മൈലേജ് test ചെയ്യാൻ full tank petrol അടിക്കുക...അപ്പോൾ വാഹനത്തിലെ kilometer reading കുറിച്ചുവെയ്ക്കുക.പിന്നീട് 300 --400 kilometer ഓടുക.വീണ്ടും tank full ആക്കുക. എത്ര liter പെട്രോൾ വേണ്ടിവന്നു എന്നത് പമ്പിലെ meter ൽ നോക്കി കുറിച്ചുവെയ്ക്കുക...വണ്ടിയിൽ meter reading കൂടി കുറിച്ചുവെയ്ക്കുക.
ഇനി ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ വണ്ടിയിലെ മീറ്റർ reading ൽ നിന്നും ആദൃത്തെ km reading കുറച്ചാൽ ആകെ എത്ര km ഓടിയെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കാം.. ഉദാഹരണം 415 km ഓടിയെന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ....415 നെ പെട്രോൾ അളവ് കൊണ്ട് ഭാഗിക്കുക. 415/ 5.51 (ltr) = 75..31 ആണ് മൈലേജ്.
മുകളിൽ കൊടുത്ത വിധത്തിൽ മാത്രമേ മൈലേജ് പരിശോധിക്കാവൂ....അല്ലാതെ tank വറ്റിച്ച് 1 liter ഒഴിച്ച് ഓടരുത് ...high pressure pump അടിച്ചുപോകും....എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും വാഹനത്തിൽ red ന് മുകളിൽ petrol ഉണ്ടാകണം...(2.5 ltr.)
