Thank you, sir.
@@masood-tvhola de que medida de diámetro es la tubería de gasolina que cambias?
Thanks so much for this video! Lots of very helpful information for me. Wanted to mention that there is no link that works on my end for tools and the hose clamps are not called hose clamps on harbor freight. Rather they are called Fluid Line Clamps about $8 before tax. I searched clamp on their site but it did not come up so I went to google images and found it that way. Also it is worth mentioning that when you say fire extinguisher, I have learned there are many kinds of extinguishers for different fire types. I don't know the one for gasoline but I know there is an oil fire extinguisher so maybe its that one?
Thank you. I will be sure to update the links. Any regular fire extinguisher will do.
Thank you!!!👍👍👍👊
Thanks, Steven.
I replaced the fuel pump but the car now won’t start, anyone know why that might be? The cables are on the correct way I have checked that
Hi @tildzo9470 , did you prime it? This means, once the pump or filter is replaced, turn the key to position 2 (right before starting the car), and keep it there for a few secs.
Yet better, instruct someone else to do that while your ear stays by the pump. You should hear it pump. If you don't, check the electric connections at the pump.
Wonderful video do you happen to know the name of the red clamp you used at the beginning of the video
Hello and thank you. You can get a set for $8 from Harbor Freight. Search there for Fluid Line Clamp Set, 4 Piece.
great!
Thx.
Hello,
Does the battery need to be disconnected?
Hello Quavanti, not really but not a bad idea or difficult to disconnect just the black or negative terminal.
@@masood-tv Gotcha! Thank you!
Np.
Why not replace the filter too
@ToddtheLoneDroner sure, good time to do both. The filter on this car was replaced recently.
@@masood-tv I'm getting no fuel pressure at the rail, so I went underneath my parched car started disconnecting the pump and the filter, not realizing i'm emptying the fuel tank holy s***
No kidding. Wow. Keep in mind plz the filter needs to be changed every 20 to 30K miles or so. The pump can run 10, 15 years, or 70 to 90k miles without issues.
@@masood-tv This s*** gets expensive as I have five mercedes.I bought 14 a park's car.I'm basically taking the pump and the filter off after cleaning them and making sure they're clear.I'm just going to use those and see if it works
@@ToddtheLoneDroner got it. Good luck, my friend.
Hello Masood, I had a new Bosch fuel pump installed last week, W210 E320 petrol. I hear the noise when I stand next to the car. Is that normal for it to make noise?
Hi, you should not hear any unusual noises from the fuel pump except at startup as you move the key to position 2, .remove the cover, get close, and see where it is coming from.
@@masood-tv the sound it makes at position 2 before starting is therefore continuous when idling
@@metogul but it shouldn't be loud or too noticeable. It may be a bad pump.
@@metogul did you buy a quality fuel pump? In my experience the cheap pumps make a loud humming noise..
@@greglopez7768 I bought the original Bosch and have now driven 7000 km with it
