- On 22 March, the High Court delivered a judgment raising "serious concerns" about the Department of Justice's handling of information that should have led to somebody being registered on the sex offenders register. It did nothing until until it was raised in the media last week and only then sought a review.
Why is a sex offender even allowed into this country never mind registering as one, like WTF is going on with this government!
I agree David we should never allow a sex offenders into Ireland never mind registering these horrors God help Ireland with these parts in charge

For all the talk about Ireland's 'rules based system', the rules are being applied to one group and not to the other. i think it has been pointed out already but why join EU pact if Helen says 80% are coming from UK, will this not mean we will get 20,000 from EU plus what comes from UK as we obviously have no right to return to UK especially if we are signed up to EU migration pact. Under EU migration pact what happens if asylum seeker is granted right to stay by France or Portugal, can that asylum seeker then move to Ireland as soon as they get their approval to stay, surely that means we could get far more than just 20,000 in a year.

Well done these are such critical issues and how many are here? Well, we will never know, it should be all over the media and it goes for the sex offenders and child abuse cases here where there is no jail time or very little punishment at al, it's all incredibly strange and as a father it makes me lose all faith in the law and government and at some stage people might have to be dealt with in other ways.

At this stage I can honestly say that my pet golden retriever would do a better job leading than the Muppets that we have in government. At least he is speaking out as a voice of reason.
I have listened to a lot of his contributions and I rate him for what it's worth as very genuine, he doesn't need headlines, he is a highly accomplished Barrister. But he is beating his well meaning head off a brick wall in that Echo Chamber.
He is in an enviable position. As an independent he has little chance of ever having Ministerial responsibility. He does however an excellent job of holding Minister to account and is far more effective at it than all of the Sinn Fein TDs in the official opposition. I hope he is not elected to the European Parliament as it more important we keep him in Ireland.
