Great video and fab recommendations. The only thing I would say is it’s not a good idea to apply heat the day after. Doing that is going to lead to damaged hair regardless of how much heat protection you use.
Hi Chloe! Loving your videos - I have the Dyson Id airwrap and your tutorials have helped me use it! I bought the Kerastase densifique mousse based on your recc for thin hair - love it. But could I please ask what you recommend for a setting spray or hairspray for fine hair, for after my curls are done? Thank you 😊
Thank you for this video, it is very helpful. I’ve just ordered the Dyson air wrap ID and watched your videos about the air wrap ID. Could you do a video about doing day 2 hair with the air wrap ID? In the videos for the air wrap you mentioned that the hair should be just slightly damp for the air wrap to work. Would just using the heat protection products add enough dampness or should we do something else? Thank you.
Happy New Year Chloe! Thank you so much for this invaluable video. I have always wondered the best way to apply heat protection and your step-by-step guidelines are exactly what I needed 🙂 One question I have is when do I apply my heat protection if I also use additional products such as a root lifter and dyson pre-style cream, neither of which have heat protection?
Thanks for this video. So on day 1, after the oil, do i use anything else? I saw you suggested the aerosols on day 2, but I wasn't sure what you do on day 1? Also, day 2, which aerosol is best for fine hair? Xx
Great question, you can absolutely use an aerosol heat protection on the dry hair on day 1 (however it’s not necessarily needed, but if you have blow dried then that heat would have affected slightly the layer of protection you have applied into the hair) so if you want to know that you’ve absolutely covered all bases and that the hair is fully protected then yeah go in and mist some aerosol heat protection! for fine hair I think you’d like best the Maria Nila shaping heat spray 🧡
Thanks Chloe. I currently use Milk Shake leave in conditioner on damp hair after washing, then I dry it & use GHD aerosol heat protection on my dry hair if I'm straightening or curling. I don't think my leave-in has got heat protection. So do the leave-ins that you recommend act as a conditioner and a heat protection? So I wouldn't need my leave-in one aswell? And you said you don't have to use a cream (my hair is fine so I probably wouldn't), but it's good practice to use an oil? Is that right? Sorry for so many questions
hey! love your videos and literally just bought the ghd blow dry brush after watching them 💕 I just wanted to ask, what heat protectants do you recommend for a hard water situation (it’s intense in Germany) which means my hair gets weighed down really quickly if i use too many or too much… I have had success with the Redken acid bonding cream but was looking for a spray… I have thick wavy hair (maybe between 2b-2c) prone to frizz! Thank you so much 🎀
Ah thank you! 🥰🧡 For hard water it’s your shampoo and conditioner that really matter here - you need a duo which removes excess calcium and minerals from the hair (which come from the hair water) that’s what builds up in the hair and makes it feel heavy and brittle The Kérastase new premiere range does exactly that - removes the excess build up from hard water and the citric acid then makes the hair soft and supple again rather than stiff and brittle So I’d definitely recommend those and then a hydrating heat protections… if you have thick wavy hair prone to frizz then I think you’d love the matrix miracle creator 20 followed with living proof no frizz styling cream and ideally also and oil too! hope this helps 🫶🏼
@ 😇 thank you so much for your detailed reply 🎀 I already have a really good shampoo conditioner set from Redken that i’m using right now, and i use the Kerastase chronologiste masque weekly. I was using the redken acid bonding leave in cream or Kerastase thermique for styling and both make my hair soft- but the trouble is i cannot use too much of either because i get a greasy blow-dry then. Which is why i was looking for lightweight heat protection spray instead…
Tysm ilysm and this video was a must tyyy ❤❤❤ happy new year

Great video! Would love to see more product-focused videos. Where do you explain how to use them ❤

Happy New Year! 🧡 glad you found this useful and I always apply first before products like root lift/mousse/volume sprays etc
Thanks Chloe! 🙂
