    Ill try to ask this question as clear as possible. Why does my swivel gun part that shoots put water, its sceew or bolt thing is flushed to the gun. Whereas the one you have showsnit to look unscrewed and extended a bit ? Hope that makes sense. Because i bought the combo foam cannon,.extenser package and gun itself. They arent able to connect

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They have multiple swivel spray guns they could be different one has a longer swivel bolt area and the newer is more internal and takes up less room.

    I have a Karcher k5 with the original hose. What fittings do I need to connect the gun to the hose?
    Thanks for your help

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To upgrade the hose there is this adapter. amzn.to/45mStl2 If you just want to upgrade the gun then there is this adapter. amzn.to/3VDYVkq If your gun has 3/8 quick connect then you will need to add this. amzn.to/4b1rgpp

    Hey Keav. Purchased an Active 2.0 yesterday. Bought the older model of the McKillans short swivel gun along with their foam cannon and a McKillans quick connect kit. Do I need to Teflon any of that? Also, as you know, the gun comes with a 1.1 internal orifice. Will this be ok on a 20 amp fuse or should I get a 1.25? Also, the pressure washer hose that it will come with will be too short, so I bought a 60 foot steel braided, Active compatible hose from Adams. The issue is that one end of the hose has a swivel connection. Where should I put this end, on the pressure washer hose outlet or on the already swiveled gun side? Thanks for your always helpful videos!!

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would stay with a 1.25 as with the 1.1 it will
      Work on a 20AMP the motor is not rated for more than 15 amp. I only Teflon the npt threads. None of the garden hose or m22 fittings need Teflon. I would put the swivel end near the spray gun.

      @jeaneebarnes2835 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Keav. I will order a 1.25.....hope it doesn't affect foam output too much..

      @@jeaneebarnes2835 With an Active 2.0 it should do pretty good. Mckillans is not known to be the best foaming unit, but it works good.

    I have the Mckillans swivel gun and I don’t have the problem that you’re talking about, it works great for me.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      Its not a problem really, but if you have used an SGS28 for any period of time every spray gun will feel like it has a lot of tension. It spoils you with how easy it is to pull and hold. I use the SGS28 as the standard for trigger tension. This is a great product either way.

    Hey Keav. I wanted ask and see if you would make a video on bendable wands. They're targeted towards car washing but it doesn't seem like the detailing community really has any videos or info on them. Seems right up your alley.
    I assembled a MTM 18" bendable lance with QCs for less than the Mckillans wand and I probably like it as much as my MTM 20" bent wand. It's stiff enough to be relatively stable when not held onto but I usually use 2-hands with a wand anyways. The added flexibility allows me to have more precise control of where I'm spraying when cleaning wheels and wheel wells.
    Another option was the MTM 16" Flex lance which is just a kobrajet hose wrapped in a spring. I ultimately decided against it mostly because I'm not sure if the spring will pinch my hand if I don't wear gloves or something. Would still love to see your take on it.
    More expensive options I looked into was the Hyde pivot nozzle wand and the Suttner push pull wand but they seemed like overkill and are not really "budget friendly" options. The Hyde seems really neat though so I'll probably pick one up someday just for general house cleaning but still kind of debating between it and just a normal 40" wand with a separate pivot coupler.
    side note: youtube commenting has been messing up for me so I hope I'm not just spamming you with comments.

      @CarsWithKeav  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will look into those have not thought about using one before. I have been using a pivoting coupler lately for a lot of that work. Appreciate the feedback.

    I just ordered the new Active gun, I do detailing once a week, but sometimes I do big trucks. You think this wand will go well with the active gun, or you have other wand suggestions? Ty. I really like your videos.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is the only wand I have reviewed and it’s great. Don’t use often as my cars are lowered. You can’t go wrong with any of them really that are stainless or brass. The biggest problem is choosing your length and angle so many choices.

      Always go with the swivel. McKillians in a great gun I use on my second pressure washer in my other garage.

    I just ordered a short spray nozzle yesterday...due to arrive tuesday. LOL I hope it's OK. I put a quick disconnect between the hose and my regular length spray gun and it rotates enough for me to keep the strain off my hose and arms. It seems that every swivel I've ever bought for air tools has always failed, and those only see 150psi max. That swivel fitting at the end of that gun looks like the ones they sell for about $15 on amazon. They've had mixed reviews. I'm not saying this one is better or worse, I'm just relaying my experience with swivel fittings in general. I do like the extension wand for the short gun though, I might just order that. This car detailing stuff has got me spending lots of money on stuff. It's too bad this stuff just doesn't automatically clean your car...that would be the cats meow. It's kinda like buying a gym membership....at the end of it all you're still the one that has to get off your a$$ and do the work. :o

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This one is slightly smaller than the add on swivels and has a real good feel to it. I have one of the add-on swivels and well and works great. The SGS28 swivel has worked for over a year now without issue. Agreed the QD helps to swivel, but it won't move much when you are pulling the trigger . It gets tighter. You can let go of the trigger and then turn to fix coiling. Any gun will work really they all perform the same its the ergonomics, materials and feel that makes the difference between a low end and high end spray gun.

    Keav - thanks for all your videos man, they REALLY help me figure stuff out. Maybe I'm missing it in your list of links, but what's that large black rinse nozzle you're using on the wand and guns towards the end of the video? Can you share a link if it's not already listed? Thanks again, sir. 👍😎👍

    what about the better trigger mounting on the Mckillans , does that offset the easyier pulling MTM ??

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the end the MTM is just better, but the McKillans is the better value. Easy pull on the MTM is just amazing to me and two years so far and still going striong.

    MTM Acqualine. The best.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are really good, but too much money for me as a weekend warrior. The SGS35 is so much bigger than the SGS28. Can't deny the 316 stainless upgrades though and food grade quality. If I was doing mobile detailing I would probably use Aqualine.
