The way you found an easier way to drift a hole for the axe was brilliant just so clever. Making a hole in an axe is the toughest part of the build I believe.

It has low relative heat capacity; you'd probably be burner more severely from a spoonfull of hot oil or grease than a red hot piece of metal falling on your skin. Those sparks don't hurt much. The sucker is if something hot gets stuck on you, or your hair gets burnt. But I think they know their safety procedures.
