The question Ive always had for the longest time was how did Anakin never fight Grevious despite the latter's reputation. And I love how TCW answered that by just simply never having the two meet.
I like how the closest they got to meeting was while Anakin was knocked out during a prisoner exchange so he never *actually* saw Grievous despite being next to him. That always made me chuckle.

I'm pretty sure Bail knew about Anakin and Padmé long before Revenge of the Sith. He sees Padmé hiding Anakin's lightsaber when Cad Bane took them hostage in TCW and he knew Anakin personally so it would seem like a stretch that he would recognize the lightsaber and connect the dots but keep it secret because they were his friends. And even if he didn't, he was not buying her story of finding the saber where Anakin dropped it for even an instant. I also think both Yoda and Count Dooku knew they were at least in love. Dooku pushed Padmé's buttons pretty effectively to get her to trade Anakin for General Grievous and it wasn't the only time he used her personal life against her either. Yoda probably worked it out at some point as well, he tried to convince Padmé to take on an undercover assignment for the Jedi and when she refused, he summoned ANAKIN to try and convince her, he contronts Anakin's emotions during the Banking Clan arc and, of course, in the film itself, he guides Kenobi towards Padmé to find out where Anakin is so I absolutely think Yoda can also be added to that list. But like Obi-Wan, I don't think he cared, he and Anakin had a pretty friendly relationship and Yoda seemed more open minded than most, maybe due to remembering the High Republic times where the Order was a bit more lenient. I definitely don't think he or Dooku ever would have told him his true identity but the fact that Grievous met Darth Sidious *in person* during their conflict with Maul and even fought alongside the Sith against him and Mother Talzin makes it hard for me to believe that Grievous grabbed Palpatine from Coruscant and didn't recognise him at all. But I also don't believe it really matters if Grievous knew or not, it probably wouldn't matter to him. He was loyal to his Sith masters and heeded their commands without hesitation. In regards to the Jedi Temple Guards, we don’t actually see what happens when Vader and the 501st walk through those front doors. For all we know the still loyal Temple Guards could have made a stand at the main entrance and were simply killed off screen, either with or without the one who would become the Grand Inquisitor. The live action shows that depict flashbacks show the clones and Vader are already deep inside the Temple, so that leaves a gap for the guards to make their final stand in defence of their temple
At the end of attack of the clones mace jumps from the balcony to avoid jango fetts flame torch as to show that he can handle falling great distances. I think it should be left to our imagination.
10:59 I prefer the idea of it being a long standing thing that simply happened at a vague point over the course of his centuries of life as a Jedi Master and Grand Master, especially because (even though it's not as long as Yoda's species) Wookiees ALSO have lifespans of several centuries. 20:25 Personally, I really dislike that idea. Given how she was the last of the Council Masters in the Jedi Temple, I feel like she should have been actively partaking in the defence by the time Anakin encounters her instead of just adding her to his list of defenceless kills.
I think that losing limbs will limit your power until/unless you learn to overcome/ignore it. Just look at Dagan Gera from Jedi: Survivor. He is able to wield a light saber with his “phantom limb”. If Vader learned to do the same he would be as powerful as before (he did lose some potential, because he has to wear the suit though).
In order: New EU Obi Wan Kenobi - Coleman Trebor Kit Fisto - Depa Billaba Even Piell - Coleman Kcaj Depa Billaba - Adi Gallia Stass Allie - Depa Billaba Eeth Koth - Agen Kolar Anakin Skywalker - Oppo Rancisis In the begging of the Clone Wars its just Yoda, Mace and Plo due to budge reasons. Season 2 shows Kit on the council as early as the first episode showing Depa is off by this point. Season 6 is the closes we got to a full chamber and Depa and Stass Allies models wear made before it got cancelled. Depa was meant to be in the kyber crystal arc and Dark Disciple but since Stass needs to be on there by ROTS Depa needs to be kicked off again. Agen would have replaced Eeth in season 7-8 and which arcs they would have lost their lives in is unknown. Old EU: Kit Fisto - Coleman Trebor Obi Wan - Depa Billaba Agen Kolar - Eeth Koth Stass Allie - Adi Gallia Coleman Kcaj - Oppo Rancisis Anakin Skywalker - Even Piell Obi Wan is in Depas seat in the 2003 clone wars and Fisto is in Trebors. In the ROTS novel its said Obi Wan replaced Oppo but since animation comes first its clear thats a typo. When you look at the wiki articles for the rest you get a bit of timeline and the order it happened in. Leland Chee was the one said Anakin replaced Even. Also them moving about doesn’t help and Shaak Ti would have been replaced by Tusi Choi had George kept her death scene in.
9:43 while I do find this answer interesting, idk if I agree with it. In RotS, the new council members we see (as in they weren’t shown on the council in the Clone Wars or any book/comic between S6 and RotS) are Agen Kolar likely replacing Eeth Koth, Stass Allie likely replacing Depa Billaba, and Anakin, who I thought likely replaced Oppo Rancisis. That would make the council lineup: 1. Yoda 2. Mace Windu 3. Ki-Adi-Mindi 4. Plo Koon 5. Saesee Tiin 6. Shaak Ti 7. Kit Fisto 8. Obi-Wan Kenobi 9. Coleman Kcaj 10. Agen Kolar 11. Stass Allie 12. Anakin Skywalker Obviously this is just speculation and isn’t concrete (like idk why Rancisis would need to be replaced) but that’s just my two cents
I believe Oppo is on a list of Order 66 survivors in a Vader comic, so either it’s someone else, or the more interesting answer: he was taken of the Council for some reason, I believe Eeth Koth was, and in Legends he was some kind of Blood Prince or something
It’s a bit silly that ROTS only takes place across a few days, I always thought there was a big gap between the Battle over Coruscant and the rest of the film
It's definitely a demonstration of how much of a masterpiece it could have been. Although there are some moments that seem... odd, especially in the sequences such as Yoda and Obi Wan entering the Jedi Temple or Vader slicing his way through Mustafar: "I am your reward." The Sith Lord said, "You don't find me handsome?"
I remember reading a comment about a Lego Star Wars show where Grievous kidnaps Palpatine and almost blows Palpatine’s cover in front of C-3PO, which means Grievous can’t keep a secret and explains why he never realized Sidious double identity. I know LSW isnt canon but somehow makes sense
Grevious knowing who Sheev is would make him a loose end should he go rogue. His only purpose was to kill as many Jedi as possible and the last thing Sheev wants is Grevious teaming up with the Jedi.
Two things I've always wondered is 1. Did Dooku know Palpatine and Sidious were the same person? (Judging by his reaction to Palpatine telling Anakin to kill him) 2. Why wasn't R2's memory erased along with 3PO's? (In universe explanation obviously)
Dooku did know. Can't speak on the official reason why R2 didn't get his memory wiped, but my head canon is that it's because he can keep his mouth shut, unlike 3PO.
To be fair, anyone who can wield Force Lightning is never unarmed. Palpatine very well could've killed Mace Windu anyway had Mace tried to take him alive.
I think midichlorians are counted by parts per million or something. So that losing a limb (or being small) doesn’t impact how the midichlorians are counted with regard to Force ability by the Jedi.
If Yoda spent 19 years on Dagabah, doesn't that mean it was much longer for him since time is slower on Dagabah? I hadn't thought of that until this video🤔
time isn't slower on Dagobah. Time Relativity doesn't really exist in Star Wars, outside special phenomenons like Mortis or the World Between Worlds, and there is no reason to belive Dagobah is such a place.
@@Olochgu It's confirmed that Dagabah is one of those places, but I've never seen an acknowledgement of it beyond the fact that Luke was there much longer than it seemed
@@GusBatista03 where was it confirmed? and since we don't have confirmed timeframes for Luke's time training and how long the Falcon took from Hoth to Bespin without hyperdrive, that is not an acknowledgement of that, but rather weird timeline synchronicity.
Love this channel. For those of us not that deep into the lore you help summarize a lot of gaps! My question is: Where in canon is it said that Plagus and Palpatine are actually master and apprentice? Many vids just state this as fact based on the Plaigus non-canon book it seems. With so many experts saying it's so, I'm sure it's the case, it just sticks out to me every time because vids (including this one) never cite a canon source. What am I missing? Cheers and thanks for your content!
Tarkin (a canon book that was originally supposed to be legends) is essentially written as if the plagueis novel is canon (it was written by the same guy). In Tarkin palpatine says that plagueis was his master.
My immediate thought on Sheev contacting the Clone Commanders is that he seemed to personally call the leaders backing up key Jedi, such as Coucil members, or those he feared most! He did seem to fear Obi-Wan quite strongly, which turned out to be based, so that would make sense for the first! Although, does anyone else think that Obi-Wan sets off some alarm on that ring he passes through? The call comes through jus has he's heading up, it keeps throwing me! "No, it's a call to Cody from the Chancellor, you fool!" Every time...
I definitely think Rex got a personal call from Palpatine. Obviously he didn’t say it because they just used Ian’s iconic line from the movie, but after Rex accepted the order Palpatine hologram lingers for like another 2 seconds to basically show that yes Palpatine called Rex personally. It makes sense considering that Palpatine wanted to get rid those who were closest to Anakin and makes sense that he’d want to call the commanders who were under the command of his closest friends. And it makes even more tragic because Rex was also a really close friend of Anakin and Palpatine made another close friend try to kill another one of Anakin’s close friends.
Canon material like the novel Master and Apprentice states that a council member cannot have a padawan. Depa Billaba was already with Caleb Dume for some time, relatively immediately following a coma she was in, therefore, Anakin replaces Oppo Rancisis, still on the council that same year, if anyone was replaced at all.
@@Olochgu Qui-Gon is told in Master and Apprentice, the main conflict of the story, that he would have to give up Obi-Wan if he would want a seat on the council. In the Living Force, to your credit, Depa tells Mace that she would want a padawan, Mace says it's incredibly rare and difficult for a council member to have a padawan. Depa does eventually step down after having Caleb. Master and Apprentice did make it seem like it was an outright rule, but after it's been expanded upon, suppose it's not a rule, but same difference.
I actually did some math to basically figure out roughly how many jedi survived Order 66 and I came up with roughly 100-200, and by time of ANH roughly 50-70.
If you listen during the scene where Vader is being suited up there's a heartbeat sound effect slowly petering out as the suit is completed and brought online. I always thought that this was suggesting that Palpatine was sapping Padme's life away to keep Anakin/Vader alive. I figured it was because he couldn't discover how to truly create or sustain life from nothing or from the Force itself, so he had to take the energy from another being, and maybe it was easier/more feasible if the beings were closely connected (emotionally speaking). In my mind that does add to the tragedy. Palpatine manipulated Anakin precisely and played on his fears of losing Padme to turn him into Vader. Anakin did all of the horrific things he did to try to save Padme which is what landed them both where they were in that moment, based on Palpatine's promise of saving her. Then, Palpatine just took her life anyway, which wouldn't have happened otherwise, and initially just tried to gaslight Anakin with 'Oh, my boy, you just don't know your own strength and you killed her. So sad.' Anakin felt her alive back on Mustafar and knew he hadn't killed her, so I think he knew Palpatine was lying. I think Anakin figured out Palpatine had sapped Padme's life force to keep him alive, and from then on that was something he would have to live with in that suit, after having betrayed the Jedi and all of the horrible things that went with it to prevent Padme's death in the first place. He spent the following years trying to overthrow Palpatine out of hate, and this could be one of the main things driving that hate.
Thanks for making this video! Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars movie (and one of my favorite Star Wars novels), so I'm interested in learning as much about it as I can! I have always argued that we actually saw Mace Windu die in the movie. It appears to me that his body goes limp while he's being electrocuted, suggesting that the Force lightning killed him, and then Palpatine throws his dead body out the window. So I do believe Mace Windu is dead, and I agree that he should stay dead. I would, however, love to see Samuel L. Jackson play him again, which has led me to speculate ways that could happen. Aside from using digital de-aging to portray a younger Mace Windu, I had an idea that maybe Palpatine had his body recovered to be used as a test subject in his experiments with cloning to achieve immortality. I've imagined that one of these experiments could succeed, creating a clone of Mace Windu who has no memories but is strong with the Force. Maybe he could have the same darkness that the real Mace Windu learned to master, but no control over it or his powers, resulting in some destructive and badass moments! But, as cool as that would look, I'm not sure it sounds like a good story.
Although, Palpatine was elected in a Special Election in the first place, so did he get to finish out Valorum's term before getting two full terms of his own? Hmm, but there were only 10 years between TPM and AotC. In that case, he probably didn't get two full terms in addition to a partial term before staying on even further in the lead up to the Clone Wars. So, is it two full terms before the first extension, or only one full term allowed after a partial term before the first extension?
One assumption a lot of people make is that Sidious used Sith alchemy to alter Anakin’s dreams. I haven’t seen any evidence to support this other than Sidious using shatterpoint to know Anakin’s future.
Aweh, you didn't even mention the most age old question of all: What exactly caused Palpatine to become "Scarred and deformed"? Was it his sith lightning being turned against him by Mace, or was Palpatine actually using Sith Alchemy to hide how deformed he was from Dark Side corruption and Mace simply broke through the illusion during the fight?
One thing I find interesting people fail to point out is Debbie Reynolds (Carrie Fisher’s mom) died the same way Padme does. After Carrie’s death she passed shortly after from heartbreak. Tragic that her fictional mother and real mother had the same fate.
Fantastic video, i honestly love these videos you have done answering all these questions from the first 2 trilogies My question is this, will you be doing similar videos on each episode in the sequel trilogy as im sure there are plenty of frequently asked questions about episode 7, 8 and 9 also what about a video about rogue one and Solo, im sure they have questions too.
The scar is from the leech-like worms that were attached to his body not long before the opening battle of Revenge of the Sith. There were more of those scars on his arms and his chest. (Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars, season 2)
I don't agree with the Yoda being smaller example. Whatever his size, he had a certain concentration of midichlorians. When Anakin had his arm chopped off, he lost some of that concentration, which equates to losing power.
I like the theory that Anakin did pretty much kill Padme on Mustafar and it was Luke and Leia who kept her alive. Which is why she dies once they are born. They can no longer keep he alive.
Great video. Biggest question my friends and I had after seeing RotS in the theater was whether Palpatine was deformed by his own force lightning or it just forced him to drop his mask.
The Star Wars Insider magazine answered the timespan question back when the movie was new, and noted the lighting in certain scenes, but this got me wondering about travel time: Padme leaves Coruscant for Mustafar in the early evening and arrives before the sunset at the Senate building (going by the establishing shot) so she made record time getting to the Outer Rim!
If you watched the deleted Attack Of The Clones scene, you'll see that "turning off* the droid control ship didn't work. Why? Because, learning the lessons of the Battle Of Naboo, the CIS built a backup system in their droids that kicked in if the control ship is shut down. However, Revenge Of The Sith seems to imply that there is a master control of some type for the droid army and once you shut it down, they're shut down for good
You didn’t really understand the quote of George Lucas’ when speaking about the order 66 survivors. He says by the time Luke would go searching for them, there would be 50-100 left, not 50-100 surviving the initial order 66. The empire, inquisitors, and bounty hunters were hunting and killing many Jedi during the purge in the first about 15 years of the empire, so many more Jedi must’ve initially survived order 66 and been hunted down for there to be 50-100 left by around 25 years after order 66 which is when Luke searched for them.
With the theory that Palpatine killed Padmé, I've always thought that if Palpatine was capable of killing a person across the galaxy just like that (without even knowing where she was) then he could have done that with any enemy and would be way to OP for the story to work
A lot of the Gendy CW explains more than ppl think despite some inconsistencies, specially with the RotS deleted scenes. The Coruscant invasion even lines up with the Ahsoka subplot with Tarkin where they both have the halves of the secret hyperspace corridor plans. That plot was never resolved.
Cant believe you didnt address the biggest mystery. If the force lightning revealed sidious true appearance or if it indeed deformed his face as he claims before the senate.
I honestly wonder if it could be a bit of both. The sunken yellow eyes, rotted teeth and fingernails being the true face of Sidious, but full power of his own lightning turned back on him caused the damage to his skin and even his bones (I think the novel mentions he could feel his bones softening but I’m not 100% sure). If we look at TROS when Rey reflects his lightning back at him it continues to change his appearance until it completely obliterates him, something we see Revan do in legends to Darth Nyriss, turning her into a pile of ash.
Not in reference to Master Windu perhaps, but in the ‘Ewoks: Caravan of Courage’ movie, one of the main characters is also called Mace, Mace Towani, and his name gets said a lot!
26:10 The version I've heard is Vader/Anakin sapping Padme's lifeforce unknowingly, and that's my chosen headcanon. Anyway, love these explanation videos!
0:17 Yeah that fleet symbol is also on an Item 18:14 to the left when the clone trooper gets order sixty six and goes to kill yoda. 19:12 The campaign for battlefront 2 (2005) had temple guards with guns.
When Grevious says, "You are doomed." Did he know about Order 66 and that the Jedi were to be annihilated or was he thinking that his droid armies would win the day and destroy the Jedi and the Republic? ...... Also, in Empire, they redid the convo between Palpatine and Vader. Vader questions that Luke is his son. Is he playing dumb for the Emperor...like acting surprised or is it sloppy screenwriting? I ask this because earlier, before Hoth and in the crawl, it says that Vader is obsessed with finding Luke. So, he knows who he is. So is he playing dumb for the Emperor so he can turn Luke without the Emperor knowing so he can overthrow him?
Padme going from a 3-4 months pregnant to giving birth to two healthy babies a week later is perhaps the biggest plot hole in Star Wars. I’m fine with it, just sayin’.

Wonderful video for new Star Wars fans to learn facts and old fans to refresh their knowledge.
In order:
New EU
Obi Wan Kenobi - Coleman Trebor
Kit Fisto - Depa Billaba
Even Piell - Coleman Kcaj
Depa Billaba - Adi Gallia
Stass Allie - Depa Billaba
Eeth Koth - Agen Kolar
Anakin Skywalker - Oppo Rancisis
In the begging of the Clone Wars its just Yoda, Mace and Plo due to budge reasons.
Old EU:
Kit Fisto - Coleman Trebor
Obi Wan - Depa Billaba
Agen Kolar - Eeth Koth
Stass Allie - Adi Gallia
Coleman Kcaj - Oppo Rancisis
Anakin Skywalker - Even Piell
Obi Wan is in Depas seat in the 2003 clone wars and Fisto is in Trebors.
That would make the council lineup:
1. Yoda
2. Mace Windu
3. Ki-Adi-Mindi
4. Plo Koon
5. Saesee Tiin
6. Shaak Ti
7. Kit Fisto
8. Obi-Wan Kenobi
9. Coleman Kcaj
10. Agen Kolar
11. Stass Allie
12. Anakin Skywalker
Obviously this is just speculation and isn’t concrete (like idk why Rancisis would need to be replaced) but that’s just my two cents
I believe Oppo is on a list of Order 66 survivors in a Vader comic, so either it’s someone else, or the more interesting answer: he was taken of the Council for some reason, I believe Eeth Koth was, and in Legends he was some kind of Blood Prince or something
He definitely replaces Oppo in legends. He dies shortly before ROTS on Salucami in the comics.
It’s a bit silly that ROTS only takes place across a few days, I always thought there was a big gap between the Battle over Coruscant and the rest of the film
Taking the time to say this.
Read the Revenge of the Sith novelization.
it is legitimately far and away the greatest star wars novel ever written.
It's definitely a demonstration of how much of a masterpiece it could have been. Although there are some moments that seem... odd, especially in the sequences such as Yoda and Obi Wan entering the Jedi Temple or Vader slicing his way through Mustafar:
"I am your reward." The Sith Lord said, "You don't find me handsome?"
"You're on the council, but we do not grant you a seat on the counsil. Go sit on the floor or something, young Skywalker"
Now comes the wait for when the "The Most Frequently Asked Questions ANSWERED" videos for the Sequel Trilogy.
Unless he decides to do the theatrical Clone Wars movie before that lol
@@directorforplastic7929 he better lol
@@directorforplastic7929 He once said on a live that he didn't know and hadn't read the novelation of that movie.
Ive been looking forward to this.
Other famous character who died from a broken heart / losing to will to live, Arwen Undómiel, Queen of Gondor and Arnor.
Grevious knowing who Sheev is would make him a loose end should he go rogue. His only purpose was to kill as many Jedi as possible and the last thing Sheev wants is Grevious teaming up with the Jedi.
Thank you for everything Alex and Molly!
Yes ! Thank you, I’ve waited for this video !
Two things I've always wondered is
1. Did Dooku know Palpatine and Sidious were the same person? (Judging by his reaction to Palpatine telling Anakin to kill him)
2. Why wasn't R2's memory erased along with 3PO's? (In universe explanation obviously)
Dooku did know.
Can't speak on the official reason why R2 didn't get his memory wiped, but my head canon is that it's because he can keep his mouth shut, unlike 3PO.
What happened to the Jedi Temple? It's now a Spirit Halloween.
To be fair, anyone who can wield Force Lightning is never unarmed. Palpatine very well could've killed Mace Windu anyway had Mace tried to take him alive.
@@nagger8216 Well, both scenes did use the quote of "He's too dangerous to keep alive" as a callback.
I think midichlorians are counted by
parts per million or something. So that losing a limb (or being small) doesn’t impact how the midichlorians are counted with regard to Force ability by the Jedi.
Yeah, it's a measurement per cell, so amputation shouldn't affect that measurement.
Yeah it’s more a density thing, the overall amount shouldn’t matter.
If Yoda spent 19 years on Dagabah, doesn't that mean it was much longer for him since time is slower on Dagabah? I hadn't thought of that until this video🤔
Interesting if that’s really true.
time isn't slower on Dagobah.
@@Olochgu Alex mentioned it in a recent video, but it's basically a partial explanation for episode 5's unclear timeline
No one:
Palpatine for 20hrs straight: Execute Order 66!
These videos are sooo thorough!! Very impressive and fun to watch!!!
Canon material like the novel Master and Apprentice states that a council member cannot have a padawan. Depa Billaba was already with Caleb Dume for some time, relatively immediately following a coma she was in, therefore, Anakin replaces Oppo Rancisis, still on the council that same year, if anyone was replaced at all.
iirc it's not that council members can't have a Padawan, but that they customarily don't, because they have so many duties already.
Wasn't expecting this today 😮
17:01 I mean, won't stop Disney; they already did that to Palpatine...
Thank You for all the hard work you have put into this series!!! Amazing work!!!
Everytime Alex said "who lives, who dies" all I could think of was Hamilton
So sad.'
Anakin felt her alive back on Mustafar and knew he hadn't killed her, so I think he knew Palpatine was lying.
Thanks Alex, love these videos! Can't wait for the sequel ones
I preferred it when ANH was the next and last time Obi-Wan met Vader since ROTS
Although, Palpatine was elected in a Special Election in the first place, so did he get to finish out Valorum's term before getting two full terms of his own?
Hmm, but there were only 10 years between TPM and AotC. In that case, he probably didn't get two full terms in addition to a partial term before staying on even further in the lead up to the Clone Wars. So, is it two full terms before the first extension, or only one full term allowed after a partial term before the first extension?
This series of videos you have been doing are great!! Love them!! Cheers
What about gendy tartakovsky animation, he sacrifice his body to be part of a tribe, and a slug burnt that scar, try to look for all angles.
Correct! There were more of those scars on his chest and his arms. (Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars, season 2)
Thanks for answering these questions
15:11 I NEED context on this panel, Palpatine telling someone to square tf up looks so funny to me
One assumption a lot of people make is that Sidious used Sith alchemy to alter Anakin’s dreams. I haven’t seen any evidence to support this other than Sidious using shatterpoint to know Anakin’s future.
Fun video, thanks for making it.
Top video, thank you!
In the comics Grievous' mind was altered and much of his past memories removed, it's possible he only thinks he volunteered
Great vid
One thing I find interesting people fail to point out is Debbie Reynolds (Carrie Fisher’s mom) died the same way Padme does. After Carrie’s death she passed shortly after from heartbreak. Tragic that her fictional mother and real mother had the same fate.
Will you be doing these types of videos for the Sequel Trilogy films?
I have NEVER been this early to a Video. 😏🖤
Yes! Here we go!!!
Fantastic video, i honestly love these videos you have done answering all these questions from the first 2 trilogies
My question is this, will you be doing similar videos on each episode in the sequel trilogy as im sure there are plenty of frequently asked questions about episode 7, 8 and 9 also what about a video about rogue one and Solo, im sure they have questions too.
Anakin got his scar when he was facing ventress in the original clone wars micro-series tv show
@@nagger8216 it was a sick ass fight I think she had the upper hand until she gave him the scar, then anakin popped off
The scar is from the leech-like worms that were attached to his body not long before the opening battle of Revenge of the Sith. There were more of those scars on his arms and his chest. (Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars, season 2)
These are excellent
Bravo Alex!
Hope Rogue One is next
Great video. Biggest question my friends and I had after seeing RotS in the theater was whether Palpatine was deformed by his own force lightning or it just forced him to drop his mask.
RIP Fives. I wish they would had listened to you sooner.
Thanks, Alex! 🌋
I can’t wait for the Sequel Trilogy to be covered by these videos!
Which pretty much states more than a 100 Jedi survived Order 66
With the theory that Palpatine killed Padmé, I've always thought that if Palpatine was capable of killing a person across the galaxy just like that (without even knowing where she was) then he could have done that with any enemy and would be way to OP for the story to work
A lot of the Gendy CW explains more than ppl think despite some inconsistencies, specially with the RotS deleted scenes. The Coruscant invasion even lines up with the Ahsoka subplot with Tarkin where they both have the halves of the secret hyperspace corridor plans. That plot was never resolved.
1:17 I was sure they were going to show it in that movie.
19:10 That part always makes me cry.
Amen❤
Cant believe you didnt address the biggest mystery. If the force lightning revealed sidious true appearance or if it indeed deformed his face as he claims before the senate.
I think if it deformed his face, we’d see that kind of scarring on other people when Palpatine shocks them (e.g. Luke), right?
I honestly wonder if it could be a bit of both. The sunken yellow eyes, rotted teeth and fingernails being the true face of Sidious, but full power of his own lightning turned back on him caused the damage to his skin and even his bones (I think the novel mentions he could feel his bones softening but I’m not 100% sure).
If we look at TROS when Rey reflects his lightning back at him it continues to change his appearance until it completely obliterates him, something we see Revan do in legends to Darth Nyriss, turning her into a pile of ash.
@@ariesstorm9577When he regenerated, he still looked like post lightning Palpatine. So I'm pretty sure he was wearing a "mask" through sith sorcery.
The name “mace” has never been said in a single Star Wars movie.
Obi Wan's Open Circle Fleet Symbol is even on His Jedi Starfighter
Awesome vid, can't wait for the Force Awakens MFAQA
To be fair, people actually can die of a broken heart
