Josh Hartnett might be an ex cop, who kidnapped the real Butcher and plans to kill him after the concert by avenging his wife's murder.
Then there will be no point of him worrying about trying to leave and he probably would have killed the real butcher already and there’ll be no point for the movie hell I’m probably wrong anyway

Or he thinks he's captured the real butcher and is surprised when the vendor tells him he'll be at the concert. That's why he checks his phone to see if the guy is still locked up. Turns out he captured an innocent man. Maybe the butcher will either be his daughter or his split personality

This assumes that the dad being The Butcher is the only twist. Shyamalan wouldn't give away such a great twist if he didn't have something else waiting to blow our minds.

At first I thought the dad was Jason Ritter, but it's great to see Hartnett taking the leading role in this.
He's not don't a lot recently, especially compared to some actors, but he did have a leading role in the Penny Dreadfull TV series. That was a fantastic three seasons of spooky period drama.
You haven’t seen his indie work that he said he wanted to do after Hollywood Hunkdom. He’s been lead, ensemble, and supporting actor in his career. He’s a happy family man who picks only those projects he’s attracted to for director/actors. Kids are older so he does more mainstream now. Last year: Black Mirror, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, The Fear Index series, and Oppenheimer. He was one of the 6 ensemble members getting a SAG award for Oppie.
I don't think he's the killer, they want us to think that. Shamylan wouldn't put it on the trailer.

Plus, in that one scene the police are seen dragging out another guy on the top row, so do they not know what the killer looks like? 🤔 And why wouldn’t they install these cameras _before_ the concert if they knew he was gonna be there?

@@flanagamer If they knew what he looked like they wouldn't need this crazy trap and they would have put the cameras before. They put the cameras after because they wanted the guy stuck inside first. If he spotted the cameras, the killer might have no gone into the trap.
@@flanagamer Maybe because they're assuming the killer is a genius , so they thought it'd raise suspicion ?
One theory I've heard is that this is in "The World of M. Night Shyamalan" which seems to hint that this is connected to one of his other movies. What if they knew that the killer was going to be at the concert because someone informed on him? Someone who is...DEAD! What if Cole from "The Sixth Sense" went to the police and told them that a ghost had come to him to help catching the Butcher? But the ghost can't describe his killer because he never saw his face. But the killer did say something about going to this concert? Let's say we get through most of the movie not knowing how the police got the tip. The bad guy is trying to run away and just as he's about to escape BAM! A grown-up Cole is blocking his path with a couple of cops, guns drawn.
Josh Hartnett was last in Oppenheimer and I am so happy he is acting again I am so ready for this movie.
@themoviecouple I have a theory that the bigger twist is that his daughter in this is the real serial killer or she helps him do this stuff(just my opinion)

Josh Hartnett has been a popular and sought-after actor in indie films for 20+ years. He has a global fan base and an international reputation among directors. Check out his filmography. Not all the indies are well done but Hartnetts’s performances are always standouts. 3 of his kids are older now so he’s doing more mainstream work. For years he would only do short shoots or ones close to his home in England. Me, a 20+ year fan of the man 😁

This is the most M. Night Shyamalan thing ever lol. Expect a twist on top of a twist and an even darker twist which I’m here for. Not usually a fan of his movies but I did like Knock at the Cabin and Old. Josh Hartnett having a career resurgence as of late. Good for him.

I know he is in them other films that were/still are heavily advertised on Radio, TV, Mags, Social Media etc like : Oppenheimer released last Summer +Guy Ritchie's-Wrath of Man from Spring of 2021!
I really liked him in that miniseries 4 parter in early 2022-The Fear Index as well!
I also think they know he is there due to a tip off/ or a victim of this escaped and knows what he looks like!

What if this is a sequel to The Sixth Sense? how do they know the serial killer is going to be in this particular arena seeing this particular concert? If they knew who the killer was, wouldn't they just arrest him? Well, maybe they only have the information to go off of because someone has told them, like perhaps one of "The Butcher's" recent victims. A ghost. Somehow Josh Hartnett is connected to the Cole character. Maybe he is Cole - grown up
hes not the butcher, he's probably a cop or related to a victim of the butcher and he wants revenge
Here's another possible twist, what if the guy he has tied up, is really The Butcher, and he is torturing him, but doesn't want the cops to find out! Either way, this looks very interesting.

my feelings about the guy &
his daughter the seene where there both are seen with friendship bracelets so we know that he's close with his daughter & they speculated that he might of brought a bomb to the concert to set up the police when the bomb went off the father tried to save his daughter but couldn't & then he died at the concert along with others. Maybe the death of his daughter & himself is causing him to reapet the situation over & over it could be that the death of his daughter drove him even more caazy. They say there's a twist in this story, thats just my thoughts i could be wrong.

What if the cops DO know what he looks like? The detective (Hayley Mills) could have been surveilling him for a long time. Note the scene where the cops are pulling a guy down the aisle and Cooper looking nervous. Hmmm. But I just can’t see Cooper being The Butcher. Red herring. Hmmm.

Just cuz the director is known for having a twist in his films doesnt always mean its gonna have a twist in this film.
In M Night Shyamalan movies it always be a twist within a twist. So maybe it seems that Josh Hartnett could be The Butcher but the real killer is already there or maybe it's his daughter. I remember a report at Cinema-Con said the premise of the movie is a serial killer that target his victims at concerts which is why the cops are there for a sting operation to see if he shows up.

I like this trailer but them showing the black dude motioning with his hands about chopping people up doesn't make sense. If you were going to tell someone something secretly you wouldn't be all full of motions displaying anything related to what's taking place. Maybe it won't matter so much if the movie is good but red flag with the body language.
The premise is great so im worried its gonna suck with twists n be more convoluted than seems hopes uts just a psychological horror n from serial killer pov hope hes not s good guy really that be lame.n boring..
M. Night likes "twists" and it was funny one of the detectives is played by Haley Mills who early in her career played twin girls in "The Parent Trap" Possible ideas: Lady "Raven" who is M. Night's real daughter and real performer but the "raven" part could be an Edgar Allan Poe metaphor of Josh's madness to a past trauma such as when he tells his daughter I will be right back but perhaps she was one of The Butcher's victims and this was a memory and he became a vigilante type killer. In the clip there is a sign for the film The Watchers a film by his daughter Ishana.
