Great gift getting a 4090 but would say for your build and setup its mega overkill. I had one in my build but never changed from my 1080p monitor. Sold it in the end for 1600 and bought a 3080ti for 300. Gaming and 1440p UWHD ultra on everything now.
Glad you changed the PSU too, the 2 8 pins split into 4 that you used with the adapter had me stressing at first haha.

Yeah its definitely overkill for a 1080p monitor. Im severely cpu bottlenecked. I only use the 1080p screen at home tho. I got a 4k 60hz and a 1440p 144hz screen at school but im on break now. Gotta see what its like when I get to school. Plus 24 gb of vram lets me run more ai models which is the main roadblock I was running into on the 3060ti tbh. Yup hes the goat

Thanks! The case is def nice for the price. Just 130 for the case and the 700 w power supply. Only real issue is that the IO comes out of the bottom so if you swap stuff around a lot it gets annoying.
u have too use 4 separate pci cables that insnt enough power
Oh man good thing I switched to an atx 3.0 compatible power supply. I see what you mean, I def needed at least 3 separate power cables when I was using the other psu. Thanks for letting me know

Yeah hes the goat. I'll keep that in mind for next time. I didn't want to waste anyone's time if they were just wondering if it would fit but I guess it would have been better to not show it lol.

I don't play a ton of games that would be able to make use of the multi frame gen that brings the performance close to the 4090. Without multi frame gen (dlss 4) does not match the 4090. Not saying 5070 its bad at all. Definitely a great value assuming dlss 4 doesn't have any issues especially for gaming. Plus the main reason I needed the 4090 was for the vram for ai models and productivity tasks.
