We share our top 8 things to do in Kyoto for first timers traveling to Japan in 2023! If it is Autumn, definitely pay the ticket and go into Kiyomizudera temple. The view opposite, overlooking the main wooden stage, with a sea of red maple leaves. It was stunning especially during sunset. My friends got tired after all the walking. Choose to wait outside and not go in. Big regrets after I showed them the videos and photos I took.
Enjoyable and beautiful. Everyone I know who goes to Japan loves it.
For me Kyoto is the second best Japanese City behind Tokyo! Kyoto is still very very beautiful and I'd always recommend to visit this place when you travel to Japan

Kyoto is beautiful. The main attacrations can be crowded but with more time there is so much more to see without the crowds. I feel that you two will be back in Japam soon enough to explore some more🥰

Guys you should have visit inside that temple of kiyomizu dear temple. The actual beauty is actually from inside. I went it regardless of crowd. It’s definitely worth it!

Thank you very much for revisiting all the places we visited 10 years ago. Most memorable moments were our stay in Takayama and a day trip to Shirakawago, and the Thousand Red Torii Gates. Hoping Miyajima island is on your checklist.

I love this!!! I appreciate your content. I am currently planning for next year November 2024 family trip to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. We just went to Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea this past July. We can’t get enough of Japan. But your list is awesome. I definitely want to do the 1-3 on your list. Plus that app Magic is something I need to download. The food boat on your river ride is a floating version of a food truck - love it! I wasn't epecting to see a 'Wendy's' in the Nishiki Market.

We were staying in Gion for 6 days. Our hotel was a blocks always from Yasaka Jinja. It was such a great trip. But we didn't take a boat ride at Arashiyama.
That's a great location! We stayed a bit further out but it was still convenient to get around by bus and metro.
I gave the interview to come there before 2 years ago. I couldn't select but i was already selected in Osaka City. There were only graduated could give the interview.
i find kyoto better than tokyo. as always waiting for the next one

Majority of places prefer cash...only hotels, some convenience stores and some restaurants 👍take credit. We withdrew cash from 711 ATMS..the fee is minimal. Hope you'll have a great time in Japan!

That’s what we did 😆 There are more places to visit if you have a few more days there… mostly more temples and shrines and maybe a day trip to Nara.
