This is something I've been considering for a while now. A smaller lighter power supply to carry in the van as a stand-by power supply instead of the ecoflo delta and 100watt solar panel we currently have. The ecoflo folding solar panel is very disappointing and I've stopped carrying it on the van, and this smaller unit, or the 100, would perhaps suit all of our off-grid activities better with less bulk. Another great review John, cheers. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
I've been impressed by these folding solar panels from Aferiy and Dabbsson, they are capable of getting really close to their stated power even when the sun isn't at its highest point of the day. The smaller power stations do have an appeal for ad hoc needs.
Hi John, Could I plug this unit into the side of my caravan, where I would normally plug into mains electric on site..we do a lot of rally's so off grid . Perhaps use 800 watt microwave or a low watt air fryer, obviously not the fridge... I've an Engine x apparently people who have ordered one of late can no longer de district. ! Thank for the videos it helps me because I'm rubbish understanding electrics . Many thanks 👍
Thanks for another very informative vlog. I'm clueless when it comes to power and wondered if this would power a 24 inch portable TV used for streaming TH-cam for about 2 hours? Cheers.
Hi john...small enough to charge in Costa whilst drinking their cheapest coffee..chill out for an hour and all charged up...sockets under their seats 👌🤣🤣
Hi John, love your videos... I have this particular power unit, great in my Camper/day van, will power my coolbox for 7 hours, while at home it makes a great ups for my gaming computer system and runs my Raspberry Pi5 daily driver.
Thoughts on the Ecoflow alternator charger John? Personally i dont want an exoflow power station, so hoping the xt90 connection on this alternator charger would work on an alternative power station??
The ecoflow dc to dc charger is so bloody expensive for what you get. The cheaper and better way to charge power banks from your engine is the dc to dc upscale charger I made a video all about a few months back. Works a treat and works with any power bank & 12 battery.
Thanks for this review, looking at getting extra charging when I get my van, what is the highest wattage you can power by this? Another brilliant review.😊
Hi John, I think I mentioned before I have the Aferiy 1200w version, my only real disappointment is the Solar input is restricted, I tried connecting up my 3 120w panels in series and the Aferiy just bleeps and refuses to accept it, it only accepts 2 panels giving 210w in good sunlight, whereas when plugged into my 2000w Genny it will charge at 700w in 2 hours 🤷🏻♂️
All systems have solar max limits and you’ll find you’ve created a higher voltage than allowed, in that case you simply wire the panels together in parallel.

Thanks John I like your reviews on products, you test them well and give everyone good ideas of how and when to use them!
Those little ones actually look super cool. I could have really done with one of those to give me some lights whilst I’m building the camper 😁

The 230v inverter produces 800 watts with a 1600 watt surge as mentioned in the video.
@@GadgetJohn I know you said it in video but I don’t understand all that tbh, will have a read up about it all, thanks

good vid on channel keep up the good vid thanks lee
Thanks, will do!
How do you charge the power station when off grid in a campervan
Please watch the video as that all explained.
just wounding if it wond work on a 900 watt air fryer as it has a peak of 1600 watts and the air fryer turns on and off
The power of the unit is 800 watts, so your 900 watt air fryer would be too much and it’d overload
Would prefer this to my Afery 2000, but not sure how much could sell that for, hardly used as plans changed.
Love my 2000w one best thing ever got for campervan
😊
