Worked in an embroidery shop at the beginning. Definitely feast or famine, either crazy busy or slump. Plan for those down times, and market your business!! Also, if you're doing one-offs, CHARGE FOR YOUR SET UP TIME. Find your niche - it may be doctors and dentists, bursing schools, plumbers, etc. but find your bread and butter first.
Shoot I’ve been watching you since 2016 and yes I’m still hoping my time will come ❤I love your growth ❤❤❤
Your direct and to the point is much appreciated.
Your business journey shows that there is no easy path to wealth or success. Start in a spare bedroom and you end up in a warehouse with multiple machines and staff. Your other videos are a testament to your very hard work, including long days and nights and constant marketing, in addition to raising a family. You're an inspiration.
Perfect timing Angela! I’m planning to open a small business and am lost, not knowing how to go about it. Thx so much! 🥰❤️
Just a note to anyone listening….to slow down the speed of this video (so you can take notes 📝), go to the ‘gear’ in the upper right corner of your screen, touch it, then, touch ‘Playback speed’, and choose which speed works for you. Angela talks fast (no bad, but sorry ❤). I use the 0.75x….give it a try. Thanks again Angela!❤️
Hahah sorryyyyyy I always forget to slow down!
@@AngelaJasmina No problem. I was watching ‘DeLonda’ and she shared this ‘help’ with everyone. What do you think of “GoDaddy” for setting up a webpage?
Yeah, this was certainly speedy. Ha ha ha
Meanwhile… I usually listen to videos on 2x speed or more. I love it 😅
I did your suggestion before plying this video. Very helpful, thank you!
Do I already own my own embroidery business? Yes. Am I going to watch the entire video anyways? Also Yes!
Even when you already own a business you can still learn a lot from experienced people!
Thank you for watching!
Ditto! 😊
Ditto!!
I've had my business since 2011 and started embroidery back then on a Husqvarna Ruby (I still have it), but always wanted a Melco when I would go to the trade shows. I started watching you back in 2016 and watched you grow and it's great. I did buy a Melco from Todd in 2022. Had several set backs with eye surgeries, that I'm just now using it and still watching your videos. Keep it up!
I like that your fast and to the point! I can always pause or slow-it if needed (but don't) thank you!
You are probably the best teacher ive ever seen…. Thank your for taking the time to share this content….
Thanks Angela for sharing with us were you get your supplies. I am sure that we all appreciate this information.
Thank you for all the videos that you do! I've learned so much. I've had a flat bed embroidery machine for a few years but mainly used it for personal projects when I had time. I recently retired and I just purchased my first multi-needle embroidery machine. I'm so hooked.... and I'm having so much fun! My next step is to open an on-line business. The information you provide has pointed me to additional steps I need to take. I appreciate your willingness to pass on your knowledge to help others. Thank you again, I look forward to seeing your next video.
As always, thank you Angela!
I started watching you 4 years ago and it's amazing to see all your hard work pay off. I wsh I had done a little more research before upgrading my little 4x4 combo (needed to replace my sewing machine and try embroidery). I got a BL Pathfinder and I wish I had gone with even a single needle free arm over the flatbed. Still wishing to upgrade, maybe I will make it happen one of these days. ❤
Thank you, Angela. It was nice meeting you on the expo. You are such an amazing, wonderful woman, and your husband ❤ thank you for all you do 🙌🏽
Thank you so much!
The best advice!❤
Thank you. I really started embroidery for my own fun creating things and i didn't think people would like my stuff. Now I'm thinking of leveling up. Thank you again for the info
I enjoyed this video and the helpful information on starting an embroidery business. The satisfaction of owning your own business and working the hours you want makes embroidery a great business.
Thanks you are such a blessing ❤
Yes, thank you. I need this !

this is going to help me grow my operation a lot.
im about to purchase my 2nd machine and really start to take this from Part-Time income to Full Time income
I've already been successful and kind of ebb'd and flow'd with how often I've been pushing
I just refuse to go work anywhere else now that I have the embroidery dialed and can make more doing this type of work than any other employer will pay me
thanks again

Outstanding information. Thanks for your sharing generosity.
Bigger is better with embroidering!! You think I would have learned from all the heat press machines I bought. I added a SE2000 to my business in January 😢.. thinking I needed to start small it’s already for sale and now I have the Baby Lock Capella.
Great Video and Info!!
I was thinking about asking you about adult blanks. Thank for that information Ang.

You as well!
Angela, thank you so much for this video! Ive enjoyed watching you grow your business and learning along the way. One question I do have, when it comes to starting out and purchasing apparel, shirts for example, how many and what sizes should be purchased?
it’s is a lot of great info thank u Ange i love ur hair too
Thank you so much!
Oooooo that's noiiiiice a little name plate 🥰🥰
😎😎😎
So informative! Thank you so much! You’re the best 😊 also, do you mind sharing how much your machine cost?
Great video!
Thanks!
I found you online when I was just starting with a PE400 back in 2019! I have a 12 needle BAI. The field was the most important thing for me as I do church embroidery work.
I wanted to go to the Impressions Expo but couldn't get away.
Next year!
Nice & succinct
Thank you
You're welcome!
Really good though I'm not in this business. Like your sharing.
I've always wanted to start an embroidery business with a focus on home goods like towels and pillows cases with monograms and simple yet sophisticated designs. Is it hard to learn to use an embroidery machine or is it more about mastering the software? I'm sure it's both but do you think it's something you can teach yourself? BTW I found you because you made a comment on another embroidery TH-cam video from years ago when you were just thinking of starting your business and buying the first embroidery machine!! I decided to click on your name to see if you did it so I'm thrilled to see it happened! And you're kind enough to share. God love you!
Wonderful video and great information that’s to the point.
You got me seriously considering the Melco even though I’ve been considering the Tajima tmez-sc.
I can get two Melco for the price of the Tajima, so that’s a big factor. Just don’t know about not having the display panel on the Melco as to how that works when you need to back up the needle a few points.
I love using the computer! A lot easier to manage all my machines from one terminal. The laser on the machine makes back-ups easy as well. You can link up to 30 Melcos together and run them all off of one computer
Can you talk about licenses how many you need what permits to get , do you need to have an accountant and also how to make inventory and keep track of all what you have, and how are you able to fulfill every order yourself.
Hi, thanks for all the great info. I already sell gift boxes and I wanted to add embroidery baby clothes or gift towels(personalized) to my gift boxes. Embroidery seems expensive to up keep and I'm worried about my margins. I will definitely increase my prices if I do. Is embroidery products in a gift box worth it to add to my product line?
💜Thanks 🎉👍🏽👍🏽💜
if ordering just one mighty hoops, will it be wise to go 8x9 or 8x13 ? some suggested 5.5 for logos ? i see there is even 6.5 and 7.5. if i get 8x9 / 8x13 i can still do adult left chest logos right ?
I love this video. When did you start keeping track of inventory and how did you start doing that? What was the process?
Hi Angela, I have been watching all your videos I really hoping that this embroidery small business can be successful I have a baby girl and only me can take care of her my husband can't provide enough so I'm very emotional compromised with this, I'm very creative so wish me luck and advice please 😊
I don't speak English very well but this young lady speaks very fast 😅
I have now pe900 nice start , Like your threads on the machine may i have link to order ?
Thanks for this , please when do we expect the next video about machine to buy?
First I want to say you are amazing!! Would you ever thinking about teach a class?
Would a flatbed be okay for someone only looking to sell the occasional item? I've found a 200x360 mm within my budget. Everything bigger costs too much and is too big for my place
Can you explain how you stay motivated?
I have Embrillance on my 2015 Mac. Every time I try to update my program that lets me see the thumbnails and thread change instructions won’t work with the current OS update. Have you been able to get around that problem?
Hola Ángela tu digitalizas tus diseños o alguien lo hace por ti muchas gracias apenas empiezo el negocio de bordado y e aprendido mucho de tus videos gracias por enseñarnos
How do you calculate shipping on mailing an item in a poly bag
What are the best blanks to embroider on? I know you’ve mentioned it before I just don’t know in which video.
¡Hola Ángela! Saludos desde México.
I want to make a video about machines tiers, and I want to use a short clip of this video ("buy the largest area machine you can afford" is the matter) to illustrate a point (I think you're an authority because your background, so I want to emphasize with your words). Do you allow me to use that clip?
Hi Jasmine, can you talk about how someone who is starting off can get a small business loan or personal loan to be able to purchase a multi needle machine. I'm not sure where to start.
Good
