    You definitely raise a great point about how the suddenness of the mountains rising up from the plains without any foothills in between makes for a very dramatic contrast. Grand Teton is quite a gorgeous park for sure!

    Hello from FL. This video was awesome and very informative. I'm an amateur photographer and I capture some great nature shots just using my cell phone. In the future I want to buy professional camera equipment using the recommendations as a guide.
    We are visiting Jackson WY next week. Staying for 5 days. We will drive 191 and I hope we can get some great shots at the locations you outlined. Will there still be some fall foliage? Hopefully. I do see some snow on the ground and mountains. It should be beautiful for pics. I definitely want to visit those old barns. Thanks for sharing!

    • @DonMammoserPhoto
      @DonMammoserPhoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jay, I answered your other comment too. And for this park I think the best lens (if only bringing 1) to have would be a 28-200mm or something like that. If you could get and bring a 3 lens kit, I'd recommend a wide 17-40mm, the 28-200mm and a wildlife 150-500mm.

    Hi Don, we are going in mid-August. Will we still see the waterfall and snow on the peaks? Which month was this video recorded?

    • @DonMammoserPhoto
      @DonMammoserPhoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, mid-August is pretty late for any snow to remain on the peaks. While not impossible it won't be much. The waterfall will be much smaller than it could be and there won't be many remaining flowers. Most of the videos in our presentation were made in June or July. Still, those mountains are really gorgeous no matter what...just get out there early in the mornings.
