Thank you for this detailed video! This is by far one of the more helpful videos I've found while searching for Teton/Yellowstone guides. We will be doing a road trip from Oregon to Colorado in October and visiting 4 National Parks on our route. Yellowstone, Tetons, Rocky Mountains, and Arches! Definitely appreciate your channel!
I am so happy I found your channel! It’s so informative and practical. I’ve started binge watching! All the map and orientation is super helpful! Thank you so much!
THANKS! This video really helped me plan my family trip on the fly. we planned to spend 1 day in the Grand Tetons but because of yellowstone northern loop being closed, we spent a second day. We went to several of the places mentioned in the video. One thing which was mentioned in passing in the video which I personally enjoyed was the gondola/ski lift at Teton Village up to the restaurant. We ate at the outdoor restaurant and their burger, fries, and ice cream was fantastic with an amazing view from the top of the mountain.
Our pleasure! We have whole playlists dedicated to Yellowstone and Grand Teton, including very comprehensive trip planner videos. Well I was just gonna focus on a Yellowstone/Glacier Nat'l Park trip but your video on The Grand Tetons has made me contemplate spending a day or 2 there. Those day hikes looked fantastic.
Jackson is definitely a multi million dollar price town….We always stay at Spring Creek Ranch and eat at the Granary….We got married there…When eat at the Granary the scenery is so beautiful…You see the view of the valley; a huge ranch below and the Tetons are so amazing with windows that go from floor to ceiling. Well worth seeing too.
I enjoy your channel I am a new subscriber never been but planning a trip in the spring. I have watched a lot I mean a lot of you tubers channels. Yours is the best with great information in my opinion.
Leaving 9-18-21 for a week in Tetons and a week in Yellowstone. Great info in your videos. FYI - Bar J Wranglers website says 2021 is their final year of operation.
Hahaha, yes. It would be my ultimate goal down the road. For now, we will basically try to do it virtually. Also, our next video will be about what to take/pack for a Yellowstone trip as you requested. :)
Thank you for the detailed video. You guys are awesome! We are planning to visit the park next year in summer but not sure if we need to rent a 4WD/AWD coz if there are dirt roads to drive then we cant rent the regular 2WD cars..I was wondering if you can provide some info or make a video on that, then it would be super helpful for people like us
Good idea. There are very few dirt roads that aren’t graded. We always like the idea of an suv just in case but if you have a car it shouldn’t be an issue.
The lower lakes are generally not a problem because they have high traffic and grizzlies generally avoid high traffic areas. We didn’t use bear spray but it’s not a bad idea. You can buy some at the visitor center or from just about any store nearby. If you’re going backcountry at all, bear spray is a must
Thank you very much for the being so attentive and for the quick replies, I just discovered your channel very recently and immediately subscribed as well, very informative and useful tips, I am going for a 4 night stay inside Yellowstone (but I got in four different lodges for each night) and two nights Grant Teton (at Colter Bay Lodge), having challenges in planning the itinery as I have to check in and check out every day

Awesome! We will also cover arches but probably not before October. :( thank you for your comments.
Also make sure to check out the Colorado National Monument on your way from Arches to Rocky Mountain!!
Should visit Canyonlands since it’s right by Arches.
I appreciate you including the map. Thank you!!

Have a fantastic trip! We are sad this is the last season for the Bar J Wranglers. They are so much fun.
Great video! Thank you so much! I love your channel! It is so helpful. Is the Signal Mountain Drive a two way road?
Yes, it is!
@@WereintheRockies Thanks!
Once again a great video! Have you all considered starting a tour business?
Hahaha, yes. It would be my ultimate goal down the road. For now, we will basically try to do it virtually. Also, our next video will be about what to take/pack for a Yellowstone trip as you requested. :)
@@WereintheRockies do you recommend taking cash into the park or are we ok with card?
@@mckjw002 We never had to use the cash we brought. You should be fine without.

Would you say we could take our 25 foot RV on the road to see Schwabacher Landing? We are not pulling a vehicle. Love your detailed videos you post.
Thank you! Hmmm, good question. I think you can. But....I wasn’t driving an RV so I don’t exactly remember how bad the road is. Lol.
@@WereintheRockies Lol...thanks anyway
More posing please. More males as well. Funny I actually reached out to the guy you did last time and learned he respected towards other things.
Does the boat leave every hour?thank you for the wonderful info
The boat leaves every 5-10 minutes. There are two boats going at one time.
Where can I get a map mailed to me? Thanks for sharing your videos!
You can print maps here: www.nps.gov/carto/app/#!/maps/alphacode/GRTE
Thank you for the nice video, will there be any wild life threat while hiking to these lakes ?

This rocked
Thanks!!
Is the tram still free after 5 PM?
Last year it was. It’s always possible it can change so check with them before you go if you want.
Looks like Bar J is closed??😢
Sadly yes 😥
I see Bar J closed in 2021. Bummer!
Yes, big bummer.
