    Excellent video. Hugely informative. The best we have come across and we have been there 5 times already. Your ranger training really comes through. Many thanks for sharing.

    You have no idea how much I appreciate your work. I bought your Glacier National Park itinerary last summer and my younger sisters had so much fun and good time. Reading and watching your work help me a lot with planning trips to national Parks. Thank you so much.❤

    6:10 P.M. my sis and I had to cancel trip to Yellowstone this past Tuesday BUT you certainly lessened the disappointment by watching your video and gaining soooo much more info and catching your excitement and energy about the park and all the splendor it has to offer. We’re going to go next Fall, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, and just hope I still can get your video then…I can’t emphasize enough the excitement you give off is so heartwarming. What can I do to help support your channel. Txs again. geo

    Most informative video.
    Heading to Jackson mid October,hoping for minimal snow but before the wildlife disappears,primary goal is wildlife coupled with landscapes.Looking so forward to my trip.
    Thanks for your advice,be safe.

    Awesome information, you're super inspiring. Heading to Grand Tetons middle of October then Black Canyon of the Gunnison first week of November. Do you think roads and parks should be open during these dates, even if there's some weather during these times?
    Thanks!

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  ปีที่แล้ว

      They try to keep the roads open that long, but if a storm blows through they will often close temporarily. It's just really hard to know!

    • @JeffScott-so7gu
      @JeffScott-so7gu ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Would you say roads just as uncertain at southern rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison up from Ouray next few weeks? I know you're not a fortune teller :) Thanks! @@DirtInMyShoes

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JeffScott-so7gu yeah, it will just depend on the weather, but it's a beautiful time to be there if the roads are open for you!

      Try Gros Ventre...that one usually still has some availability. But there are some good boondocking options just outside of the park as well.

      You'll find a bunch of good ones. I really like the Shadow Mountain area, but you can find more on a website like campendium.com

    I definitely thought String Lake would be the perfect place to learn SUP. They should have them for rent there!

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is perfect for SUPing! But it's not a very big lake, so if they rented them out there, I think it would be way too overcrowded!

    is it less crowded in the parking area in Jenny lake if we go in the afternoon in July?

    Are there any road closures in the park in April?

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the inner park road doesn't usually open until the beginning of May. You'll find an entire article about this on dirtinmyshoes.com!

    We have a large motorhome would Colter Bay RV CG be a better home base than Gros Ventre, to see the many places you mentioned with our car?

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are great for large RVs....it doesn't matter either way!
