    Thanks for great tips. Our last Yellowstone & Tetons trip in 2014 weeks did mst of what you mentioned, ESPECIALLY taking pics of signs where you are and take the photo when you see it.

      I don't know how many pictures I've missed over the years because I decided I'd come back later and I never get back, or the weather changes, or something else happens. I do it to myself every time LOL. So as simple as it is, that's always been one of my favorite tips.

    Great tips and useful information Jeff. Looks like you have a great time. Once my leg is healed up, we plan to start doing a LOT of travel.

      Thanks! It was awesome - we hit Estes Park, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Cody WY, Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore and Badlands National Park in just over 2 weeks, so it was a real trek.
      I put a video of Estes Park and the Stanley Hotel on my Family Travel Photos channel - you can see some shots of the Stanley there if you're interested.
      Hope you heal up and travel soon - after 2020, doing a 4000 mile drive for a vacation was liberating!

      Trying to, for sure. After our trip to Italy last year was completely wiped out due to Covid, we knew we were going to do a nice domestic trip this year. Yellowstone was on my wife's bucket list, so we started planning a trip to Yellowstone, and it became a 4000 trek to Estes Park, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Cody Wyoming, Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore and Badlands National Park. Awesome trip but I'm still tired.

      Hi Geri - I'm glad the video was helpful! I have done some vlog / tutorials for visiting Grand Tetons and Yellowstone on my sister channel, Family Travel Photos. There is a lot more information about our trip there - check it out at th-cam.com/channels/t9rOVwvkGYDu0fCZvJ5ZJQ.htmlvideos
      I hope you get to enjoy as much of Yellowstone as possible!

    While we were at Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons National Park, my wife Monique and I kept a list of travel photography tips that we felt gave us the best landscape photography and videos.
    Some of these travel photography / videography tips apply to everyone, including people who just shoot snapshots with their cell phones. Other landscape tips are for more advanced photographers with more advanced knowledge and equipment. So, regardless what type of travel photographer or videographer you are, this tutorial is for you.
    Drone operators - you can’t fly a drone in a national park. But you’ll find great places to fly outside the parks, and many of the tips I discuss in this episode apply to you as well.

      Jeff how you doing Keith Kuhn here with the Typhoon H
      Some of your pictures in the beginning of this video look like a Bob Ross painting quite lovely.
      I'm sure you must have heard of Bob Ross haven't you ?

      @@KTHKUHNKK Hi Keith - I'm doing well! Still recovering from the Yellowstone trip . . . we walked over 60 miles on that trip, and I'm just not built for that anymore LOL.
      I'd love for my pix to look like Bob Ross paintings! Bob Ross is awesome! I'm not getting my hair curled up like his tho LOL! Remember Willard Alexander, the other painter on PBS? Him and his mighty fanbrush . . . I actually met Alexander at a book signing in New Jersey back in the 80s . . .

    Great tips Jeff. Shots and videos are fantastic. I see all had a good time on vacation. Just came back from visiting relatives in Naples Florida. Had issues with my Evo so only managed to get 1 video and that was just where I was staying. Oh well! Sh*t happens. My Evo was packed in that small black case that Autel gives, and somehow on the trip home to NY the drone turned on. Didn't know until I unpacked. Was hot as hell. Gimbal cover came off. I don't think it was on that long or TSA would of caught it for sure.
    Oh Boy! Can I say lucky me? Could of been loading the car and the trunk closed on the case forcing the battery to turn on. Dumb and careless on my part. Will do a gimbal cal and hope all works.

      Thanks, Chas! When I went to Big Bend Nat'l Park last year, my Evo went batty on me as well. In my case, the battery went bad in mid flight. So maybe your battery failed rather than got turned on?

  • @shsechas
    @shsechas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Jeff - Just to pass along that Best Buy now sells the Evo1 battery for $24.99 from $99.99. Stay well my friend.

  • @shsechas
    @shsechas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry the Evo1 battery is now 49.99. I apologize as I didn't know that lower price was good thur 8/14/21

      @@JeffSibelius I just noticed that the Evo1 does not make that OA beeping sound anymore nor does it show the OA parameters on the controller screen. Thought it was my drone until my friend came over and his doesn't make that beeping sound for obstacle avoidance anymore. Also each time we power up the remote and evo. We have to go into settings and auto trun on all in visual navigation settings. So when started up the OA and GPS are off until we turn them on. Before that it always stayed on. Next time you happen to use your Evo. Would appreciate if the same is now happening to you. Thanks Jeff. Also hope you got it for the 24.99 and not the 49.99 price. thanks for all you do Jeff.

      @@shsechas hey chas, did you check the volume on your smart device? Evo uses the phone for sounds, so muting the phone will block oa sounds.

    • @shsechas
      @shsechas 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JeffSibelius Yes they are on full volume. It's not just my drone. My friends Evo also has no OA beeping or OA Radar on the screen. We both haven't done any updates but now when we turn on our evo's and controller. The visual nav settings are all turned off (OA and GPS) Used to keep the same settings unless changed. Just was wondering if will happen next time you fly your evo. Sorry to be a pain, but no one talks about the Evo1 anymore. Thank you for your support.

      @@shsechas I'm going to try and get out to fly this weekend. I'll test mine out to see if mine behaves as yours is.
