    This is one I've wanted to do for a very long time and I'm really happy to finally have it done so I can share this with you guys! Apologies for the sick voice; I finally caught Covid last week and I'm still recovering, but feeling better every day. Who do you want to see next on How To Sound Like?

      Great videos! Have you done dUg Pinnick from King's X? If not, that would be really cool.

    Not only did you rewatch your mobile phone concert footage, you even used it to make something positive (this video). Congratulations Bass Jesus, you're one in a million, or maybe even rarer! :D

    The default bass autowah is actually kind of disappointing. I agree the Ztron is probably the coolest sounding.
    I think I use the Smallstone as a phaser, sounds decent on bass.
    Also, the Monopitch is closer to the Digitech Whammy in terms of how it works. It's also possible to Sideload the Polyshift from the G11 if you want a higher quality polyphonic pitchshifter, look up muntwell's zt2 guide. I actually have a G1xFour loaded with Bass stuff.

    Love this! Just got a zoom and I see you going from it into the Scarlett in mono, is it ever worth coming out of the zoom on stereo? I can't tell if I should upgrade my audio interface for just this reason.

    • @ampthebassplayer
      @ampthebassplayer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion, most stereo options are pure vanity. There’s something to be said for signal splitting (layering a dry and wet signal together for example) but stereo is rarely worth the hassle, even for guitar. I’m sure the interface you already have will be just fine.

    • @ampthebassplayer
      @ampthebassplayer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m not sure I understand what you mean by unite. You can make patches that have up to 5 effects and have them all on at the same time. Does that answer your question?

  • @coleemmersonhallman5329
    @coleemmersonhallman5329 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    you totally had it, but then you lost me at the whammy! it sounded too robot to my ears, maybe a different mix level or position in the chain? just my thoughts :)

    • @ampthebassplayer
      @ampthebassplayer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I tested the pitch shifter at every position and this is as good as it gets! You also have to remember that this is $100 pedal competing against tens of thousands of dollars of gear, so even getting close is pretty acceptable IMO.

    I would love to hear more of that Yamaha with the flatwounds on it! That sounds incredible even without any effects or amp/cab simulation.
    Did you go through the bridge or through the body with those strings?
    Also, hope you're feeling better.

    • @ampthebassplayer
      @ampthebassplayer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have really good news for you: I have a video 90% done with more of the Yamaha. I string through the body, but I’m not sure how much it matters.
      And thanks! I’m feeling back to 100%!
