Diesel 8x8 and vtwin golf cart. Less frame modification and will look so clean with a factory appearance! Man I’d love to buy the golf cart off ya when it’s done! I need something for the beach down here in Texas!
I work on golf carts to for a living it's awesome. We have the Kubota engine in are 4x4 utility carts. Its a great engine. I want to put one in my jet ski.
I was one of the first ruff and tuff dealers many years ago. The company last I checked was still in business just not selling carts, only accessories. The guy that took over the distributorship died in a vehicle accident. If the guy Doug is the one I know he's a good dude.
Your plan with that golf cart is my dream to do with my yamaha G2. Theres a guy that posted a video of basically my golf cart with that 3cyl kubota with a VW turbo. I cant wait to see how it comes out!
RB, you need to bead blast that frame and powder coat it on that gold cart! That ZTR mower should be turned into a miniature Tank and given to the kids. You can use the ZTR transmission and then make treads and use some inexpensive paneling to make a WW2 or modern look alike tank. Put an Airsoft canon in it!!!!
Think it was a year ago I asked if you'd do a golf cart and now time!!!! Cant wait!! Make it a long series if at all possible. This is going to be the best build yet!
A good turbo for that Kubota would probably be a BW KO3 from a VW 1.8T gas engine. The KO3 on the TDI is mounted permanently to the flange. The 1.8 KO3 can be swapped on and off easily. KO4 is the upgraded turbo.
Gonna be hard to roll coal even with a turbo kubota. Maybe with bigger injectors. Other than that it puffs a small cloud on the start up or when you max rev it. I worked on them for golf course maintenance. Very good motors
This is sweet. Look forward on following this build. Definitely the diesel in the golf cart. In the process of making a 4x4 mini Monster Truck for my son.
I think in would be best since it's so tall to build a tube buggy body for it that way it would sit lower and have a roll cage and you know look cooler it would be like a mini rock bouncer
Im goin with the turbo diesel in the golf kart big time, that would be sooo cool, especially if you widen it, only problem is youd have to figure out how to make it work and go a decent speed, maybe an dirtbike bottom end to use as a transmission? So you could have a lower gear for the mud and still be able to go a decent speed when you shift the gears.
Put the diesel in the Argo!!! it could use the torque of the diesel. You can set up some neat gear reduction on the golf cart w/jack shafts. You should do a 420 Preditor on it
I am friggin pumped to see this here build! And a tiny lil diesel? Thats wicked. Only small engine diesel i ever drove was them Gators the the army uses around their motorpools. John deere i think. They got six wheels and move across the motorpool with a quickness!
I have a friend with an Argo. You'll need something that has higher RPMs than the diesel, because of it's gearing. You could stretch the golf cart to a 4 seater and diesel it easier, than getting the Argo redesigned.Awesome looking cart.
Save the diesel for the Argo for more serious muddin' purposes and, build something else for the Golf Kart. (ATV Engine?) I like the idea of making a new tubular roll cage for the golf kart; make it look more like a dune buggy...keep the rest of it as-is (chassis, axles, wheels/tires, etc.) and, only make modifications required to install the new engine/trans set-up.
I am stoked to see this cart and hear you're getting the Argo. All of a sudden you have some awesome projects that are right up my alley. I've built a couple custom golf carts and I also admin an amphibious ATV group on facepalm.
If youd like to check us out and maybe get some feedback from the amphibious vehicle community, hit me up here in the comments and I'll drop a link for you all
I would put the diesel on the argo. As a fabricator who does the same kinda stuff ive seen a 670 in a six wheeled argo but Ive never seen a diesel swap in the 8 wheel argo. Then you can put a full cab on it with a stereo and heat and all kinds of fun stuff. Like a winch.
Diesel on the golf cart all the way. Make a rock crawler out of it by widening and lifting it with long travel wider suspension. Try to find out what ATV he used for parts and they should make long travel kits to do it. If not I'm sure you can find something even if you have to put new mounts for the a-arms. They all have ball joint uppers and you can fab the bottom connection to the spindle if you have to. Make it real nice those argo's are kinda boring. You don't want to make it too fast cuz they throw you around turning them. I really don't see you guys having to much fun with them. They're not really good in water either cuz unless you get really big tread tires like the ones you showed as a option for the cart they barely move through water and even with those tires it's still gonna go slow. They're neat but you'll find out if there's anything you like about it. Looking forward to the build of ther golf cart! It'll be cool to see something different you can't buy and have bolted on!
I belt a 4x4 club car. The kit we ordered a kit the frt diff would free spin intill u activated with a switch. All the up graded suspension was Polaris.
I've seen the Kubota in a Club Car, radiator is mounted in the back of the cart. Having said that, I vote for diesel in the Ruff and Tuff. Depends on alignment of the driveshaft with the output of the Kubota or whatever CV clutch system you are intending on using.
Yep I worked on a few of those ...the computer/controller is very expensive on those but there ok I guess. I love watching yalls videos...keep up the good work , Shayne from 501
I rebuild Walker Mowers, I would normally steer clear of the Kubota D600, they can have head & heating issues. I have had a better run with the D722 model. Do take into consideration the lack of engine cooling air flow in Argo's. All the best.
I love how you think RBG depends on the power out put of the engine it might be more suited for the eight wheeler but would make good video if the 4 wheeler, wheelies .
that thing has a beast size electric motor on it i would keep it and make it work! it will make way more power then anything you will put into it! they have a shit ton of torque down low and you will be able to crawl at very low speeds
Yeah I’m torn also...... a permanent magnet motor like that is super powerful, instant torque at low speed.... I’ll bet the motor is fine, controller probably burnt.....
Golfcarts are stable at the speeds and terrain they were designed for. That rearend design looks like it is going to be a pain to engineer around for sure. The Argo is a better platform for the diesel engine , in my opinion.
Awesome. Love your work. Honestly lately you have been doing repetitive things and this is definitely something different and it will make an amazing project
It's gonna be hard on the motor for the 8 wheel if its on gas all those wheels moving ur gonna need torque and the Kubota will be deliver that torque to even spin tires on 1 spot. The golf cart on the other hand should be fun with a 670 but loud and obnoxious...
Cute little diesel on the sweet as golf cart as is, should have good low down torque. With a home made snorkel for serious offroading. Great score. Should be a fun build :-)
Don't cut the body. The back wheel wells look like you can fit moving the axle back a good 6" without even cutting out the wheel well at all. Maybe you can flip that differential over so you can keep the engine low too. Put a snorkel and raised exhaust so you can run it through deep water. I would not mess with the suspension as you would need to change all the control arms and axles . Maybe put some wider tires on it with a better offset on the rim or some wheel spacers, but I would not go crazy. It is a pretty slick setup as-is.
The Argo would be a better use of the engine, but if you use it on the cart use an automotive alternator so you can turn it into one of the party carts like you see at mud bogs..
Ooo, ooo! Kubota diesel, Kubota diesel! Yeah! Do it, do it! That little motor has some real low end torque. Don't put the smallest turbo you can find though. It should be, like 45mm to 50mm I.D. to add some whistlin' spooling power! Yeah!
Diesel the golf cart all the way! I think it would be more practical for the off rd mudder/crawler look your going for especially with all the lower end torque those little kubota diesel motors have!
My personal opinion is the diesel needs to go into the eight wheel Argo and the twin cylinder needs to go in the golf cart I think it would be too much to try to cut the body on the golf cart to add the 8 to add the diesel motor from the eight wheel drive Argo
Don’t think that’s Polaris suspension. You’re right that a lot of golf carts used them like bad boy buggies but yours looks like something different because the front doesn’t have McPherson struts. Also google some different golf cart electric to gas conversions that will keep the electric motor in place, but gut the inside copper wiring and cut a hole in the side for a chain to run in, weld a sprocket onto the gutted electric motor input shaft. Supposed to have pretty beffy bearings and already bolts to your transfer case
Diesel on the golf cart. Also all there really is to the wiring on that kubota to make it run Is a fuel shutoff solenoid and you average starter wiring. Alternator has an always hot and a switched 12v power.
Be careful with that diesel, those Kubota's like to overheat if they don't get airflow into the radiator. Also find a good transmission for it, the ones out of a RTV are slow and have less power than you think unless they are pretty new
Diesel 8x8 and vtwin golf cart.
Looks sweet. The diesel is awesome too. Def. Wanna see this thing in the mud.
More of this golf cart please!
This thing deserves at least a 670 gas, or some kind of beastly diesel. What a cool rig to start with!!! I'll be watching this!
The back half of the body has the looks of a 30 Ford roadster. The diesel in the 8 wheeler! 😎
Diesel on the EZ Go!
For sure!!
I was one of the first ruff and tuff dealers many years ago. The company last I checked was still in business just not selling carts, only accessories. The guy that took over the distributorship died in a vehicle accident. If the guy Doug is the one I know he's a good dude.

James McDonald what’s the channel?
@@DirtyOperations cody stapleton i just realized he used a yanmar diesel but theres not much difference at all between the two same idea.
Oh yeah I’ve seen that.. awesome build

Love the idea of the build. Can you do a video on all the projects like a back yard tour. I’d love to see all your previous builds and future plans.
A good turbo for that Kubota would probably be a BW KO3 from a VW 1.8T gas engine. The KO3 on the TDI is mounted permanently to the flange. The 1.8 KO3 can be swapped on and off easily. KO4 is the upgraded turbo.
Make the golf cart a turbo Diesel 4x4 that would be a sick mud Machine
Gonna be hard to roll coal even with a turbo kubota. Maybe with bigger injectors. Other than that it puffs a small cloud on the start up or when you max rev it. I worked on them for golf course maintenance. Very good motors
This is awesome, I think the engine would be cool on either. This is the first awd golf cart I have seen!
This is sweet. Look forward on following this build. Definitely the diesel in the golf cart. In the process of making a 4x4 mini Monster Truck for my son.
you should look into putting speakers on the gulf cart or do speakers on a future build and you should put under glow lights on the gulf cart
I think in would be best since it's so tall to build a tube buggy body for it that way it would sit lower and have a roll cage and you know look cooler it would be like a mini rock bouncer
Man you guys are doing tons of cool projects lately. I cant wait for this and the supercharged 670 projects to be done
With it set up with electric motors mounted straight to the diffs I would mount hydrolic drives on the diffs and put a hydraulic pump on a tillison.
I’ve never been a big fan of those amphibious 6x6’s so my vote is for the golf cart!

You could make the golf cart a minibike/gokart rescue vehicle. But you guys never break down out on the trail.😜
Can't wait to see this thing done!
Can’t wait to see how it turns out!!! I’m excited like I just brought it🤗

Roll Koal with the Kart!!
I know I'm excited to see this build
Your ideas for this build is awesome lengthen and then widening it would make it look cool and be a lot more stable love your Channel and God bless

Don't forget flotation on the Argo, heavier it get the lower it'll sit
Yep I worked on a few of those ...the computer/controller is very expensive on those but there ok I guess. I love watching yalls videos...keep up the good work , Shayne from 501
Exciting new project!
Plus i cant wait for the finished product of the 4 wheeled golf cart! hell if i lived in Tennesee i would Love to help you on the build.
I think the 8 wheel Argo would benefit more from the torque. Golf cart would be cool with like a 670, kinda like a big block mud truck
I love when you do golf cart builds!! Can’t wait for more videos on it!
Three years and nothing done. I guess you are one of those guys!!
I rebuild Walker Mowers, I would normally steer clear of the Kubota D600, they can have head & heating issues. I have had a better run with the D722 model.
Do take into consideration the lack of engine cooling air flow in Argo's.
All the best.
Man cant wait to see this running!
The best .put on golf cart cant wait to see it
Looks like it could be sweet but have to see the 8 wheeler first love the 3banger hell would look cool in anything
I love how you think RBG depends on the power out put of the engine it might be more suited for the eight wheeler but would make good video if the 4 wheeler, wheelies .

Diesel on the argo!!! Put a 670 on the golf cart with 50 hp kit!!! That would be awesome!
Golfcarts are stable at the speeds and terrain they were designed for. That rearend design looks like it is going to be a pain to engineer around for sure. The Argo is a better platform for the diesel engine , in my opinion.
put it in the cart tires to or go to farm supple and get some V treads for it that would be cool
Looking forward to the build
Diesel in the Argo for max torque!
V twin gas in the golf cart 4x4 for torque and speed!
Diesel in the golf cart for sure!
The 8 wheeler will need the toque of the Diesel. Put one of the High Powered V-Twin on your Golf-Cart.
Those things are really cool but get very expensive to work on when they break! best of luck.
That 250 2 stroke off the Honda Odyssey would be cool or any strong motor with gears 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Awesome. Love your work. Honestly lately you have been doing repetitive things and this is definitely something different and it will make an amazing project
This is going to be awesome to watch
A turbo Diesel in this would be really cool u gotta do that I can see it rolling cole rightnow
That thing is way cool bud looks like it’ll be fun 🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻
Build it to haul stuff like your other projects while at meet & greats. It would make an awesome hunting vehicle too!
Goff Curt yes
Be sick with the diesel on it!
The diesel on the 8 wheel would be really cool
It's gonna be hard on the motor for the 8 wheel if its on gas all those wheels moving ur gonna need torque and the Kubota will be deliver that torque to even spin tires on 1 spot. The golf cart on the other hand should be fun with a 670 but loud and obnoxious...
That arrow switch is an Ejector seat!
Golf cart alll the way!!!!! Diesel that mother!
Cute little diesel on the sweet as golf cart as is, should have good low down torque. With a home made snorkel for serious offroading. Great score. Should be a fun build :-)
This would be a badass build 100%
Diesel on the golf cart because it would be cool and you already have what you want to do in your head.
Love the golf cart projects
Dang son... this is gonna be good.
That thing is amazing wish it was mine.

After seeing the Argo I think the golf cart really deserves the Kubota diesel. It has a lot more potential.
Really want to see that diesel in in the four wheel drive golf
Ooo, ooo! Kubota diesel, Kubota diesel! Yeah! Do it, do it! That little motor has some real low end torque. Don't put the smallest turbo you can find though. It should be, like 45mm to 50mm I.D. to add some whistlin' spooling power! Yeah!

I worked at a junk yard that was a dealer for Argos fully built 8 wheel Argos are 30+ grand !
My personal opinion is the diesel needs to go into the eight wheel Argo and the twin cylinder needs to go in the golf cart I think it would be too much to try to cut the body on the golf cart to add the 8 to add the diesel motor from the eight wheel drive Argo
Golf cart for sure
I had a 3 cylinder jd with that same motor and that thing hauled everything strong motor
Going be a awesome build

On the golf cart SEMA cart 👌
Nice brother treats pretty cool!! I think i would go with gas on that and the diesel on the Argo
sleeper10s yea
Either turbo diesel or a boosted 670 for the golf jart
Snowmobile engine!
Got a nice M14 that would work great on that
Diesel in the 4wd golf cart and make it a rock crawler!
Big vtwin with stack exhaust 😁
A yz450 motor on the golf cart & diesel on the 8 wheel
