Obviously not an issue anymore, but that primary clutch bolt might likely be found on just about any snowmobile, ever made. Might be easier to source it... in the desert 🤣🤣

I had a Yanmar APU on my OTR Kenworth, 2 cylinder, had 26,000 hrs on it, still ran like a top... When Sold. Serviced every 500 hrs. sweet Cart

Those yanmar’s are indestructible. If you see a reefer truck it probably has one running the cooling unit. We had deere f1145’s at my old work. They would always run. Had one get sooooo hot, the crank case vapors caught fire! It melted the vent on the valve cover , deformed the fuel filter housing. It melted damned near every seal out of the engine. The thing still ran like a champ! If you give one of those engines fuel, and spin it, it will run.
That cart would make you really popular on the golf course, as you pass and blow smoke on everyone. Bet none of the oher carts could even start to keep up. 😊

awsome build! you have me wanting to start building mine I have all the parts just need the time lol yamaha g2, 1105d kubota 3 cylinder, and to complicate it even more I have a polaris sportsman 500 4x4 chassis that I want to incorporate into it! 4 wheel independent suspension 4 wheel drive even will have high and low range kubota diesel powered golfcart what's not to love!

Love what you do Merlin and then CRANK THE MUSIC and then Merlin comes back whispering so you turn it up and you CRANK THE TUNES for 10 seconds ... then sets the mic on the muffler and blows my speakers🤣... it is possible to have one even level brother 😎

That is awesome ! I have no use for a golf cart. But I do have a 3cyl kubota diesel out of a mower sitting around needing to go in something. Hmmm
If you lift it and add bigger tires, it’ll run a bit tamer at low speeds and pick up a bunch at top end. I’ll be looking for a lil yanmar soon, I blew up a 625 gasser in my cart already, got a fresh one to install once things get a little less hectic round here. 👍🏻

Nice conversion, about as good as it needs to be safely, but can't help thinking an engine with a few more RPM'S would be a lot more "fun".

What’s the exact model of the engine you used
how is the steering when you get the speed that fast ok ?? would the cart hold up to a turbo ? working on building a 6 wheeler .. back half a old john deere gator was a 5 wheeler took front half of a atv frame ,, it will drive with a snowmobile engine tranny is just forward and reverse don't think it's built for speed going to make a dump box for the back of it ,,then build a cab .wan't to plow snow in the winter it gets below 0 deg f ,, too cold for me . hope for more videos of what your doing ,,
Top speed leaves a bit to be desired but it looks like it gets there real fast.

I have an 88’ Suzuki Carry that needs the engine rebuilt and was thinking about doing a small Diesel engine like that I just can’t find them for a reasonable price
