Also a correction is yes you can get XP from dead enemies because you are the one who decides when they are dead like you can keep up a juggle combo with like 4 enemies at once and just farm it for as long as you want

Castle Crashers has always been my favorite game ever since my older brother's cool friend showed it to us. The main reason we got an Xbox 360 was for Castle Crashers. There's just so many cool moments, from the levels' art with enemies stomping on corpses or doing laundry when you walk on screen, to funny poopy deer in the background, and all the secrets. There are so many mechanics you can randomly find, like the boomerang obliterating breakable walls, being able to shield most things -- even the giant troll boss' eye laser on the carriage level(which has a sick animation of the laser dispersing on your shield), infinitely stomping enemies and small bosses like the Groom and Necromancer. Since a friend introduced it to me, I knew the game decently well when I got it. Everyone thought magic was the best upgrade, and the red knight's was best for pvp and normal enemies with its stun. As shown in the video, buzzsaw magic is absolutely busted for bosses. But growing up... is realizing that strength is the best upgrade thanks to juggling. (Just look at speedruns.) I would play the game with every friend that came to sleep over at my house, spreading the game to my whole friend group. The game felt personal because of that, a niche game, except it turns out from wearing castle crashers merch that a lot of people do recognize the game! This summer, before we all went to college, I got the boys together to play INSANE MODE and got all the way to industrial castle, which you can do right after the bear levels since you already have sandwiches in insane mode. It's easily one of the hardest levels because the enemies use multiple magic attacks, some of which are unlockable, AND they throw bombs which hit you in air and end your juggle. On top of that it's one of the longest levels and our characters weren't particularly high levels. Insane mode kinda got less fun with the tediously healthy enemies. I do hope to beat insane mode one day. The other hardest levels that are intimidating to even think about are the necromancer fight because that's already the hardest fight, as well as Full Moon since all the enemies are heavy, but with some magic and agility upgrades shouldn't be too bad. Castle Crashers is so influencial for me, it's probably why I like fantasy so much, from D&D to Black Clover and such, it all comes from the Castle Crashers addiction. The Behemoth have been adamant that they aren't interested in making a Castle Crashers sequel, maybe because of the pressure from how beloved the game is, but we gotta believe one day it'll come. btw for anyone that Finished Battleblock Theater and didnt finish Pit People, watch the "It all makes sence now" final cutscene its crazy for the BBT ending/spacebear lore. Sorry this was so long I'm a fiend for Castle Crashers.
if you dont mind me being technical, the reason the sawblades work so well on bosses over other multi-hits (i.e reds tazer, oranges fire plume, snakeys roots) is that its acually a true multi-hit, unlike those other attack which are tick based. bosses normally have a resistance to tick based attacks specifically so things like reds lightning dont melt them, but the saw magic just fires off a bunch of hits, so no matter the target they always do max damage.
You know one reason I love this video is it all real if that makes sense like it is a group of friends just hanging out with one another playing a game and I like how real your being by even saying that if you came for castle crashes then don’t sub which is a crazy thing to say for a small TH-camr. The quality also is amazing and I loved the commentary, you definitely are getting a sub.

I love Behemoth games! They usually make a new game every 5 years. They got an alien invasion remaster in the works. So hopefully a new game genre or castle crashers gets remastered next!

This game truely doesn’t get old at all, I still play it a lot till this day with my friends, but a long time ago I would play it so much with my dad. I loved the game so much that I’m making a tiny project about it :p Overall I respect how you and your friends played the game, it’s accurate to me and my friends when we were younger ✨

Funnest I had playing this game was playing with my friend goose. We had just beat the game and we were on the last princess, But we both knew what would happen, so we didn’t fight each other. But goose had found a way to hurt themselves by getting hit by npc arrows and lost. So in the last few minutes, it was just us fighting over who could kill themselves first
