- In todays video, i will tackle the behemoth task of trying to make sense of The Behemoth timeline. Remember, this is all just a theory and if you disagree, that's completely fine!

Bro, Behemoth might need a sequel to Castle Crashers where the Hat is the final boss.
You forgot to mention the part where in Battleblock Theater, Honeyhug made a theory of how Furbottom (can't spell name) got his hat and he said that he got it in a cave where the giant crystal was under the hat and the crystal looked red. Just wanted to mention that.

I think it makes sense that Castle Crashers comes directly after Pit People. This would line up with the fact that "pipistrello cave" is a location in Castle Crashers which is very similar to Pipistrella from Pit People, also the gorgon makes an appearence but she seems to be the last of her species. This would also mark the first appearance of the aliens which would line up with the next game in the timeline Alien Hominid. I think Castle Crashers makes a good bridge between the middle ages and the modern era.
But then you don't have the explanation of the crystal and then the cool theory of the crystal being a part of the hat and the wizard taking over hatty's body.
There really isn't any proof or evidence that the hat has the crystal though. His whole theory is just coming from, "both are red therefore it's the same"@@whiteflame7771

I do really like how you point out where others might disagree with your proposed cannon, and explain why you treat certain features as cannon and others as not cannon.
I'm just finding this channel after enjoying many hours in Castle Crashers around 5ish years after its release, and not really engaging with it since ~2015. I don't have much other deep game knowledge to go off of, so this is extremely informative and honest and allows room for me to form my own thoughts on this theory and the Behemoth cannon, while strongly supporting your cannon.
Helps a lot with expressing what is meaningfully assumed with what is known.

Behemoth used to be called Synj Industries and made a lot of flash games for Newgrounds, the most well known ones being Dad n Me and the Alien Hominid demo
They switched to being known as The Behemoth when putting out Alien Hominid's full game
Castle Crashers would might be in 1220-1350 cause Castle crashers helmets were based off of the Great Helm (confirmed by the behemoth) and the Great Helm was common in the 13-14 centuries so I think that it takes place at that time

i think it go's battle block theater, alien homided hd, then alien homided invasion, then castle crashers then pit people because after the invasion earth was set back to the medieval age with some modern tech so thats why we see modern tech in pit people and castle crashers cant be behind BBT because in the opening too BBT the narrator says the scientist wants too make a race of super bats and Pipistrello is his creation a super bat. and the aliens in castle crashers are just monitoring the humans rise up again as a experiment. but that's just what i think maybe this will change your mind on some placements

my head cannon for hatty being in CC is that he's literally being ripped from BattleBlock into Castle Crashers. Like the Gods (dev team) are literally pulling him from his time into this one.

I believe BattleBlock theater takes place after Alien Homind Invasion, because in the Chapter 4 movie/cutscene the same one with the Titanic, the narrator states that the year was around 170509-ish, though with the titanic being there in it, it could still be that it was before, then again there could be some other reasons for the titanic being there. I see where you’re coming from though. /lh

What I think for hatty in castle crashers is that evil wizard could tell the future so he uses magic to bring hatty to CC but evil wizard takes hattys evil magic so thats how hatty is good now but thats also how he doesn't have evil powers

I didn't dive this deep as you do, but what do you think about this random guess?
Instead of the crystal isn't be purely purged, which will kind against the ending of castle crasher.
Purrham Furbottom simply find the wizard's deadbody, and took some magical item, wizard robe for example, and reshape it into morden hat or somthing on the hat such as that belt.
Quote from Battleblock:Chapter 5 "other claim Purrham was adventuring through the treacherous caves of the nightmare princess when he found the Hat perched atop a giant ruby, a ruby that naturally formed into the shape of a skull "
You said that crystal's neutral state is white, but the hat only display two color, green and red, never white, well, at least never glow in white.
Red is for wizard, and green...I have no clue.
My best guess is, in the end of castle crasher, the last princess turn into a clown, and we know this series full with dark humor.
Perhaps that means the king betray the knight? And then bury the knight and wizard in the same tomb to cover things up, and "the nightmare princess" might refer to the fake princess in ending.
Since the default knight is the green knight, so the development team toke green magical power.
Or castle crashers could be a post apocalyptic future

one thing to note is that even despite the hat having red magic and everything, the crystal when taken over still has white electrical effects with it. not red
of course this isnt big and could just be an oversight in the game but its just some food for thought

I was kinda hoping for the sequel, if they make one, to have the new leader of the cultists like some demon, and the knights had to call help from Paladins. But it would make more since for the origin of the crystal or how it got into Hatty's hat, even if I don't like it. Not that I'm saying they might not make it.

I think it goes Alien Hominid (World isn't destroyed yet) -> Battleblock theater (Hatty falls into the sea and kills honey hugs, kickstarting the apocalypse) -> Pit people (immediate aftermath of the apocalypse caused by honey hugs death, medieval like society is starting) -> Castle Crashers (Period of relative stability after the events of pit people, medieval like society is in full swing. Hatty also reemerges to be a playable character which while probably non-canon would only make sense after at least BBT)
Forgot about invasion, would just be after alien hominid.
Would also explain all the technology in castle crashers

Hm... What if Hatty is somehow traveled back in time, to defeat the wizard and erase him, since he's the only one who has "The Power of Good".

If you didn’t notice, the Helmetite space shuttle is in the background of Grandmothership’s boss fight during the transitioning of her second phase in Alien Homind Invasion. Meaning Pit People really did happen.

By doing very basic research on The Behemoth, it is known that Alien Hominid HD, the ga,e that you showed, had its graphics redone in 2023, the first graphics change since Newgrounds. (2002). The hat is no coinsidence. It is supposed to be there.
also, what if castle crashers is a rotated image of the Black Sea, then the crimean war would make absolutely perfect sense.

What if it's all just a massive time loop that shifts little by little as more looping happens? Eventually it all segments into each other seamlessly.

Okay i knew this video would be unique when he put castle crashers at the beginning normally people put castle crashers after battleblock theater because in battle block theater there's a scientist that wants to make mutant bats even though he's scared of bats and pp estrella is in bbt but it would make sense if castle crashers was in the beginning of the timeline
Yeah I mentioned the bats in my counter arguments section, I believe it to just be a reference, or at the very least, the scientist never did it as it only said it was his dream, so we cannot confirm he made pipi or not

What makes Castle Crashers kinda out of place in this timeline is lack of magic and other races. Like, what happened to Fire Demons, Bears and Cyclopes? They're all dead or in area 51 as an anomaly? Who knows? No one knows. Only Behemoth knows.
