watching this while currently making a hat out of red heart super saver!! it’s cheap enough at walmart so my friend is gonna have to live with the itchiness😂
I use red heart super saver solely because I'm poor but some dollar tree hair conditioner for severely damaged hair and some hot water and elbow grease and patience, it softens up pretty good. I find the softer yarn tends to split and I end up pulling my working yarn through the middle of the strand rather than through the loop. So for me the stiffer yarn crochets better then I soften it after
My grandma recently passed and as one of her only grandchildren who kept the crochet and knitting skills she taught us all when kids I inherited her yarn. It came with a lot of red heart sadly but I just don’t have the heart to throw it out so I gotta make something with it. Recommendations? Unrelated but there are other paths to Christmas, far truer and far more meaningful than the evangelical road. Or so I’ve always found.
Thank you!! But idea! The stiffness that the red heart super saver yarn has would be great for like storage baskets. Oooo, that gave me another idea, I might make basket out of it for my dogs toys!
You know, I was just going to watch this to look for good types of yarn, but the second you disrespected a religion, I just had to say something. What the heck. That was just so disrespectful of you. You should know by now how immature that was. I know you just made a little comment about it and it doesn't seem like a big deal, but what if I swapped out the word "Evangelical" with the term, "LGBTQ+?" It would most likely upset lots of people. I'm not even in the Evangelical church, but I know that disrespecting someone's religion, EVEN if they disagree or maybe even disrespect you, is so immature. Religion is very important to people, and for some, it's the only reason they are still here. Don't disrespect it. But yeah I agree, super saver isn't very good, but I use it to make doll plushies lol
Scrolling… paused to listen, decided I’m an instant follower bruhahaha 😻

I steam it and it softens up instantly then let it dry. If you have an iron set it to steam and keep it a few inches away or it will melt
that first part is so real

I'm so sorry for you loss :( you can always make plushies/baskets with it! There are also ways that you can soften the yarn
