It’s cool seeing people from idaho with nice things to say I hunted this area two years ago after we all tagged out we went and drank beer and some whiskey in nice hot spring along the road, it was clear it was a popular spot to take a dip. some dude figured the parking area was a good place to sleep in his rig apparently we pissed him off parking next to his Tahoe , mr tuff guy then waited tell we were in the hot springs before he threatened to shoot us for parking there as he sped off. Not all Californian’s are bad people especially us nor cal people. I too respected the land and the people around me that were hunting the area. Your state is amazing but it’s frustrating not feeling welcome.
I appreciate that you guys tried a couple local brews. Seemed like your were respectful of my state and surrounding wildlife. I hate to see how many people are starting to destroy the absolute beauty Idaho has to offer. I got to live vicariously through y’all for 40mins. Thanks for such a great video!
Love the video. Just saw a chainsaw hack just before watching this where the dude slowly pulled the line out and let it go and it instantly started the chainsaw.
Awesome landscape out there man! My buddy lives in Fairfield! Just a short skip up the road. About 5 years ago I hauled my Samurai out there and wheeled it up to Soldier Mountain and on into the Sawtooths. We hit up some hot springs and had a blast. Endless roads all the way to Canada man! No way to see it all in a lifetime! Enjoying the videos man. Looks like the pup dog had as good of time as you boys did!
Thanks man, I love it up there. It’s a truly beautiful place. There are hot springs all through the that area, just wish I had more time to stop and explore and enjoy them. But I’ll be back up hopefully. And yep, the dog had a great time. It’s good to get them out there every now and then. 👍thanks for watching, as always!
Thanks for watching! It is a beautiful area. First choice is the Sierra Nevadas, but mendo is in my back yard now, so I’ll be in there a lot in the coming months.
Great Video!! love seeing content like this using full size Rigs for Overlanding. I have had Jeeps but have recently purchased a 2023 Silverado 2500HD Z71 Diesel and am looking at doing the same to this vehicle. Looking in to getting a rack and rooftop tent set up and getting their off the Grid to enjoy the out doors for sure. Keep up the great videos Man!
i have a 06 5.9 that im building for camping and fishing just installed all carli front end parts been looking for something to do for tire inflation/deflation this video is great!!!!
Just subbed! Love the rig. I’m gonna be starting a megacab overland build here soon. Was in the market for a 4R or Tacoma but a diesel makes more sense for me, more room, plus I can still haul equipment with it
Thanks for sharing, just subbed. I found your channel with the motos. Overlander here and adventure motorcycle rider. I’m running an F350 with a FWC and an F850GSA, my new moto is a T7, just starting the build on it. I will say that your meals rocked!
Dude, would love to join you in the future. I am retired combat veteran looking for more trail adventures. I'm near Moab, Utah if you guys ever come this way.
Lol it’s true, I told my buddy off camera, “I really should have brought my machete” that would have solved the whole issue and probably in less time lol.
I carry a Jonsered 70e with a 24” bar when camping or going off road. I also have a light hand saw and an axe as well. Lots of different tools for a job
Main problem with pinstripes is you get a little bit on there, then all the sudden you’re doing it all the time, and then very quickly you have a truck that looks like garbage because you didn’t take care of it. I’ll trim some bushes before I mess up the pain on my expensive truck.
How is the mega cab on the trails? I know it’s got a wider turning radius and the break over angle is ass but is it really much worse than the quad cab?
Definitely takes a little more maneuvering, the turning radius is the biggest contrast on our trucks, I can turn MUCH sharper than he can with the mega.
Great Video, I have a 07 Ram 5.9, hearing some of your radio conversation it sounded like you had a few modifications to the power of your truck from the sound of it maybe the exhaust. Would you mind sharing? I didn’t see a video about your truck specifically on your channel. Unless I missed it.
Sorry its been so long! Yes I have a few things done to the truck. Mine is a 08 - 6.7 so its a little different than yours. My Buddies truck is an 06 and we went to a 30% over injector, second gen swap with a S366, and a Fass lift pump, as well as EFI Live
I’m sure you’ve been asked this already but how much lift and what size of tires you running? I’m wanting to run 37s with a flat bed and a truck camper
Awesome rigs, what are your wheel specs? I used to have a 2021 Tacoma with the exact method wheels but wanted to know the exact specs, I’m also lifted with the same bumper but wanted new wheels.
These trucks are great overall. Obviously, you can get better trucks for individual purposes that will be more ideal, but with these specifically, you can tow anything you want, do some moderate wheeling, and are still decent drivers on the road
Depends what you need your truck for, I have 1 2012 ram 1500 and a 2012 ram 3500 mega cab both used for work, but if I want to overland stuff and still tow no way I could do both worlds with a 1500. A 3500 with the right suspension set up will feel so much smoother while still being able to tow and do these type of things.
I have an 08 duramax I plan on offroading more. Did my first camping trip in it last weekend (8 days ago) and plan on doin more! Where are there hot springs in Idaho? I'm in central/Eastern washington
That’s awesome! I love getting out and truck camping. “Overlanding” lol. But the hot springs we found were all up above lucky peak reservoir. There’s only one road out, and they’re scattered all through the area.
It’s a President Bill CB radio. I do not have a HAM license, or else I would have probably gone that route. I’m considering a GMRS radio though, that seems to be a really good in between. Thanks for watching!
"couldn't wait to whip it out..." Calling it now, within a few years, this will be sponsored by 'Kinders Rustic Forest seasoning blend (tm), for all your overlanding meals.'
Awesome video man! You definitely convinced me on taking the 22” wheels off my 4th gen and going to a smaller wheel/bigger tire! What drone are you using?
@@EpicAdventuresOffroad You should do a video showcasing everything you have done to the truck man, I know that would get a ton of attention! Also for selfish reasons I want to know what you have done since I am building out my 07.5 Cummins 6.7 quad cab! Either way keep up the awesome trips, Ive enjoyed watching!
Yeah never come back to Idaho dude. Every stoner at my highschool goes to lucky peak to light up on the weekends 😂it’s not that hard of a drive. Cali plates explains a lot though.
Oh look, another useless comment by a internet tough guy. I never said it was a hard drive, I respected the area and cleaned up after myself. And picked up all the other garbage that was left by “every stoner at your high school”. And the comment about the Cali plates- that really shows your intelligence level, so keep it up. ✌️

Love the white ram with the mega cab getting out there.
Awesome drone footage, beautiful. Really cool dog too.
Thanks!
Trying to get int overlanding, so glad I came across this, Christian overlanding content with some Cummins! Cant go wrong
Nice adventure! Glad to see those rigs digging it. I have a 06 that I love dearly, very reliable Cummins. 🤙
Just bought a 2007 with 5.9 Cummins, I can’t wait to do some trails in it. I’m glad I came across your channel.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Can’t go wrong with a Cummins love the truck keep the content coming
Thank you!
Great video guys i have a 2019 2500 Ram and have it all step up for places like that. Love finding places like that to take my inflatable kayak
Welcome to Idaho 🤠 it was very nice watching your adventure!
Thanks!

Just posted one from Shasta recently. hopefully you can get a minute to watch it.

Yeah for sure. I’m gonna build one this winter;)
You represented Idaho very well in so many aspects in this video. God bless you man, keep on truckin

Love stuffing big rigs in small places
Sounds like a movie I saw once!! Lol
My favorite part was when they passed a stock Ford Edge on the same trail as them.
What’s even better were all the Priuses!
You running the Carli pintop?how do you like it so far. Got a great set up there. What kind of tent?
Yes sir, Carli pintop. Love the whole suspension setup on this truck. And the tent is a Yakima skyrise. Thanks for watching!
Hi please where buying bumpers, steps and another armor??! Some shop or company maybe with IRON CROSS product thanks a lot 🤟👍
I’m sure you’ve been asked this already but how much lift and what size of tires you running? I’m wanting to run 37s with a flat bed and a truck camper
Its just a Carli pintop 2.5 kit with a Carli spring pack in the rear, I think it comes up about 2" if I remember correctly. Tires are 37 12.50 17's
Awesome
Thanks for the video. Loved the breakfast prayer! You running 37s on your RAM?
Thank you! I appreciate you watching. Yep, both trucks have 37’s.
Did the mega cab have any issues following with it being longer?
No issues on this trip. Turning radius is definitely worse than mine, but we weren’t on anything too tight so it did totally fine.

Sorry for the late response. These are 37x12.50R17 Method MR305's with a 5.75 offset.

Not sure of the name, sorry. But it’s next to lucky peak reservoir. Hope that helps!

Construction.
Where beautiful, where is it?
Lucky peak reservoir outside Boise Idaho.
Does your dog ride in the kennel while you're driving?
Yep. Best place for a dog that likes to play in the water lol
What bumpers are those
Chassis unlimited, Octane bumper
I wonder if these are too big of trucks? What about a single cab 1500 with a 3in lift and 33 tires? or A 1500 crew cab
These trucks are great overall. Obviously, you can get better trucks for individual purposes that will be more ideal, but with these specifically, you can tow anything you want, do some moderate wheeling, and are still decent drivers on the road
