- I just picked up this 2008 Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins that is built for overlanding. In this video, I take it on its maiden voyage, try out the suspension, camp, cook, fish, clear some trails, and have an awesome night of camping with great food and beautiful scenery. Thanks for watching!

Very nice truck. I'm building my 06 cummins into an overlander, would be nice to know specifics of your truck, maybe you can do a video about it and a gear you are using. There are not very many videos on 3rd gen cummins with overlanding in mind.

In the marines we call them johon Wayne's very nice set up going to do this with a 1500 chevy duromax but trying to figure out how to take my atv in the bed and still have a tent like yours .

Cool stuff man I’m debating filming the build of my truck and the adventures I plan to do with it but I want to do it right. I have no experience with this kind of thing but I’m building something what I think is cool and I’d like to do it where it looks professional like the way you film your stuff. Any tips or gear suggestions would be appreciated. Or if your ever in the Humboldt area I’d love to buy you a beer and pic your brain.
It would've been nice if you talked more about how you came about finding this great diesel truck and the features that interested you...also what exactly made the off road setup over the stock build pretty solid. Just some stuff to address the car guys out there....

Br careful tightening chain on tailgate. Was doing it years ago, it slipped of the edge and the chain literally cut my nose in half. Lots of stitches

They’re sdhq ditch light brackets for the third gen, and diode dynamics pods.

Carli Pintop 2.5 system, with the leaf pack and sway bar. For tires I’m running Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37x12.50R17
how has offroading the ram with the weight of the truck vs maybe offroading in a tundra?
I haven’t ever owned a tundra, but as far as how it handled/felt, it seems great! I’m looking forward to getting more actual off-roading in, and I’ll try and do a report back at that time.

Haha, I hear you. I just try to avoid them if I can. It’s a daily driver too, not only a camping rig. So I try and take as good care of it as possible.
