    UPDATE:
One of the patches since recording this video has updated the Weapon, as of 2024/07/03 the changes are:
    1. Sword now deals mostly Physical with a little Magic Damage (Previously purely Physical)
    2. Intelligence requirement of 16 has been removed and replaced with a 19 Arcane Requirement
    3. Scaling has changed to Str: B Dex: E and Arc: D (Despite this, Arcane still scales pretty well, gaining approximately 70 AR when brought from the minimum of 19 up to 50)
How does this effect the build?
    1. You no longer need any points in Intelligence
    2. Weapon is more viable for users who only want to put in the minimum 19 Arcane Requirement and focus on Strength, but still performs comparably to the video if going the Arcane focused route.
    3. Flame, Grant me Strength provides a little less value now that it doesn't deal purely Physical Damage, but is still worth using as it's roughly 80% Physical 20% Magic.
Thankfully despite those changes, it still rocks! Good luck!

Unsure if I found your channel because of Elden Ring or if youtube knows kobolds are my favorite little bastard anklebiters to play in dnd. I'm not complaining, either way. Subbed! Love me some build videos especially. I swear I rebirth 6 times a day.

Hey, I noticed that the weapon screenshot you included lists the weapon as having a B scaling in Arcane. Is this what it is in game? I only ask because everywhere else I’m seeing shows a D scaling even when maxed. The only reason I’d be hesitant to use it is because of that Arcane scaling. Thanks!

Wow, glad you asked that! It looks like since I recorded this video a patch has changed the weapon scaling and changed the damage to be split between Physical and Magic. I'll pin a comment later noting the changes. I haven't tested this myself yet, but looking around online it seems like Arcane scaling is still very high, giving 3-4 AR per point up to 50 Arcane despite the D rating. Thanks again for bringing it up!

Any reason to not put a skill on the shield? Or is that just to be able to use the swords Ash of war single handed?

You got it, I just like being able to use the Swords Ash of War with my shield out. You could definitely put something on the shield if you wanted.

@@NKobold thoughts on less arcane investment, and more STR/FAITH to have access to more spells at the 125-150 bracket? Is the sword a lot weaker there or nah? I’d imagine having access to more faith spells in that 125-150 range may be better? But unsure how that would effect the swords effectiveness/impact

@@jeremesmith9266 You'd lose a bit of Attack Rating and Damage off the Ash of War, but I think the Sword has a strong enough baseline that it would still be a solid pick. Even though the Ash of War scales off Arcane it gains most of its damage just from upgrading the weapon, so it'll still hit like a truck even with minimal Arcane investment.

I’m definitely trying this build, is it viable at level 120? Still leveling but don’t want to wait lol

Nice! If I was running it at 120 I would drop my endurance and either wear lighter armour, sacrificing the 51 poise breakpoint to wear a greatshield OR switch out to a lighter medium shield while keeping the 51 poise. Assuming Confessor as starting class I'd go:
      Vigor: 40
      Mind: 20
      Endurance: 20
      Strength:35
Dexterity:12 (Could do 10 with a different starting class)
      Faith: 26
      Arcane: 30
If I've done my math right, that should land you at Lvl 120. I haven't tested those numbers in game, you might still need a little more endurance, but it should be a good starting point that hits all the minimum stat requirements for the Gear / Spells!
