It's so nice to see an ACTUAL dryleaf build that's on theme like the dryleaf monks in the game. Everyone else is just going frost and ignoring that they're supposed to be casting destructo discs and stuff too. Thank you for this!
Blame FromSoft for giving the weapon better int scaling than faith scaling lol. Cold Dryleaf/Dane scales B C C with Cold infusion while the Flame Art infusion scaled B E E. Both have the same base damage but Cold has the extra Frost buildup too
depending on your build and playstyle you could consider using ritual SHIELD talisman instead of sword. because yea like you said you will be trading hits. so having that big damage negation for the one hit you need to tank helps a lot since you will probably poise break the boss
Im runnning a Flame Danes Footwork with Braggarths Roar WA, the kick/stomp talisman, 2 that buffs dmg on consecutive attacks and Divine Bird Warrior Greaves for even more kick dmg; the 2 basic FTH buffs and an Elixir with oil and fire dmg tears. tons of fun and staying on the enemies face sets for a lot of avoiding attacks while attacking. a dagger with Endure and the Great Turtle Shell wraps everything. the new Incantations sets the mid-high range combat, Knight's Lightning Spear tears dangerous enemies while keeping distance and Ancient Dragons Lightning Strike demolishes large enemies with 3 making Furnace Golems fall for crit Raptors Black Feathers + Claw Talisman is also an alternative since the jumping attack kicks twice
You can skip the first boss area. From the grace right before Castle Enis if you go east, down the hill and jump down some rocks you can follow that path and after you fight off some crabs there should be a spirit spring that you can unlock. That spiritspring will take you to a Fort that's accessible tohrough Scadu's Atlas. Awesome build and Cheers!
CAN you share your stats ? Been meaning to try a subzero build and im not sure if I should go full quality or invest a bit into intelligence for the frost magic damage
You can certainly get the dryleaf arts before beating any boss (save the dane himself). You need only get to scadu altus via getting to the fort of reprimand by jumping to it from below with spirit springs in the poison swamp area. (The one you can get to by going left down the hill on the way to the ruined forge lava intake.) After that you need only head to the highroad cross to get the gesture and return to dane at the ruins.
the cut after the enemy grab at 7:59 made me laugh Also thanks for the build, i'm STR/Faith but just went heavy on this and didn't consider flame art with flame grant me strength
Thank you for making a build more closer to the actual character Dane rather than following the wave of frost and bleed builds. Going to to respec later to do the holy version of this, cheers!
Yes, it is one of the strongest build. The hyper armour is insane . I think i like the one with palm blast more than the one with the kicks but you can equipe bouth. I have cold infusion on the kicking one. Very easy to prock it and the change back
My most used weapon is rellas dual swords. I have 2.230+ ar at lvl 205 .its quit crazy! in the regular game i have 1.k ar with buffs its more like 2.6 and 1.3. the skill on it is ok and does good damage but the attacks breakpoise quickly and are fun
Feel like subbing rellanas talisman for flame scorpion would be a better trade off since you get the damage boost for hold the weapon art without the added damage increase
You can get to Highroad Cross Grace without beating a single boss by taking the spirit spring leading to the Fort. Spring is near the poison area going down the path to the left of the first forge dungeon in gravesite. Don’t jump into the fort but to the right of it and avoid the abductors then follow the road and skip the dragon fight. Should pass right by Dane on the way to the emote.
Using the dryleaf arts on Maliketh and I fucking hate it here. I love the weapon on most bosses (it destroys Melania) but when yhe bosses become too mobile its a nightmare to use.
Halp it won’t allow me to give flame art to Danes footwork, I have the whet blade it just won’t give me the option to allow palm blast w flame art. Can someone explain why it won’t work?
awesome! ive been theorycrafting a palm blast build ever since i got it, glad to see that great minds think alike :) ive been messing with a rellanas sword build. but ive been wanting to respec back to faith lol
I also like to use Ancestral Spirits Horn/Sword of Milos when surrounded by enemies so I can some FP right back. I switch them back before boss fights though.
I don’t know how to add an affinity to the regular palm blast on danes footwork, does anyone know? i can’t find it in the ash of war menu to change its affinity
go to hewg (blacksmith) in the round table hold. select the ash of war option, and again select the palm blast ash of war to apply it to the dry leaf weapon. This should pop up the selection of affinity. If you meant that you cant see the affinity itself then you need to find the whetblade required for them to work
How about this, int+faith build, cold whirlwind kick and flame art palm blast. The idea is to frost with whirlwind then blast to deal dmg and reset frost.

With enough holy damage negation you can mostly ignore the beam and clones attacks to give yourself bigger openings to use the ash of war and the first phase is actually weak to holy. It should be possible especially with a healing spell but maybe a little inconsistent without making sure you avoid all the most damaging moves
5 days before you release this video I launched this build on my channel, with exactly same setup, status and even golden armor. I hope that is an unbelievable coincidence instead of a content copy.
It is just a coincidence. This is our first time encountering your channel, as it is Spanish-speaking, so TH-cam probably doesn't serve your content to us. Regarding the build, we simply tested different setups, as we demonstrated in our video. When aiming for the most damage or a specific playstyle, people will often arrive at similar conclusions, just like 1+1=2. We found that faith did the most damage for us and that we needed charge talismans, similar to how every bleed build uses the white mask. Looking through your video, the setup isn't the same as you use dane's footwork which we didn't include reasons we mention in our video. In general, people upload similar ideas from their own work or take inspiration from others, so we personally try not to get upset when similar content is uploaded. The golden armor is the same armor we have been using, as you can see in this video uploaded before yours: th-cam.com/video/cefb4WW4qHc/w-d-xo.html. Hopefully that helps
@ArekkzGaming As I said, I hope that is just a coincidence, but is a big one tho. The chances of getting the exactly same status with the same build concept are pretty low. Vitality, mind, endurane and faith all the same. I know those things could happen, but I had my content copied before, so maybe that made me more alert and afraid of happening again. About the Dane's Footwork is mentioned only for more dynamic gameplay, the true concept is the Punch ash of war. Anyway, keep the good content. At least you spent some time to respond, so I will consider your words with good faith.
Anytime, we use someone's build they are credited with a shout out. Those values for the stats are the same for the majority of DLC builds for faith as those are the soft caps for those stats, putting any more could end up just being a waste of points.
