Nothing embarrassing as a Sheff Utd fan, player or anything after that, just world class players doing world class things. Unfortunately it's the state of football in the last 2 or 3 years now where without the money there is no way to ever compete. Ridiculous wages, transfer fees and overall fees mean that becoming a good footballing club is entirely dependent on funding now. Really frustrating if not sickening as a Blade and I'm sure Burnley and Luton are in a similar boat because we've earned our place in the premier league and for what? Just to be told we are an embarrassment to the league because we don't spend hundreds of millions and risk the future of the club. Something has to change soon if any promoted sides want to come up with a fair chance of staying up in the years to come. Enforce wage caps for players who don't play regularly or give more money for promotion and less for staying up in the Premier league. Something to not gate keep the prem for the clubs who have the most money. Or accept that the qulaity of teams coming up will diminish with each season. Embarrassing for the Elite if anything, keeping themselves at the top at the expense of the others
If anything you are unfair to the championship, upon your relegation you’ll get tens of millions in parachute payments that others won’t be able to compete with.

My guess is you watch the Premier League and that's it....not realising just how much more money is involved in the Premier League and the debts that come with that. Even if we don't spend to stay up
