GH1: Lots of Punk rock on the setlist GH2: Lots of Rockabilly on the setlist GHWOR: Lots of pure Metal on the setlist(Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Thrash, Nu, etc.)
GH1: Punk Rock GH2: Rockabilly GH3: Classic Rock GHWT: Pop Rock GH5: I literally have no clue what the focus of this setlist is lol GHWOR: Metal and Hard Rock
@@stanleysmooth GH3 had quite a bit of Heavy Metal tho too. Slayer, Slipknot, Black Sabbath, White Zombie, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Disturbed, do I have to keep going here?
I know this thread is old, but my only real problem with WoR was the inconsistent setlist. As much as I love "Burnin' For You", "Unskinny Bop", "We're Not Gonna Take it", and "Fortunate Son"; songs like that didn't fit with the overall theme of the game. Like, you can't tell me the characters look right playing "Losing My Religion". Also, Linkin Park, Nickelback, and Fallout Boy? Really? What is this, Warriors of Pop-Rock? Honestly those songs are why I don't think the setlist is as challenging as people say. It's only the thrash songs and Fury of the Storm that are hard. Out of the 110 songs it comes with only "Chemical Warfare", "Indians", "Holy Wars", "Children of the Grave", "Fury of the Storm", and "This Day We Fight" really standout. Granted that's just my opinion, but when you present a metal as fuck art style I kinda expect more... You know... Metal.
Number 15 Guitar Hero Rocks the '80s The last thing you'd want in your full price Guitar Hero game is a DLC-quality setlist. But, as it turns out, that might be exactly what you get.
6:14 Fun fact: The main creators of Guitar Hero (Harmonix) had to sell the franchise to Activision after Guitar Hero 3, then Harmonix made Rock Band and Activision kept doing Guitar Hero games, that's why there are so many rip offs and games that should be mods, because Activision turned into a piece of shit.
Yep, you have seen what they have done to other great game series like Call of Duty. But to be honest, both EA and Ubisoft is just as bad. All they want is money, so that's why you see games being pumped out every year, and developer studios have to shut down because they are being forced to release unfinished games to the public. That's why you are only getting a "barebones" release, and have to pay through your ass for DLC-content that should have been included in the game from the beginning And don't get me started on the "Pay2Win" strategy with microtransactions all over the place
You just have to play GHTV. It is SOOOO worth it. GH Live, while good in concept, was horribly done. I don't know what complete moron came up with the song list.
Warriors of rock is my favourite guitar hero game and live is well interesting. I don't hate it but there are a hell of a lot more things I hate about the game than what I like about it.
The artistic style of GH3 is just amazing, all of the songs are incredible, the gameplay is super fun and polished. the animations and cutscenes are fun to look at, the battles are memorable and incredible. The whole game just exudes creativity and love for the rock music in general. It made me love the rock genre and appreciate all music in a different way.
I agree. It’s my favorite one too. I love the art style of the game too. The gritty cartoon style fits well. I say it’s probably the best because of its awesome art style. And the songs are the best in the series. And it even has one of my favorite character designs, that being the male singer. Everything about that game is perfect.
Agreed. I especially love how GH3 (as well as the arcade version) is the one with the song "Pretty Handsome Awkward" by The Used, which is one of my favorite songs.
Warriors of rock was not a mess, but instead a master piece. I feel like the addition of "powers" to the game each different from characters was a really cool add on rather than having boring characters who do absolutely nothing but play guitar. Of course this is just my opinion so you dont have to care.
The story was 🗑 However the thought of each character representing a (couple) genres in their own venues/subculture would be an awesome element in a future GH game!
nah there were "stories" w the career modes until world tour, WoR story was cringe w gene as a narrator & a sort of world of warcraft vibe w the transformations. that being said, for a GH7/8 story, each character should have its exclusive genres/venues/paths ya know? @@pirate__crewman
I think bathroomgamers made valid points tho, filler songs, a long and tedious story mode and the sheer difficulty may bring down casual players. However this game is an easy top 3 for hardcore players because of its sheer difficuty. Other pro points i really did enjoy is that whenever you pause and unpause during a song, it rewinds back a couple of seconds to prepare you for the next set of notes, whre pasts games just throw you into it, which throws off alot of players causing them to miss notes. Despite bathrooms complaint of specific powerups, i thought it was a nice twist to gameplay, but thats just me, esp where you can compete with others in a leaderboard specifically tailored to having all the powerups at once and just gaining insanely high multipliers and scores. I still think Guitar Hero 6 should be #1, but through their points i would say a #6. The only game i highly disagree with is guitar hero live, id bring that down #10, as alot of songs were cut down from their origional length (looking at you hanger 18, leaving out 3/4s of your solo) and left all of the hardcore veterans players leaving another one to bite the dust, and combined that with terrible CG graphics and crowd reactions where it feels like everyone hates you.....yea it brings it down where 11 and higher are just worse
I personally never was really into the GH games, i had a few freinds who had it, but i never played it. recently picked up CH b/c i wanted something new, and now I want to re-do my childhood
Guitar Hero 3 was the first Guitar Hero game that I played. And it is by far the best!!! GH3 got me into rock music, and guitars in general! It will always be legendary!!!
The story wasn't long (in-fact it's a shame that there wasn't more of it). I was complaining that you had to play almost all 80 something songs to make it to the end, and as many good songs as that game has, there are A LOT of mediocre/boring songs.
Plus many people, myself included enjoy just hopping in to play whichever song we like. But instead, you had to complete the story first before you could do that.
Here’s my opinion on the list; 1- Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock 2- Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock 3- Guitar Hero II 4- Guitar Hero 5 5- Guitar Hero: World Tour 6- Guitar Hero: Metallica 7- Guitar Hero: On Tour 8- Guitar Hero Live 9- Guitar Hero: Van Halen 10- Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades 11- Guitar Hero: Aerosmith 12- Guitar Hero 13- Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits 14- Guitar Hero: Smash Hits 15- Guitar Hero: Rock(s) the 80s
Guitar hero warriors of rock is a great game and you cant lie when you got so many good songs and you got the difficult ones to I think it should be in the number 2 spot it doesnt beat guitar hero 3 by any means but it's still a great game
I personally think GH:WOR should have been a couple places higher on the list since it has a fun campaign, a lot of songs, they range a decent amount in type of music but does focus on metal/rock, has extremely hard and extremely fun songs to play (for example Sudden Death by Megadeth), has a good setlist, has good mechanics and doesn't do the thing where it strums some notes and not others (basically the game mechanics are good) and overall is newer and looks better in terms of graphics and art style.
As much as I love the setlist for Warriors of Rock, the game feels rushed, and while the campaign had some fun moments (2112 and the final act), it felt pretty dis-conjointed and boring at times.
I saw Warriors of Rock as more of a grindy kinda game. Not the party game that Guitar Hero usually is. You spent hours going song from song, most of them slow and boring, just to get to the end result, and honestly, some people enjoy that in games. It's still a unique experience that I'll never be able to experience again, so I cherish the memories I've had with it.
i just went back and replayed Warriors of Rock, it's the first one i ever played, and i really enjoyed the campaign and how every rocker finally got something pretty unique about them, and it all culminated into them becoming like gods n shit also GH:WoR's climactic battle was WAY cooler than 3's, imo
Here's how i would rank the games 1 Guitar Hero 3 2 Guitar Hero 2 3 Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock 4 Guitar Hero Metallica 5 Guitar Hero World Tour 6 Guitar Hero 5 7 Guitar Hero 8 Guitar Hero Greatest Hits (Smash Hits in US) 9 Guitar Hero Aerosmith 10 Guitar Hero On Tour Decades 11 Guitar Hero Rocks The 80's 12 Guitar Hero Van Halen 13 Guitar Hero On Tour 14 Band Hero 15 Guitar Hero On Tour Modern Hits 16 Guitar Hero Live I pretty much care only about the songlists of the games, but GH Live is at the bottom cause you can't use your old guitar, drums and microphone controllers and a lot of features from WoR has been removed
Obviously you don't like GH Live, but that's okay xD I like your list though, and you're right: in the end, setlists are the most important thing :) THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR LIST WITH ME
I don't know about that. I've played every single guitar hero game and I really enjoy and still play guitar hero live. The campaign was lack luster but the new songs that it adds are addictive.
+stagm3 Why, exactly? Is it because it is different? Because just because something changed doesn't mean it's bad. The original guitar hero is now unplayable, and there are a few guitar hero games that are complete useless cash grabs, how are they better than Live, a 100% playable, polished game.
AyoBro! Different =\= good or better, guitar hero live is boring , had a dull soundtrack and even guitar hero 1 with it’s broken hopo is still better than GH live, but hey just my opinion if you like it enjoy, but to me it was dogshit
So 3 is definitely #1 but as a pretty hardcore GH fan i would put Warriors of Rock at 2 for the fact that you can Disc Import alot of other games (even though ALOT of the good tracks are left out) the Story Mode was the best since GH3. LOVED all the customization. biggest DLC library. Setlist was better than 4 and 5 imo. the only down fall to this game was the lack of Real life rockstar cameos. 3 ill say Metallica because i loved that setlist. but i thought the GH4 Engine was overused and kinda ugly for Created characters 4. Smash hits for the setlist 5. i wanna put GH2 higher but it is hard to go back to now, but it was the game that got me hooked back in the day. but ill go with GH WT...which was also a dissapointment at release. LOVED THE TOOL levels 6. So i never played 5... the setlist looked okay, but i was able to import what songs i could into GHWoR, the grahpics engine looked better. ALSO bandhero is trash
Warriors of rock shouldn't have been so low guitar hero 3 should be on top it was THE BEST game out of all of them but warriors of rock I kinda disagree with the placement on where he put it at
My first Guitar Hero game ever was World Tour and I absolutely loved it because it had all of my favorite songs and I became a Tool fan because of this game. It will always be the best game I’ve ever played!
Took a gander at the set list. Not a single Muse song. Gave some attention to Marmozets though which is cool. One of those warm up acts that I discovered and got really into.
I bet no one ever wanted to get a guitar to play the latest Pop and Dubstep hits out there that doesn't even feature guitars at all, so why the fuck include that music in what basically is a guitar simulator?
I agree with most of these, but warriors of rock was absolutely awesome. The setlist was amazing and I liked the unique powers that spiced up the game a bit, as well as giving the campaign legitimate replayability.
Not only that, but in Quickplay+, it vastly improved upon GH5's challenge system by actually having multiple challenges for guitar, bass, drums, vocals and band, as well as special Warrior challenges where you try to earn as many stars as possible with whatever two power-ups you wanted!
@@AArdW01f yeah i bought a guitar hero guitar + guitar hero 1 in ps2 and i just completed the game without any problem so idk why in the video he is complaining
@@lxchv420 It's not "unplayable" if you have an old CRT or even an old HDTV. It's unplayable if you have a modern HDTV that doesn't have a game mode. While you can adjust to playing the game like this, not everyone likes having to do so. Also, this doesn't make it unplayable, but the HOPO system is seriously screwed up in the original.
Guitar Hero: Live didn't kill the series. No matter how good the execution is, nothing could ever make the series match its success during its prime time. And while the songs in the Live mode are shit, there are some AMAZING songs in GHTV mode.
The series killed itself with its hiatus that lasted so long. People didn't even think there would be another game until GH Live was announced out of the blue.
1:3 2:Metallica 3:2 (Metallica has a better song list then two by far which is why it beats 2.) 4:WOR 5:World Tour That would be my top five. Didn't care for Van or Smith. I didn't play two much of 5 either. Never played 1 and honetly glad I didn't. Live? No I rather jump off a bridge. That's worse the the ds games. Like..... Really. They must have had strokes to think that was a good idea. I don't get why you hate on WOR either. Good set list and felt really smooth when calibrated right.
I think my list would go something like this: 15) Guitar Hero 14) Guitar Hero: Live. My guitar broke 3 months after I got it, it’s nearly unplayable because of the strange new look, and I HATE the new button layout. 13-11) All the DS versions because I never had them and never cared to because I’ve always had giant hands and I hate the look of it. 10-8) All of the band-centered games because I find them to be extremely boring and uninteresting. 7) Smash Hits (didn’t seem to function well for me and it was boring as shit) 6) Warriors of Rock (mostly because I never got the chance to buy it and I’m bitter about it lol) 5) World Tour (I hated the new art style and the set list never caught my eye really, but the drums were enough to bring it up a bit) 4) Guitar Hero Rocks The 80’s (because I played it a lot as a kid and got it for christmas in 2010 or 2011 and played the entire thing in one day and had a ton of fun with it) 3) Guitar Hero 5 (it did the full band thing better than world tour and had a new look that was hard to get used to but I ended up loving to death) 2) Guitar Hero 2 (what a fantastic game for real) 1) Guitar Hero 3. This is what sparked my love for rock and metal. It changed my entire life. I still play it daily to this day and I’m now attempting to try going pro and FC the whole set list. Granted, it’s in the beginning stages and it’ll take me a VERY long time to succeed, but I’m going to do it if it kills me. I love this game with all my heart and I think it’s my favorite game of all time.
Guitar hero warriors of rock you can still get on ebay for 10 bucks and it's so worth it all you need is the game if you already got the guitar that is but it's worth getting I got it brand new not to long ago and I didnt regret it at all!
I hated guitar hero live as it felt like a kick in the teeth to the fans who grew up mastering the series. So to change it is a complete disrespect to the fans. Bring back the colours and I'll play it again.
So what about Call of Duty, Assasin’s Creed, all of EA’s sports games, and so on and so forth? These games have been criticised for being the same games over and over and over but you treat GH as if it’s on some sort of pedestal and any change is terrible. While I haven’t played Live myself I don’t think it’s that bad of an idea to have 6 frets (3*2). Also from your comments it seems as if you would like to have the same boring thing over and over and over and not try anything new. They tried something new, you didn’t want to learn it and therefore didn’t exactly give it a chance and now there’s probably never gonna be another GH ever, just because of your lame excuses that they can’t change anything because that would be a “kick to the fans”. Good job. P.S. I actually do like the 5 fret formula BUT I think that they were trying to do something new instead of just staying the same and eventually just losing any kind of integrity they had
Man, I fucking loved GH3. Played it when I was 14 after 5 years of getting into rock and metal, and it fucking rocked my pants. I was too poor to afford the game, not to mention a guitar controller - I remember I pirated it off a russian torrent and, man I played it until finished the game on expert playing with my keyboard held upside down. Was using the scroll lock key as the strum/picking, DEL key as the Whammy and F1-F5/F8-F12 as the notes. I legit used to use a real pick on the key for strumming. By the time i was done with the game my ScrolLK key was polished shiny black by the pick strumming to the point you couldn't even see the indented writing on it anymore. This game was absolutely influential for getting me into playing real guitars later in my life
Chillabyte live is great. Sure it drastically changed the Guitar Hero formula, but at least it's something new. And not the same exact game every time. *cough Rock Band cough*
Railen Herman GH Live fucking sucks because of its obligatory microtransactions and poor setlist, and boring campaign Meanwhile rb4 lets you use the dlc songs from previous games, it's compatible with older instruments, better songs, and it does't force you to pay coins for playing (like TV mode) I had GH live and i had instant regret for not getting rb4 instead And let me tell you that i was a Die Hard GH fan that played every single game and that was a huge dissapointment
Ironicism why? Because thats what the typical guitar hero game looks like. Fans all around the world enjoyed the old scheme more than the new one. On the old one you had opportunity to play drums, sing and play bass. On the new one you have only guitar and mic. On the older ones you enjoy what is to play in a band and the experience is different. With all these things and now they suddenly change everything?? What the hell happened.. Activision its a bitch too, they shot down the servers of gh greatest hits and shuted down the music stores on all guitar hero's. Ghwor had ton of dlcs and now its empty. Its fucking sad how the old guitar hero gmes are pretty much dead. I hope they return to the old sheme
I remember unwrapping this game with the red guitar 🥺 man I miss being a kid and having that feeling when you unwrap a gift and it’s the item you’ve been wanting all year.
You’re wrong. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has a strumming engine which is horrible. Plus not many people play Guitar Hero Aerosmith. It’s not the best, just saying.
Metallica really suprised me with how much the band wanted the movement, gestures, and stage effects for each song. Next to Warriors of Rock it’s my favorite because you can learn of some of Metallica’s most famous songs, learn the riffs and add them to your music category. I have bad hand endurance when it comes to these GH games, but able to play their setlist on Hard mode is more that satisfing to me. It feels like the perfect pace, I wish they had more AJFA/Kill ‘Em songs incorporated but it felt right with graphics and song choices... GH picked right when they went with Metallica :)
"Why Aerosmith" Because Aerosmith is AWESOME! Aerosmith is ICONIC! Would've been better if it had the rest of the band not just guitar, but still, Aerosmith is AMAZING! My only complaint is that there aren't enough songs in the setlist. So much more could've been added.
I thought it was a amazing title and plenty of good songs though a bit too much filler but I really liked the overall game though clearly it wasn't well received by most players
Also, the second they shut down the GH TV servers for GH Live, that game will become a terrible paperweight. Seriously, it has the absolute most forgettable on disc soundtrack I've ever heard in any game, let alone a rhythm game where the soundtrack is the main focus of the game! As for the rest of the video, I agree and disagree with some placements, but great video regardless.
mazda9624 ok so I'm kinda new to the gh series and played wor, following a ton of rock and 4, and recently got gh live. I don't understand the big issue with guitar hero live. I really enjoy the TV mode.
The reason Why I love GHWT Is because Ozzy, Zakk, Tool, Interpol and Dream Theater Edit: But Thanks to GH3 I Know Killswitch Engage In Flames Slayer Metallica Slipknot Poison Muse The Killers Rolling Stones Black Sabbath Pearl Jam Queens Of The Stone Age Kiss Dragonforce Linkin Park Rage Against The Machine Disturbed I became a Rock/Metal fan thanks to Guitar Hero, but I'm very noob in The Game, but I can Sweep Picking On Guitar XD
Yea, pretty much sums up the list. But in my case some re-arrangements are needed This is my top 5: 5. Guitar Hero World Tour 4. Guitar Hero II 3. Guitar Hero 5 2. Guitar Hero Metallica 1. Guitar Hero III
DO THIS VIDEO FOR RESIDENT EVIL?!?!?!?! OOOOoooooOOOO I like the sound of that; thanks for the idea xD If I end up doing the video, I'll give you credit for the idea :)
I currently don't have access to my Guitar Hero or Rock Band gear, so I'm not able to work on the video yet. Script and formal layout has been planned though, so it's only a matter of time. Thanks for checking up on me!
Warriors Of Rock was the first guitar hero game I got to personally own and I played it every single day for at least two years. Not even joking. If I still had all my stuff to play it, I'd probably still play it here and there. Absolute jem of my childhood. And GH: Metallica was close second. Love that both games so much.
I got the guitar and game for five bucks. GH TV made it worth it for me, but I would've never paid full retail price. It feels soulless compared to past games. I dunno about worst GH game ever, though. There are the dumbed down mobile games, the DS games that I can't play with my fatass hands, and GH1, which was cool, but unplayable compared to the later games. At least live is playable.
I love how u make vids containing new AND old games! These days everyone focuses on new, new, new but some of the best (and worst) games are older. Just one of the many reasons myself and many others love your channel.
Sorry, but I disagree with the number 15 one. I mean sure, Rocks the 80s wasn't a great game in comparison to other games in the series, but it was the first GH I ever played, and it introduced me to a lot of great songs and bands that I've never heard of before. I, my brother and my sister would not have turned into whom we are today if our dad didn't buy it. It was in fact one of our introductions to rock music (along with some CDs including Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC/DC and so forth). Yes, the game would've been bigger and better if it included more songs, extra characters and a few boss battles perhaps, but I still enjoyed playing the game and I definitely don't regret ever playing it! It's still a game that owns a special place in my heart.
At least Rock The 80s had mostly new and original songs from that time period. I would've put Smash Hits at the very bottom, as it was just old songs that were reworked for a full band!
Guitar Hero World Tour is my absolute favorite! With Stranglehold as the best track! Though now I'm gonna dig deeper into guitar hero III legends of rock because of you putting it in the top spot!
I kinda disagree with you world tour is a good game but it has some ight downfalls to it but guitar hero three is perfect it gets everything you need in a game and if you want something hard I'd say to get guitar hero warriors of rock the campaign is long it took me 5 to 6 hours to complete but it's worth it it gets the hard songs you need but also some slightly easy songs to if I was you I'd get these two games
@@ILampp In my opinion gh3 is miles harder than world tour. It was probably better that I played world tour for a while before i tried some gh3 songs on clone hero
To be fair, the DS was pretty hard to do. You have to give props to the developers for even managing to make a Guitar Hero for DS, which is pretty damn fun once you've played it/gotten used to the carpal tunnel.
you're partly right for rock the 80's, it surely wasn't the one to really change anything, and you can see that they didn't try to do much with it. However, it's also the game with the best music of them all, and since guitar hero is all about music, I believe it should've ranked higher
this is how I would rank the list 1. guitar hero warriors of rock 2. guitar hero 2 3. guitar hero 3 4. guitar hero metallica 5. guitar hero smash hits 6. guitar hero 5 7. guitar hero 8. guitar hero van halen 9. guitar hero on tour decades 10. guitar hero encore rocks the 80s 11. guitar hero aerosmith 12. guitar hero on tour 13. guitar hero world tour 14. guitar hero on tour modern hits 15. guitar hero live the reason world tour is so low on the list is because the engine was terrible and it felt like the game was rushed. I put warriors of rock at number 1 because I love almost every song in the game plus it's difficult and it's the best when you also have dlc and imports
I agree with World Tour feeling rushed (also yes: the engine isn't great). And Warriors of Rock does have a FANTASTIC setlist :) THANK YOU FOR YOUR LIST :)
rivxrd 666 THANK YOU! Someone else who thinks Gh2 Was better than 3. The visuals and motion-cap were terrible in GH3. I highly prefer 2 for it's colorful visuals, GH3 had a bunch of flashing lights and close-ups of the singer's disgusting face. However, I do like GH3s download content. I think that was the reason it took the music game industry by storm
Rocks the 80s has a great soundtrack, but also has the smallest soundtrack in the entire series and is a GH2 reskin with less content, adding absolutely nothing to the series in terms of game content. It’s objectively kind of trash as a stand-alone game. Fun trash, but trash.
Pittsburghbaseball 2013 You have your opinions, you liked live, its okay other people don't its okay, just because some people don't doesn't mean you can't, like for me I don't like live but it doesn't mean you can't like it
I really like live. But in my favorite list, I would put it between my middle or low-middle placement, but I still really enjoy its new gameplay style. My biggest gripe with Live would be the lackluster offline songs and me sometimes losing Internet connection in GHTV mode. But GHTV is so fun to play with its 500+ free songs. Too bad they slowed down the release of new GHTV songs within the last few months. It used to be every week but now it's like once per month... actually, they stopped adding new songs after June 2017.
14. GH: Rocks the 80’s Objectively the worst. Setlist is ok, if it wasn’t only 30 songs and sold at full price. 13. Band Hero Garbage setlist, no real difficulty on guitar (Lifeline by Papa Roach is the hardest one), and really just a glorified GH5 expansion. 12. Guitar Hero Game hardly works by today’s standards. Solid setlist, albeit short. Needs more sauce. 11. GH: On Tour (series) Cool idea, but little more than that. Meh setlists, clunky playability, and seriously who even asked for this? 10. GH Aerosmith Good game. Uses GHIII engine, which is always a good thing. Great setlist, Aerosmith was a natural fit for the last guitar-only title. Brought down by a short setlist and limited variety (a common problem for band-centric games.) 9. GH Van Halen Take everything good about GHA and apply it to a full band game featuring Van Halen and you have everything great about GH:VH. Slightly more varied setlist, but little else to talk about. 8. GH Live This was a really cool idea... that only worked so well. It was a refreshing take and brought the series back, but its failure is likely a death blow to the franchise for good. The fact the Live setlist was mediocre and TV is permanently offline means this game is dead in the water, but it was fun while it lasted. 7. GH Smash Hits Underrated as hell. While it is just another glorified expansion pack for World Tour, something we saw far too many of, the setlist was undoubtedly one of the best we’ve ever had. It brought all the fan favorites from the guitar-only era into a full band game and really, if it had been on a better engine, it would’ve been so much better. 6. GH: World Tour The award for best standalone setlist goes to! Yeah, World Tour had a lot of gameplay issues, but the setlist and sheer star power in this title more than make up for it. 5. GH5 As a polar opposite to World Tour, I found GH5’s setlist was maybe spread a little TOO thin in the name of variety. But the engine was godlike and would be used until the series’s inevitable demise. Some of the new features were exciting and all the star power really made this game stand out, but the setlist was still a little but of a bummer. 4. GHII Just missing Top 3, GHII has a killer setlist, but a questionable engine. While FAR more polished than the original and entirely responsible for the series blowing up like it did, there were still a lot of issues. The UI needed some work, too, but for only the second game in the series, GHII really held its ground. 3. GH: Metallica Great setlist, great variety, solid engine, introduced X+ drums properly, and easily one of the most challenging titles to date. Biggest downside was the WT engine, but it was clear they made an effort to polish it up a but. 2. GHIII: Legends of Rock Pretty sure not putting this game at #1 has someone sharpening the old pitchfork. GHIII undoubtedly has one of the most powerful setlists out there. It introduced the idea of mo cap artists with two really big acts (plus Brett Michaels doing mo cap for Big Mouth). This may have been the one I sunk the most time into and was the one I made the staggering climb to TTFAF Expert on. I have so many fond memories of this title so why isn’t it #1? Well aside from genuinely liking another setlist even better, GHIII had a ton of over-charting. Easily one of the best engines, but there’s one game even better. 1. GH: Warriors of Rock I think it is an absolute tragedy this game was as poorly received as it was. GH had burnt itself out hardcore and when they finally put out this gem, it was simply too late. The power system you mentioned only affects campaign mode where I felt it was actually a really awesome twist on the gameplay. They took GH5’s challenges and spread them to every song in large numbers. Add that to an absolutely amazing setlist and a dash of everything good about GH5 and you have what I consider to be the best game in the series. The only real downside is that they axed the celebrity appearances.
First of all about my personal list. I pretty much only care about what songs each game has. I'm not really into features, however Clone Hero and no. 10, 11, 12 and 13 are exceptions. 1 Guitar Hero 3 - Best and most memorable songs 2 Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock - Most metal and customization 3 Guitar Hero Metallica - You can already tell from the title why Neversoft nailed this one 4 Guitar Hero 2 - As good as GH3 but less memorable songs 5 Guitar Hero World Tour - Most venues and a good songlist 6 Guitar Hero 5 - Good features but the songlist is a bit weird 7 Guitar Hero Van Halen - Lacks features from GH5 but the songs are fun to play 8 Guitar Hero Aerosmith - Great songs but too easy 9 Guitar Hero Rocks The 80's - Has good songs but too little 10 Guitar Hero Smash Hits - Songs are good but this felt like a dissapointment to me. I don't know why 11 Guitar Hero - Songs are okay but most cover versions were terrible, HOPO's barely work and no calibration 12 Band Hero - It just has bad songs 13 Guitar Hero Live - I don't wanna spend 99€ for a new guitar, no old controllers work (old guitars, drums and microphones), FMV was a bad move GH WoR was the best looking game in the series, a lot features that was in GH WoR and earlier were removed, terrible songlist I'd put Clone Hero to number 1 but since it's not an offical GH game i left it out :( But i have a reason why it should be the best one - You can literally get every single GH games and RB games to this one game very easily, making custom songs and adding it is also super easy, this game supports both the old guitar and the GHL guitar (drums are yet to be added). Though it still lacks a lot of features like animated backgrounds, saving scores, online multiplayer, leaderboards, drums/vocals/pro guitar/pro bass support and competitive modes like Face Off and battle modes. Most of these featured i mentioned will probably be added in future updates since this game is still in the alpha stage of development. But if you are more into to just playing songs i suggest you get Clone Hero and download every single GH and RB game for it, it's worth it!
Guitar hero live should not be that high on the list.
agree, also now that the servers are down, it sucks super hard.
Cranky Jones true. Also I wish guitar hero wasn’t destroyed

In my opinion, Warriors of Rock and GH3 were the best in the series and I think most people would agree with me.
Agree. I play/stream/love GH still. WoR and GH3 are easily the best. GH5 is way too high on the list lol.
same i loved warriors of rock
ACTUALLY, WOR IS MY FAVORITE
Agreed Warriors of rock was amazing
I love warriors of rock is my favorite
Gh3 is the best hands down. I think gh warriors of rock should of been in the top 5 though in my opinion. (:
warriors of rock should replace gh5
When I started I was like "if Warriors Of Rock isn't Top 3 I'm gonna flip"
Warriors of Rock was an absolute beast. Very enjoyable game with some original ideas.
GH1: Lots of Punk rock on the setlist
GH2: Lots of Rockabilly on the setlist
GHWOR: Lots of pure Metal on the setlist(Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Thrash, Nu, etc.)
GH1: Punk Rock
GH2: Rockabilly
GH3: Classic Rock
GHWT: Pop Rock
GH5: I literally have no clue what the focus of this setlist is lol
GHWOR: Metal and Hard Rock
Gh2 only has 2 rockabilly songs and one of them is a fusion genre
Stanley Smooth GH5 was indie, grunge, post modern rock
It's kind of funny, because they literally fight Heavy Metal in it
@@stanleysmooth GH3 had quite a bit of Heavy Metal tho too. Slayer, Slipknot, Black Sabbath, White Zombie, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Disturbed, do I have to keep going here?
warriors of rock should definitely be higher on the list
The setlist really is amazing.
I agree. My personal favorite GH game... along with GH: Metallica.
lmao, and GH5 is higher on the list. I own it, one of the worst set list in the series and the custom songs are mostly awful.
Yes! It took all the elements of World Tour and 5 and added special power abilities for added replayability!
For sure fury ravenous bat country and hard to see were some of the greatest I also think the ds series was amazing.
I didn't think Warriors of Rock was that bad.
Dylan Nicholson definently better then live, gh live was aweful
GH Live is a joke to the series. We could’ve got something like Guitar Hero 7, or Guitar Hero Rush
warriors of rock and world tour were my favorite, so I am a littel surprised aswell
It wasn't bad it's my second favourite
Coldfacekiller ColdFire agreed Gh Live is too hard to play for me even though I'm a pro at Gh
Warriors of Rock was amazing.
Absolutely
It might be because I'm pretty decent at GH, but I liked the more challenging setlist, and the overall feel/theme of the game was epic.
AGREED: this felt like a real mans Guitar Hero xD
Ahov i find it The Best! I still play it this Day today
You know... Metal.
Beating warriors of rock in a single night on expert was transcendental
holy hell, I'll bet lol
Number 15 Guitar Hero Rocks the '80s
The last thing you'd want in your full price Guitar Hero game is a DLC-quality setlist. But, as it turns out, that might be exactly what you get.
I read this once, thought "wait a minute", then read it with *the voice* in my head, spat out my drink laughing and woke up my cat. Well done.
It's not get, it's *"gæt"*
YOU DIDNT EVEN MENTION BATTLE MODE ON GUITAR HERO 3!
AND THE FACT THAT YOU BATTLE SLASH. TO HIS OWN SOUNDTRACK.

You battle Tom Morello as well to his own soundtrack. It’s not just slash
Warriors of Rock should be #3 imo. The powers were really fun to use, and the fast paced difficult songs were super fun to play
I played Guitar Hero Metallica for like a whole year when I first started highschool! My only criticism was the lack of Blackened in the setlist
I think that has to do with RockBand having that song. Some lisceneing rights problem probably

That's why you are only getting a "barebones" release, and have to pay through your ass for DLC-content that should have been included in the game from the beginning
And don't get me started on the "Pay2Win" strategy with microtransactions all over the place
Harmonix did Rock Band after Guitar Hero 2. Neversoft did 3 and so on. Activision was the publisher for all of them.
Aspyr did the PC and Mac versions. But wasn't counting those, sense very few people have the PC or Mac versions.
still, it used to be way better, before supply drops were the main focus
"Very few people have PC" lolwut
Guitar Hero Metallica was the game that got me into Metallica. Now I am a huge fan

Guitar Hero Live has Katy motherfucking Perry, when I played it for the first time I was so dissapointed that I had to boot GH3 as a bleach substitute
The Live portion of that game is complete ass, but GHTV has the awesome songs.
You just have to play GHTV. It is SOOOO worth it.
GH Live, while good in concept, was horribly done. I don't know what complete moron came up with the song list.
And Skrillex... while I dig the song, turning electronic music into a GH song makes it a mess to play.
Let's not forget about Eminem....

GHLIVE VS WARRIORS OF ROCK. HANDS DOWN WARRIORS OF ROCK WINS.
AND YES CAPS IS NEEDED...
I agree Cyclore

@@streetxjammingdualxscreens9228 it's a guitar hero game... The only one WITH a real story. Fuck off
nah there were "stories" w the career modes until world tour, WoR story was cringe w gene as a narrator & a sort of world of warcraft vibe w the transformations. that being said, for a GH7/8 story, each character should have its exclusive genres/venues/paths ya know? @@pirate__crewman
Warriors of Rock should be higher.
The setlist is incredible
The only game i highly disagree with is guitar hero live, id bring that down #10, as alot of songs were cut down from their origional length (looking at you hanger 18, leaving out 3/4s of your solo) and left all of the hardcore veterans players leaving another one to bite the dust, and combined that with terrible CG graphics and crowd reactions where it feels like everyone hates you.....yea it brings it down where 11 and higher are just worse
hound122100 yesss it should
Latios I'd rather have a long story note then a short one
All the more too you then, at the very least WoR allowed you to play all of the songs so you could expierenced which one you liked

Guitar Hero 3 was the first Guitar Hero game that I played. And it is by far the best!!! GH3 got me into rock music, and guitars in general! It will always be legendary!!!
Legolas i agree!bt the first video game i ever played was guitar hero world tour
Who complains about a story being too long 😂
The story wasn't long (in-fact it's a shame that there wasn't more of it). I was complaining that you had to play almost all 80 something songs to make it to the end, and as many good songs as that game has, there are A LOT of mediocre/boring songs.
I know right!
Plus many people, myself included enjoy just hopping in to play whichever song we like. But instead, you had to complete the story first before you could do that.
I still play Guitar Hero |||

2- Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
3- Guitar Hero II
4- Guitar Hero 5
5- Guitar Hero: World Tour
6- Guitar Hero: Metallica
7- Guitar Hero: On Tour
8- Guitar Hero Live
9- Guitar Hero: Van Halen
10- Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades
11- Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
12- Guitar Hero
13- Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits
14- Guitar Hero: Smash Hits
15- Guitar Hero: Rock(s) the 80s
Yep, Gh3 is the best and we all know that
Guitar hero warriors of rock is a great game and you cant lie when you got so many good songs and you got the difficult ones to I think it should be in the number 2 spot it doesnt beat guitar hero 3 by any means but it's still a great game
warriors should not be that high.
Live does not deserve to be above the original... argument is invalid
It's still a unique experience that I'll never be able to experience again, so I cherish the memories I've had with it.
i just went back and replayed Warriors of Rock, it's the first one i ever played, and i really enjoyed the campaign and how every rocker finally got something pretty unique about them, and it all culminated into them becoming like gods n shit
also GH:WoR's climactic battle was WAY cooler than 3's, imo
Here's how i would rank the games
1 Guitar Hero 3
2 Guitar Hero 2
3 Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock
4 Guitar Hero Metallica
5 Guitar Hero World Tour
6 Guitar Hero 5
7 Guitar Hero
8 Guitar Hero Greatest Hits (Smash Hits in US)
9 Guitar Hero Aerosmith
10 Guitar Hero On Tour Decades
11 Guitar Hero Rocks The 80's
12 Guitar Hero Van Halen
13 Guitar Hero On Tour
14 Band Hero
15 Guitar Hero On Tour Modern Hits
16 Guitar Hero Live
I pretty much care only about the songlists of the games, but GH Live is at the bottom cause you can't use your old guitar, drums and microphone controllers and a lot of features from WoR has been removed
Obviously you don't like GH Live, but that's okay xD I like your list though, and you're right: in the end, setlists are the most important thing :)
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR LIST WITH ME

The Knife Gamer is gh live good or bad
GH live should have been lower than world tour and warriors of rock
Exactly, it should’ve been the worst
GH live's notation is ass.
Disagree with Guitar Hero 5. It was more polished than World Tour, but the set list was poor - too many duds.
Dude that game is just wack XD
@@krisgarcia1711 the game itself is good, but the setlist is unfocused and all over the place.
Nah
I agree that set list SUCKS there are like 5 songs I ever wanna play
It has sultans of swing and that's enough for me lol
So 3 is definitely #1
but as a pretty hardcore GH fan i would put Warriors of Rock at 2 for the fact that you can Disc Import alot of other games (even though ALOT of the good tracks are left out) the Story Mode was the best since GH3. LOVED all the customization. biggest DLC library. Setlist was better than 4 and 5 imo. the only down fall to this game was the lack of Real life rockstar cameos.
3 ill say Metallica because i loved that setlist. but i thought the GH4 Engine was overused and kinda ugly for Created characters
4. Smash hits for the setlist
5. i wanna put GH2 higher but it is hard to go back to now, but it was the game that got me hooked back in the day. but ill go with GH WT...which was also a dissapointment at release. LOVED THE TOOL levels
6. So i never played 5... the setlist looked okay, but i was able to import what songs i could into GHWoR, the grahpics engine looked better.
ALSO bandhero is trash
Smash Hits for the setlist? i'm sorry, but if that were one of the main criteria, this half-assed rush job would be in my top 3.

Guitar Hero Live is honestly a disappointment to the entire series. It literally has Katey Perry in it.
my gum BALLS WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!! DISGUSTING!!!!
Are you for real???? If so WHAT. THE. HELL. HAPPENED. TO THE GUITAR HERO WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE.
Took a gander at the set list. Not a single Muse song. Gave some attention to Marmozets though which is cool. One of those warm up acts that I discovered and got really into.
Skrillex and 1 direction too, by far the WORST guitar hero ever #notmyguitarhero

That would be my top five.
I think my list would go something like this:
15) Guitar Hero
14) Guitar Hero: Live.
7) Smash Hits (didn’t seem to function well for me and it was boring as shit)
6) Warriors of Rock (mostly because I never got the chance to buy it and I’m bitter about it lol)
5) World Tour (I hated the new art style and the set list never caught my eye really, but the drums were enough to bring it up a bit)
4) Guitar Hero Rocks The 80’s (because I played it a lot as a kid and got it for christmas in 2010 or 2011 and played the entire thing in one day and had a ton of fun with it)
3) Guitar Hero 5 (it did the full band thing better than world tour and had a new look that was hard to get used to but I ended up loving to death)
2) Guitar Hero 2 (what a fantastic game for real)
1) Guitar Hero 3.
Yeah, GH live was way to high on this list

You're insane mate, just get Clone Hero
1. Guitar Hero : III
2. Guitar Hero : WoR
3. Guitar Hero : Metallica
Honestly my top three. Seeing WoR so low on the list just hurts man
Agreed for sure
I can see that
Man, I fucking loved GH3. This game was absolutely influential for getting me into playing real guitars later in my life
That's AMAZING. I didn't know that was possible
can you make a list of worst to best rock band games
say please
BathroomGamers sorry
All you gotta do is comment please, and then I'll do it :)
BathroomGamers please
there now go do it! :)
THANK YOU FOR SAYING PLEASE FOR HIM!
Challenge accepted :)
LOL. Live and 5 better than warriors of rock ???
live actually fucking sucks
Eudes Quittelier 5 is pretty awesome
Chillabyte live is great. Sure it drastically changed the Guitar Hero formula, but at least it's something new. And not the same exact game every time. *cough Rock Band cough*
Warriors of rock was by far the worst
Railen Herman GH Live fucking sucks because of its obligatory microtransactions and poor setlist, and boring campaign
Meanwhile rb4 lets you use the dlc songs from previous games, it's compatible with older instruments, better songs, and it does't force you to pay coins for playing (like TV mode)
I had GH live and i had instant regret for not getting rb4 instead
And let me tell you that i was a Die Hard GH fan that played every single game and that was a huge dissapointment
Guitar hero live is the worst out of the gh series imo, hopefully they return to their old roots.
Trinity Irvin wrong
Trinity Irvin totally agreed
There are already 15 fucking guitar hero games with the same control scheme, why do there need to be more?
i agree, didnt really enjoy guitar hero live.
I remember unwrapping this game with the red guitar 🥺 man I miss being a kid and having that feeling when you unwrap a gift and it’s the item you’ve been wanting all year.
guitar hero Metallica
yes.
Good thing their latest album kicked ass. And their tour. Which I saw on Mother's Day. With my mother.
Your mother is a cool lady
Generic Gaming Commentator 16250 saw them in Dallas, it was freaking awesome
I went to see them in Phoenix for my first concert!! Fucking amazing!🤘🤘
Guitar Hero Aerosmith is underrated I loved that one so much
Joe Perry is seriously one of the most underrated guitarists
Bro i no ITS SO GOOOOOOOOD
You’re wrong. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has a strumming engine which is horrible. Plus not many people play Guitar Hero Aerosmith. It’s not the best, just saying.
Always On The Run is amazing
I was like 8 when I got the game and I’ve been listening to Aerosmith ever since.
I still have guitar hero 3: Legends of Rock.. my original copy, still plays and works, and play A LOT
“GH3 features some of the most fun songs you could play on the guitar”
Black Magic Woman: Am I a joke to you?
@Santiago Uribe My favorite song from GH5 is "The Rock Show."
Guitar hero live is the worst
Guitar hero Metallica and gh3 are the best
Metallica really suprised me with how much the band wanted the movement, gestures, and stage effects for each song. Next to Warriors of Rock it’s my favorite because you can learn of some of Metallica’s most famous songs, learn the riffs and add them to your music category. I have bad hand endurance when it comes to these GH games, but able to play their setlist on Hard mode is more that satisfing to me. It feels like the perfect pace, I wish they had more AJFA/Kill ‘Em songs incorporated but it felt right with graphics and song choices... GH picked right when they went with Metallica :)
Down with guitar hero live #notmyguitarhero
T pose
Literally. Guitar Hero TV is shutting down in December lmao
i genuinely hate that the guitar hero live controller is the only one i have at the moment, I HATE THAT GAME!!!
You Can Play This Game In A Potato Grown In Europe
Yeah, for me the franchise ended at Warriors Of Rock, with a massive bang!
Aerosmith is one of the most influential rock bands of the 70s. Joe Perry is a legend on the guitar.
"Why Aerosmith"
Because Aerosmith is AWESOME! Aerosmith is ICONIC!
Would've been better if it had the rest of the band not just guitar, but still, Aerosmith is AMAZING! My only complaint is that there aren't enough songs in the setlist. So much more could've been added.
I thought it was a amazing title and plenty of good songs
though a bit too much filler but I really liked the overall game though clearly it wasn't well received by most players
Chilli3 Gaming The TV mode is the best part, but it will suck when they inevitably shut down the servers and we wont have TV mode anymore.
don't they let you download songs on TV mode to play offline?
GH3 is inifinites of times better than GHL
You said it!
#15: Guitar Hero Live
MidgetMan037 Gaming Gh live looked cool at first, but when it came out it was a letdown.
Failure is the wrong word
BathroomGamers It was not as good as it looked
MidgetMan037 Gaming yesssssss
ye, how much did they pay to appear high in a youtube list :p
The reason Why I love GHWT Is because Ozzy, Zakk, Tool, Interpol and Dream Theater
Edit: But Thanks to GH3 I Know
Killswitch Engage
In Flames
Slayer
Metallica
Slipknot
Poison
Muse
The Killers
Rolling Stones
Black Sabbath
Pearl Jam
Queens Of The Stone Age
Kiss
Dragonforce
Linkin Park
Rage Against The Machine
Disturbed
I became a Rock/Metal fan thanks to Guitar Hero, but I'm very noob in The Game, but I can Sweep Picking On Guitar XD
Yea, pretty much sums up the list. But in my case some re-arrangements are needed
This is my top 5:
5. Guitar Hero World Tour
4. Guitar Hero II
3. Guitar Hero 5
2. Guitar Hero Metallica
1. Guitar Hero III
I would have chosen GH: Metallica in 3rd place, maybe even 2nd because it's just too comfortable to play but I agree on GH III being the first place
Top 3
1:Guitar hero 3
2:Warriors of Rock
3:World of Tour
TheUnpoppedBalloon I so agree right!?
I have a feeling that in 2023, Guitar Hero live would be moved lower down the list because of the shutdown of TV mode
100% correct. You got it.
hey im so glad your doing these kind of videos I love top tens and favorite games in series whould love to see you do the same for resident evil
DO THIS VIDEO FOR RESIDENT EVIL?!?!?!?! OOOOoooooOOOO I like the sound of that; thanks for the idea xD If I end up doing the video, I'll give you credit for the idea :)
BathroomGamers no worrys bro just want to see your channel grow I love ur content and happy to help
Your support means so much to me. You're doing a fantastic job: thank you :)
BathroomGamers hey, uh yeah but where is part 2 of the history of Guitar Hero and Rock Band?
I currently don't have access to my Guitar Hero or Rock Band gear, so I'm not able to work on the video yet. Script and formal layout has been planned though, so it's only a matter of time. Thanks for checking up on me!
Warriors of rock is the best (my opinion)
Is that obs? 11:48
oh yeah lol just noticed that weird
Planet Orange Gaming what?
WOAH, that is WEIRD.
TheBlazeMasterYT what's weird?
There's an obs symbol on the drumset.
I used to play it so often that I could do some songs behind my back on medium, Hard behind the back is a lil much for me 😂
Guitar Hero got me to start playing real guitar.
live had to be the worst
no the mobile ones are
Subscribe to Stupidshitshow new i liked live, it was actually a challenge
I got the guitar and game for five bucks. GH TV made it worth it for me, but I would've never paid full retail price. It feels soulless compared to past games. I dunno about worst GH game ever, though. There are the dumbed down mobile games, the DS games that I can't play with my fatass hands, and GH1, which was cool, but unplayable compared to the later games. At least live is playable.
I had GH rocks 80s on ps2. Ir wasnt that bad though
Agreed, and rock the 80’s is better than most of what activision did
I love how u make vids containing new AND old games! These days everyone focuses on new, new, new but some of the best (and worst) games are older. Just one of the many reasons myself and many others love your channel.
That is absolutely 100% true :) And thank you for the love
True, i still play old games in 2017 and enjoy them.
Random Channel so do I. its fun to play the ps2 and nes in 2017
2:36 "This game has become unplayable"
And here is 15 year old me becoming a new fan starting from the first game and thinking it is perferct.
Even on modern TVs it runs perfectly well.
Don't listen to him...it's awesome and should have been first
Now i apreciate GH much more, it inspired me to start playing real guitar, i can't thank it enough
GH3 and GH WOR have made me get into the metal/rock genre
SAME HERE!
R.I.P TV mode on GH LIVE :(
TechTalkHD the only good part of that game :/ i had to buy a wii and gh world tour after they shut that down.
TechTalkHD wait what happened?
@@tiredbby thry shut down the servers due to lack of people playing it.
Shit..almost buy it..thanx
On GH live gameplay you can still play solo like previous ones correct?
@@biggerchungus7 I wasn't saying world tour was hard i was saying warriors of rock was hard since it has some harder songs than in gh3
“Guitar hero live” should not be in the Top.5 it was absolutely shit. Sorry but I disagree. But I agree with Guitar Hero II & III.
ItsNoahScott IN MY OPINION WORLD TOUR SHOULDA BEEN NUMBER 1
ItsNoahScott estupid nostalgia :)
The list was based on cultural impact yet you put all DS versions (which should be #15-#13) above the game that kicked off the entire series?
To be fair, the DS was pretty hard to do. You have to give props to the developers for even managing to make a Guitar Hero for DS, which is pretty damn fun once you've played it/gotten used to the carpal tunnel.
also GH Aerosmith ranked above the original too lol
The list is based on gameplay
WoR > Live
Absolutely! Live needs to be at the bottom!
you're partly right for rock the 80's, it surely wasn't the one to really change anything, and you can see that they didn't try to do much with it. However, it's also the game with the best music of them all, and since guitar hero is all about music, I believe it should've ranked higher
this is how I would rank the list
1. guitar hero warriors of rock
2. guitar hero 2
3. guitar hero 3
4. guitar hero metallica
5. guitar hero smash hits
6. guitar hero 5
7. guitar hero
8. guitar hero van halen
9. guitar hero on tour decades
10. guitar hero encore rocks the 80s
11. guitar hero aerosmith
12. guitar hero on tour
13. guitar hero world tour
14. guitar hero on tour modern hits
15. guitar hero live
the reason world tour is so low on the list is because the engine was terrible and it felt like the game was rushed. I put warriors of rock at number 1 because I love almost every song in the game plus it's difficult and it's the best when you also have dlc and imports
I agree with World Tour feeling rushed (also yes: the engine isn't great). And Warriors of Rock does have a FANTASTIC setlist :)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR LIST :)
no problem
Austin the gamer i literally couldn't even do it
rivxrd 666 yess. Thank you. Warriors of rocks should be number 1. I cant believe he ranked guitar live higher than warriors of rock
rivxrd 666 THANK YOU!
"At #15, GH: Rocks the 80's"
Stopped watching there.
Rocks the 80s has a great soundtrack, but also has the smallest soundtrack in the entire series and is a GH2 reskin with less content, adding absolutely nothing to the series in terms of game content. It’s objectively kind of trash as a stand-alone game. Fun trash, but trash.
Nah it's garbage proof that fanboys let their nostiga blind them
that one was trash but how was live not at the bottom
Brogan 13 the only thing good about live is the huge song list
Rock of 80s sucks
4 words: Guitar Hero Live SUUUUUUUUUUuuuuucked.
SO TRUE
3 words: THE GAME'S TRASH!!!
Yeah the Rock Band 3 Pro guitar controller was easier to use than the Jenked thing Guitar Hero Live spat out.
I read it with Stevie T's voice xD
Warriors of Rock was my favorite, without a doubt! But I’m also torn between GH3 and Metallica. So many good memories with those too!!!
Aerosmith is actually good tho. I still play it.
same with WOR and world tour
and Live needs to be near the bottom...
Another one that doesn't like live ;)
because its bad ;p
I liked live...
Damn, son. Rocks the 80's was like my second favorite guitar hero game
Yeah, its my favorite Guitar Hero game too
Rocks the 80s was awesome. My favorite song was Electric Eye
You stupid
It's not even a game loo
14. GH: Rocks the 80’s
Objectively the worst. Setlist is ok, if it wasn’t only 30 songs and sold at full price.
13. Band Hero
Garbage setlist, no real difficulty on guitar (Lifeline by Papa Roach is the hardest one), and really just a glorified GH5 expansion.
12. Guitar Hero
Game hardly works by today’s standards. Solid setlist, albeit short. Needs more sauce.
11. GH: On Tour (series)
Cool idea, but little more than that. Meh setlists, clunky playability, and seriously who even asked for this?
10. GH Aerosmith
Good game. Uses GHIII engine, which is always a good thing. Great setlist, Aerosmith was a natural fit for the last guitar-only title. Brought down by a short setlist and limited variety (a common problem for band-centric games.)
9. GH Van Halen
Take everything good about GHA and apply it to a full band game featuring Van Halen and you have everything great about GH:VH. Slightly more varied setlist, but little else to talk about.
8. GH Live
This was a really cool idea... that only worked so well. It was a refreshing take and brought the series back, but its failure is likely a death blow to the franchise for good. The fact the Live setlist was mediocre and TV is permanently offline means this game is dead in the water, but it was fun while it lasted.
7. GH Smash Hits
Underrated as hell. While it is just another glorified expansion pack for World Tour, something we saw far too many of, the setlist was undoubtedly one of the best we’ve ever had. It brought all the fan favorites from the guitar-only era into a full band game and really, if it had been on a better engine, it would’ve been so much better.
6. GH: World Tour
The award for best standalone setlist goes to! Yeah, World Tour had a lot of gameplay issues, but the setlist and sheer star power in this title more than make up for it.
5. GH5
As a polar opposite to World Tour, I found GH5’s setlist was maybe spread a little TOO thin in the name of variety. But the engine was godlike and would be used until the series’s inevitable demise. Some of the new features were exciting and all the star power really made this game stand out, but the setlist was still a little but of a bummer.
4. GHII
Just missing Top 3, GHII has a killer setlist, but a questionable engine. While FAR more polished than the original and entirely responsible for the series blowing up like it did, there were still a lot of issues. The UI needed some work, too, but for only the second game in the series, GHII really held its ground.
3. GH: Metallica
Great setlist, great variety, solid engine, introduced X+ drums properly, and easily one of the most challenging titles to date. Biggest downside was the WT engine, but it was clear they made an effort to polish it up a but.
2. GHIII: Legends of Rock
Pretty sure not putting this game at #1 has someone sharpening the old pitchfork.
1. GH: Warriors of Rock
I think it is an absolute tragedy this game was as poorly received as it was.
1 Guitar Hero 3
- Best and most memorable songs
2 Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock
- Most metal and customization
3 Guitar Hero Metallica
- You can already tell from the title why Neversoft nailed this one
4 Guitar Hero 2
- As good as GH3 but less memorable songs
5 Guitar Hero World Tour
- Most venues and a good songlist
6 Guitar Hero 5
- Good features but the songlist is a bit weird
7 Guitar Hero Van Halen
- Lacks features from GH5 but the songs are fun to play
8 Guitar Hero Aerosmith
- Great songs but too easy
9 Guitar Hero Rocks The 80's
- Has good songs but too little
10 Guitar Hero Smash Hits
- Songs are good but this felt like a dissapointment to me. I don't know why
11 Guitar Hero
- Songs are okay but most cover versions were terrible, HOPO's barely work and no calibration
12 Band Hero
- It just has bad songs
13 Guitar Hero Live
- I don't wanna spend 99€ for a new guitar, no old controllers work (old guitars, drums and microphones), FMV was a bad move GH WoR was the best looking game in the series, a lot features that was in GH WoR and earlier were removed, terrible songlist
I'd put Clone Hero to number 1 but since it's not an offical GH game i left it out :( But i have a reason why it should be the best one
- You can literally get every single GH games and RB games to this one game very easily, making custom songs and adding it is also super easy, this game supports both the old guitar and the GHL guitar (drums are yet to be added).
They need to make Guitar Hero Dream Threater
That's... actually not a bad idea.
Just get Clone Hero
That would be cool!!
I disagree with Metallica, should be third, and warriors of rock was way better than 4 and 5
That could work too!
@@BathroomGamers literally watching this video again because I've been a clone hero player for a month. Best franchise ever.
Nah dude.
1) Warriors of Rock
2) Metallica
3) GH3
4) World Tour
5) GH5
Oodles Gambino i diss agree with gh5 to be honest i hated gh5
I think 1. Guitar hero 3 legends of rock 2.guitar hero Metallica 3. Guitar hero 2
