  • I take a short cruise and talk about my first ride on a Can-Am Spyder. This is a 2024 model. Since I don't have any previous experience, and no other trikes to compare it to, I didn't. I just briefly went over how a noobie feels on three wheels. If you want to check out this ride for yourself, call my friend Spencer down at Blackmans Cycle in Emmaus, PA! www.blackmanscycle.com/
If you want to start recording your rides, I have a link for you. The insta360 AcePro was my helmet cam, and the oneRS was my handlebar camera. Buy a camera with my link, it will be a great help for the channel, and you get a free gift! Thanks! www.insta360.com/sal/ace-pro?...

I rode 2 wheels for over 15 years and now I have the Spyder RTL. You know what...might not be the same feel as 2 wheels but that wind therapy sure is the same and now that I'm in muy 70's, I can still enjoy the ride and feel safe. Oh, and you can downshift if you want by pressing the backside of the paddle shifter...at least it's that way on the RTL's.

that is awesome!! When I get my hands on another one, I’ll do an in depth review. First time riding one, I didn’t feel like I was qualified. I did enjoy myself, and you are so right. getting out and having adventures is what it’s really about. One more wheel making it easier is a wonderful option. I knew about the downshift option, but I didn’t mention it. I wasn’t ready to do that either. It was so quiet, I had a hard time telling if it was ready to shift. I had a difficult time seeing the rpm’s on the dash. I believe that I just saw a fully manual Can-Am over at Blackmans right now!

    This isn't a 2024, 2024's have the larger display.

Yes, well spotted. I apologized for that earlier.one of the reasons I didn’t do an in depth review. I just don’t know enough about them. I will in the future. I was supposed to ride it in 23, and it got delayed. I’m so used to doing current year models, I made a mistake. Sorry Chris!

oh man, you have to do it! it was a lot of fun. Not the same sensation as a motorcycle, but more comfortable. it’s just getting out and having adventures. fresh air! You see things differently on the back of a bike. one of the things I love about it! You can tow with it, so you could tow your chair behind you. I would buy you one if I was wealthy, but I’m pretty broke. Crazy to say, but it can be a lifelong passion, it is for me for sure.
I was told I’d probably be in a wheelchair by now. I was lucky, but the future is unsure. When I rode that Can-Am, that’s what I was thinking. If I end up in a wheelchair, or even back using a walker, it will be three wheels for me. Keep in touch, I’d love to know if you decide to do it. I’m in Pa, I’ll ride with you. later!

I am 57 F disable, d10 to d12 spinal injury after a car crash in 1976 and wheelchair bound. I ride a F3S 2015. It's a blast. Saved for some 6 years to get the dough to get the byke. Pulled the trigger 2 years ago on a used Can-Am. I am so happy I did it, just love the feeling and the freedom it gives me. Hope you can fulfill your dream like I did mine.

@@nathaliedufresne5778 I was born with mine, spina bifida. ive liked anything on two wheels for as long as i can remember, never thought i would get to ride though until i saw these and other trikes. the only problem i have , as i said , is money, and finding a place to put the thing lol. already got a car in my small driveway.

My wife has had back surgery & is waiting for knee & possibly hip surgery down the road. She loves our Spyder & gets excited every time we go for a ride! I too was on the fence for a long time due to the price, but after seeing what happened to folks during Covid. So decided to bit the bullet & take some money from my pension fund & buy one 2022 Spyder RTL chrome model. Life is too short, so go out & enjoy your life while you can that’s our mindset! We are in our senior years now & our loving being out with the wind in your face & meeting so many people with the same passion. Go for it, you won’t regret it! Regards Stephen Alberta Canada.

So those 3 wheeled Harleys aren't motorcycles? Then what do you call them? I really hate the narrative that you only ride a Can Am when you get old or become handicapped.

Well they aren’t Harley Davidsons, they are trikes, reverse trikes. I did say that they were for anyone, that it’s all about getting out and having adventures. I did lean into the fact that they are a great option for the disabled. The reply’s have great examples of both, seniors and disabled people who love their cam-ams. I think it’s a positive thing. A wonderful thing! I was told I’d be in a wheel chair, thankfully that didn’t happen. That is what made me focus on that! Thanks for checking out my vid!

      Isn't that a 2023 model?

Yes, yes it is! nice catch, my bad. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t do a full review on this Can-am. I don’t know enough about them. That was my mistake. They told me it was a 23. I’m used to taking out new models, and I was supposed to take this out last year. something happened and I couldn’t ride it. Very unprofessional of me. sorry!!!!!

I think people such as you who decide to not call it a motorcycle may not actually know what a motorcycle is.
    1. It requires a helmet.
    2. It has handlebars not a steering wheel.
    3. It's rated as CC's not horsepower.
    4. It is belt driven.
    5. In some states it requires motorcycle insurance and license.
    6. It does NOT have an A/B/C pillars like cars.
    7. It comes with motorcycle tires, while yes people do change them, those tires are designed differently.
    8. There are no seat belts.
Need I say more? Educate yourself and please use these notes as you continue your days on MOTORCYCLES.

I don’t think I was being in anyway offensive. I was not talking down about it. I like it. I hope your day gets better. I love you.
