  • In this tutorial, you will see how to create a Master document and insert multiple Subdocuments into it. This is great for working with very large documents, or on documents where different people have to work on various sections of a big document.

Hello, I live in Guyana and I have started a little home business where I do photocopying and printing.I have looked at most of your tutorials with Microsoft word 2007 and it has been very helpful to me.I went into this business not anything about word.THANKS!!

Thanks, this was very helpful. I have been using the Outline view for a week now and I keep deleting hyperlinks and losing whole sections and whatever the program is driving me mad but that is not your fault: it was this kind video that got me started on the process and I will look now to see how I can sort it out. My work was not lost, it was all hiding in subfiles so there is hope out there! I need to learn how to work with this beast once I have created it so nicely.

Hi Richard - great instruction. Yes, you're videos are better than Microsoft!! 80) I tried building a master document a few years ago, and it simply did not work; however, I'm going to give it another go. Thanks mate, Cheers Rick

I use the method above it worked fine, until I closed the document. After reopening the document it shows hyperlinks only so you have missed a step some where on how to get the document to show correctly after you have saved and closed it.

Thank you very very much, that was a great and very helpful tutorial! I am writing a thesis (each chapter in a separate document) and I am using EndNote softwere for referencing which makes the ref. automatically appears at the end of each document. when I insert the sub documents, the ref. appear after each chapter too, but I want it to appear all at once at the end of the document, is there a solution for this? Thank you very much in advance.

thank you for the video. If I was to send one of the sub documents to a colleague and they amend it and send it back, how are these changes incorporated back into the master document? Louise

Good point. Ironic how a large corporation's mediocrity in one area helps run other parts of society.
      Anyway thanks.
