Someone in my office set-up a master document and now we are having problems trying to pop out a complete subdocument into it's own document. It is 42 pages and only the first 3 come over into a new document. It appears there are different boxes within the subdocument inside the master document. Do you have any ideas to help or perhaps have a video on troubleshooting something such as this issue?
What would be the best way to have sub-documents travel and print with file? I have excel files I want to reference within a word doc and want them to travel and print along with the document. Am I to embed them instead?
Thank you for the video. Very useful. I have sent the master document to a colleague and it arrived as a blank document. Would you know why that is the case? I am also now trying to save the document and get a msg saying that it is not possible to save it. any tips why this may be happening?
does that linking from the subdocument work (eg 4:15) if the collaborator works on their own desktop (with different directory structures etc)? I would assume no? In which case, how would one incorporate collaborative work? - should I save over the (old) subdocument file in my computer w that of the collaborators (using the same file name as that used in the master)? Thanks
I have been looking for a way to glue my chapters hopelly this can it.
Will references, and heading correctly renumbered in the master document?

Is this also possible in combination with excel? Because most of the time i want to insert a table or graph.
Finally I learned how to do it -- Thanks!
Welcome 🙂

How can I get a Master Document to print the sub-documents with the formatting of the sub-documents?
Are there any changes to this process in Word 2019?
Nope

Welcome 😊
It's not working with me - inserting doesn't do anything and I can't save a subdoc - is there a limitation in Office365?
Thanks for the great tutorial. I have been trying to find a video that will help me to gain this skill.
Welcome 🙂
