Yep~ always buy an extra on sale for doing this exact same thing. Absolutely our favorite, & such a great way to get in my protein & fat since I cannot eat enough meat in one sitting most days~ dental work plus small stomach from too many years of grazing I guess. I also really like slicing up eye of round for leaner crisps, which I then dip in soft butter, queso, or alfredo sauce. *Danny just reminded we've done rump & sirloin roasts too~ thx dear.=) I haven't bought an electric one yet, but did purchase a manual, frozen meat slicer for $25 when I first started making meat crisps. Didn't know if it was going to be something I did a lot, initially, so I went the conservative route~ more $$ for meat, right?! Anyhow, 2 yrs later, I definitely want an electric slicer, so I'm asking folks about theirs, if you don't mind & have a couple minutes? Such as; which brand, can you set it as thin as you want, clean up, etc~ any other pros & cons you can think of. Feel free to add to your links if you do recommend it, & I'll shop through if we opt for that one. Thanks so much KandiSammy in AZ
