    I think that a real sushi master doesn't worry about the instruments, you're just trying to make the amateur sushi lovers buy instruments that are not really important and aren't necessary

    • @VilCoocatois
      @VilCoocatois 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Nico Sanabria Nico Sanabria Nico Sanabria He hasn't made those products, he's not trying to force us to buy them. Of course a real sushi chef won't need them, and they're not "necessary", but it can make the job much easier (like the rolling mat) and I think it's actually a good way to help the beginners

    • @TheNicosanabriashow
      @TheNicosanabriashow 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      VilCoocatois well that's a good opinion, but I'd like to learn how to make all that stuff and not where can I get items who made the process for me

      How To Make Sushi there is too much political correctness these days. Surely putting ‘Asian theme’ is positive as it draws people in via the music if they like it.

    😂 I have all three types of chopsticks in my home. Maybe less of the cheap ones haha 😂

    • @liorlimjiexin4232
      @liorlimjiexin4232 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      But the wooden type is the best to use! Metal chopsticks are much more slippery and not as nice to use!

    • @aquaticcreature88
      @aquaticcreature88 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lior Lim I agree. I have some metal ones as well and they are way to slippery. you need a lot of pressure to keep them traction so your hands can get tired. I prefer bamboo chopsticks that are a little longer than normal and a bit thicker.

    • @liorlimjiexin4232
      @liorlimjiexin4232 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      aquaticcreature88 same! Mine are wooden long and thicker at the top and like normal sized all the way down!

    Absolutely love your videos! Very unique videos along with informative ones. I think that the reason the sushi made in the Sushi Bazooka is difficult to push out at first is that the instructions state, right at the beginning, to very slightly oil the inside of both sides. I have this particular one and the slightest application of oil is all that is needed and the sushi slides out easy peezy!

    @Nightbird. 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I purchased two of those sushi roll makers a few years ago thinking I would use them all the time since I love sushi. Used it twice..and now put away. The rolls don't come out that great..you can't really put many ingredients in them nor create really stuffed rolls..and cleaning that thing is a pain..even if you put it in the dishwasher. I can create much better quality rolls and much faster doing it the old fashioned way. But I will be buying that spatula, rice gloves and anti-microbial mat..so thanks for the links!

    Bringing your own metal chopsticks to a sushi place? What the hell man, it's like bringing your own silver to a restaurant because the stainless steel cutlery they offer doesn't cut it (literally... okay puns aside) for you which I'd say is a rather rude thing to do

    I would like to make a positive suggestion and I hope its not taken negatively. What about instead of lumping a bunch of gadgets into a single video. Make a video about making sushi and either in the middle or at the end of the video, feature 1 gadget. In that scenario you could have featured these gadgets over multiple videos.

  • @freakcamera

    Most of the tools are nice and the video is quite useful, but that "sushi bazooka" is an absolute aberration. The sushi comes out way too compressed and with a disproportional amount of rice and the tool itself is a hassle to handle, would never use that.
    But I subscribed anyway, thanks for the tips.

    The official way to eat sushi is with your hands, so bringing metal chopsticks to eat sushi won't make you look like a sushi master

    • @MakeSushi1
      @MakeSushi1  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well there are some health departments forcing sushi restaurants to stop using bare hands in food preparation, but besides that, this could help some novice sushi makers since it makes manipulating sushi rice much easier :)
