I love death, metallica, pantera, black sabbath and so on.. Do you think its worth for me to upgrade to this amp? Į currently own boss katana 50 mk1. I dream of tube amp
Hi! I think it's very personal. Chuck Schuldiner recorded on Valvestates, Dimebag on solid state Randall so... It's worth a try. Boss katana, line6 and other sounds really good, but for me reaction and sound of tube amp is "richer". I recorded this video with smartphone deliberately. I want to show how it sound raw. If you like tone of this amp you have to try it. Buy a second hand tube amp (Randall, Blackstar etc.) and good boost like Ibanez TS or Boss sd. You should be satisfied :)
@@tonmi8553 thanks for the reply. my guitar teacher recommended me this randal (450euro in our country) bevause i told him i wanted blackstar ht 40 6l6 for 900eur. that is my dream, man, to have decent hi gain tube amp and a tubescreamer clone :) i think it is all i need for now. dont get me wrong. katana is a beast for a digital modelling amp, but a tube is tube :)
@@tonmi8553 I like the way you recorded it, I hate when I watch an amp or pre amp review and they use cabs sims pr di or whatever through their computer, I dont give a phuck what they sound like through a computer. I want to hear what they sound like in person, live in the room.
@@tonmi8553 Right on. I boost mine with and overdrive on either green or red... After I watch this and seeing how low your gain is I turned my gain down and my boost up and it's pretty ripping
@@tankdarla637 I have Engl Fireball and it has a ton of gain. It sounds good without booster but when you turn gain over 12 o'clock it's become muddy . Too much gain is not good.
Nice. Pięknie

You are on the green od channel the whole time?
Yes. You can see that gain is on 9 o'clock so main character of distortion comes from Tubescreamer. You can use red od channel for boost.
