      @@FocusRx tbh there's not a lot about pharm d on youtube . From what I've seen and read so far ,they're all complaining about the lack of job opportunities and the really poor pay grade. I'm doing the course in india rn but I plan to move somewhere else . Again ,thank you .

    Thank you so much for taking the time to help us better understand industry. You have a nice way to simplify all this knowledge that we may not be exposed during pharmacy school.

    I’m doing an academic fellowship at a large research university. I thought about doing industry fellowship because I enjoy the type of work I do in an office setting. I really didn’t know about the types work you can do in industry. After I attended a webinar from Purdue, I wasn’t really industry at all. I felt like it was more focused on the drug and not on the patients. I’m thinking maybe managed care could be what I’m looking for. I’m still lost in what I want to do.

    I have a B.Pharm degree and would love to pursue a career as an R&D scientists. First, I'd like to study for a master's degree but not certain of which area is most appropriate and relevant to my goals. I've seen tons of Master's degree in some areas like Pharmaceutical science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, molecular biology, drug discovery and development, Pharmaceutical biotechnology etc. Can I get some advice, please? Thanks

    Hey! Your videos are so clarifying! 😊
    At the clinical development, do we work with the assays, tests and experiments, or it is a more bureaucratic position with documents and organization of the trials? Thank you 👍🏻

    • @FocusRx
      @FocusRx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s more for the document side of things. Actual wet lab work (assays, experiments, etc) happens in R&D (research and development) but PharmDs don’t tend to go into R&D

    I'm graduating this May and my only experience is in retail. I'm not doing a fellowship, but I'd like to get into medical affairs, specifically drug info/informatics, either in industry or for a federal agency. Do you have any advice or info for me?

    • @FocusRx
      @FocusRx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      look for entry level positions within medical writing at pharmaceutical companies and CROs. I know this video is about other options outside of a fellowship, but the options I state in this video are still relevant in this case and would be helpful for you I think so I think it'd be worth checking out: th-cam.com/video/VWQm7R7AX98/w-d-xo.html

    Can anyone suggest which is the best to explore for fresh graduates pharmD? Which one has better future?

    • @FocusRx
      @FocusRx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally, all are the same, as your growth really depends on your interest and how much you put into the work. Generally, most PharmDs go into Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, HEOR, and Pharmacovigilance, but now a lot of PharmDs are getting extremely successful in Marketing, Clinical Development, and Medical Writing. It really depends on where your experience lies, what you put time into, and then after that just how you grow within the department. Many people also switch between departments -- bottom line it's all possible!
