If the 2nd silo is the same as the first, that means IT is at level 19 in the 2nd as well, meaning there are 120-ish floors currently flooded in the 2nd silo, that is a column of water over 1 km deep. Juliette will have to do some serious diving to reach a door that is below level 144...

*I'm going to wait until January 2025 when all the episodes will be released because I hate waiting every week to watch an episode and in all honesty, this is meant to be watched consecutively*
@@tji7046The major events so far have been happening. Otherwise the journey from plot point to plot point is different. Some of the more pointless and boring parts cut altogether.
I'm imagining all of the rebellions happened at once and some succeeded and some failed. And we find out later how they all coordinated because them discovering each other(other silos) was part of uncovering the truths that led to the rebellions. That's one way they could go with it anyway. Those silos have got to be connected with at least communications, if not actual tunnels, most of which have probably been sealed and/or hidden.
My thought is that this uprising of this other silo took place decades ago. The young boy we saw - the child of the guy leading the rebellion - appears to go outside, but we never see him go outside. I assumed the guy behind the door that Juliette encounters is the young boy grown up.
The guy behind the door is not Russell. The actor of the guy behind the door is Steve Zahn, who was announced to be in season 2. Even only seeing the eye area, you can tell that is actor Steve Zahn and not the Russel character.
at the begining when she entered the silo and broke the suit to breath ... why did she do that ? the toxic air from outside got into her suit somehow ? and why did she pour some wierd liquid on her suit afterwards ? I didn't understand that scene
1. The air tank on her suit was running out of air; it was very small. 2. She poured the liquid over her suit to wash off whatever toxins she may have brought in from outside. She picked up those two containers in what looked like the cafeteria and I think it was coffee or tea. That wouldn't really stop most toxins, but I think the ones outside are airborne and wouldn't be toxic on the suit anyway.
She didn’t pour weird liquid on her suit, she poured water, but it’s from the silo that has been opened and clearly isn’t working any more so the water is off and dirty. The outside air is probably corrosively toxic so it eats the suit, probably why nobody ever got further than over the hill.
@@conors4430 that;s not the reason nobody got further over the hill - all other people sent outside to clean had holes in their suit - it was intentional and that's why they died so fast from toxic air entering their suits
My theory was the rebellion in that silo was the one that happened 100 years ago. I'm assuming there is a way for Silos to talk to each other. So, the people in the og silo are being a fed a story of a rebellion and it was averted. And they do it to avoid the rebellion that was succesful in that silo
The guy behind the door isn’t Russel, in the beginning of the epsiode the guy holding the flag said to his wife “my hand slipped, I didn’t mean to” Implying he killed Russel…. Also online Steve Zhan character is named solo
That’s not Russel. Also, I doubt that’s Savannah in the background. Savannah has a few tallish buildings but not pointy skyscrapers like that. I think it’s more likely Atlanta.
IMHO, "My hand slipped" Is in relation to earlier in the episode where he says take Russel alive, and then we have a seen where he throws someone, maybe acedently, down the shaft. Was that Russel?
My theory why the door was closed when the silo flooded the air was pushed upwards creating a force of air that managed to close and seal the door that's why it was like vacuum sealed and when she opened it eventually u could see or hear the vacuum released
I think the original Russell was killed by the sheriff, but they have some sort of cloning technique to keep the silo masters genes. That's probably what the pale eye means
That guy at the end is not Russell, neither it's a kid, that was Rebellion's leader's son, who died outside. What significant is this new character has heterochromia, which would probably tie in in a second episode.
2:57 The eyes are different because it’s a different person. The character Russel died, he was thrown off the bridge during the skirmish. The person in the vault is likely the little boy who brought the note to the sheriff at the start of the episode 😊
Thanks for warning about the trailer dive so I had time to stop the video. I am going to avoid the trailers as I want to go into each new episode without any expectations. And I agree with the other folks who said Russell and the guy behind the door aren’t the same person. Their eyes don’t look like they are the same person. But great breakdown otherwise (as usual).
Anyone noticed that Apple changed the aspect ratio of season 2 episode wherein season 1 had a bigger screen which elevates the experience to watch a sci-fi show. Apple started cost cutting, the same way they did with Foundation S2. Do like the comment if you’ve also noticed it!
I did not read any of the books. All the silos have to be connected one way or another. I bet that the toxins outside lost their poisonous effect to a certain extent. I also believe that Russell did not spend too much time outside because he would have shut that door and not allowing anyone from entering. Unless he has a camera and can see who goes in and out.

So if I was to read the books it wouldn't really be linked?
@@tji7046 it would but in a slightly different way
@@tji7046The major events so far have been happening. Otherwise the journey from plot point to plot point is different. Some of the more pointless and boring parts cut altogether.
Hooked from first episode, juliette is a beast ❤❤
Very excited to see Knox swing that stick. Very satisfying
Guy locked in room is the episodes tiltle is the engineer as in beginning of the episode the engineer sent up a message to the rebels
Great review
My thought is that this uprising of this other silo took place decades ago. The young boy we saw - the child of the guy leading the rebellion - appears to go outside, but we never see him go outside. I assumed the guy behind the door that Juliette encounters is the young boy grown up.
The only complaint that I have is the landscape is lighter than in the season 1 finale
@@conors4430 that;s not the reason nobody got further over the hill - all other people sent outside to clean had holes in their suit - it was intentional and that's why they died so fast from toxic air entering their suits
my theory is juliet is gonna try to make it back to her silo and try to stop the rebellion
Is that a severance diss 😂?
and another thing! In the intro we see a door ( with a 18 striped symbol) . In Hebrew 18 is associated with the word "Chai", which means “life.”
I’m stoked first episode was good
My theory was the rebellion in that silo was the one that happened 100 years ago.
So is the atmosphere outside the silos really toxic?
From a certain point of view…
That’s not Russel. Also, I doubt that’s Savannah in the background. Savannah has a few tallish buildings but not pointy skyscrapers like that. I think it’s more likely Atlanta.
IMHO, "My hand slipped" Is in relation to earlier in the episode where he says take Russel alive, and then we have a seen where he throws someone, maybe acedently, down the shaft. Was that Russel?
My theory why the door was closed when the silo flooded the air was pushed upwards creating a force of air that managed to close and seal the door that's why it was like vacuum sealed and when she opened it eventually u could see or hear the vacuum released
thats a freaking GOAT show
Ross McCall is the actor who leads the rebellion. He is an actor from the show White collar what are the antagonists Matthew Keller.
i liked the first season very much, but i was sooo bored with this first episode. hopefully it gets better in the future...
I think the original Russell was killed by the sheriff, but they have some sort of cloning technique to keep the silo masters genes. That's probably what the pale eye means
So Steve zahn character is called "solo" that is at end of episode 1 ending 😮
Good opening To The Season
That guy at the end is not Russell, neither it's a kid, that was Rebellion's leader's son, who died outside.
What significant is this new character has heterochromia, which would probably tie in in a second episode.
So is the image of a paradise outside faked by the suits visor? I’m really confused here.
Yes
what happens if they managed to get a tunnel per every silo to get it connected into it
Rebecca Ferguson did amazing this first episode. What a badass.
2:57 The eyes are different because it’s a different person. The character Russel died, he was thrown off the bridge during the skirmish. The person in the vault is likely the little boy who brought the note to the sheriff at the start of the episode 😊
Nope, he is dead
Thanks for warning about the trailer dive so I had time to stop the video. I am going to avoid the trailers as I want to go into each new episode without any expectations. And I agree with the other folks who said Russell and the guy behind the door aren’t the same person. Their eyes don’t look like they are the same person. But great breakdown otherwise (as usual).
What if russel is not the guy inside, ans the sheriff slipping is referring to him killing russel unintentionally
Season 2 came so quick, I'm happy how ApplyTv spoils their viewers.
The books are well write and also very entertaining.
I can't help but notice to how similar this show is to The Fallout franchise
If this is going by the books, the man Juliette encounters is not Russell. And those bodied have been laying around for a looong time.
I wonder if this flooded silo chamber is responsible in some way for hers having water?
Juliette the DIY queen
Anyone noticed that Apple changed the aspect ratio of season 2 episode wherein season 1 had a bigger screen which elevates the experience to watch a sci-fi show. Apple started cost cutting, the same way they did with Foundation S2. Do like the comment if you’ve also noticed it!
It’s obviously STEVEN ZAHN the actor behind the door. You can tell his voice and his eyes.
That’s Steve Zahn behind the door. We don’t see him in the opening scene.
