I’m happy about seasons 3 and 4, too. “Silo” is real science fiction. Most movies and TV shows that claim to be science fiction are really fantasy, to one degree or another. Now, there’s nothing wrong with fantasy but, as a fiction purist, I don’t like things being called science fiction when they’re actually not. I also like this show because Juliette is a real character with strengths and weaknesses and foibles who *just happens* to also be a woman. Most female characters are locked in stereotypical boxes of one kind or another and, as a woman myself, it’s pretty infuriating to see. I’ve got to hand it to Rebecca Ferguson: she’s been in great projects but she’s carved a very unique, non-traditional path for herself. She’s played all different kinds of characters and have never let herself be pinned down to just one thing.

Great overview! First, let me say how much I love this series. I see no need to complain about the pace as I believe the great reveal will be worth the wait. Salvatore Quinn: head of IT during last rebellion over 140 years ago: I wonder where the hard drive was originally located (Did Quinn hide it; Did Mary have it; Why didn't Bernard know of it's existence?) (3)The Legacy: referring to the clip of Bernard asking Meadow’s if she had ever looked at the VR headset when she sat with the Legacy, then I would think that reviewing whatever that is (a video, library containing the before times information and data, or a computer program that taught her the history of the Silo. If true, she would have learned why the Silo came into existence in the first place and something about that knowledge caused her to cease being Bernard’s shadow and drove her to drink. However, I wonder why this was so new to her if she was given access to everything as Bernard’s shadow and he specifically asks her if she ever used “one of” those headsets while sitting with the Legacy. (4)I think Solo has hidden Juliette’s suit inside the vault. I believe this will be the opportunity to let Juliette in for stopping his solo from flooding, and she will then have access to whatever Bernard has access to. If the screen Bernard has in the vault is a way to communicate with other Silo’s, then this will give her a way to contact Silo 18. (5)I believe the apparatus dropping the “Juliette Lives” confetti happens when Mechanical finds out that she really is alive (by whatever means that might be). When Bernard sees this he will become mortified and take drastic action to shut the whole Silo down in some way.
Funny how Bernard cuts all communication on the radio. In the book Billings is convinced of the other side after Bernard cuts all radio communications while talking to Juliet from silo 17.
I am really glad that something thrilling is finnally happening after all those episodes, the earlier ones were damn too boring. And also why is this season so dark, half the time i cant see anything on screen clearly
You are on the money there. It might be the children. In the books, there are actually survivors at the lower levels below 100 and those are the children of the survivors all alone living in the farms. In this series, since the water level is close to floor 34, I have a feeling that the kids are instead living with Solo in the vault. Initially, the older children see Solo and Juliette as hostiles but I'm not sure now. we just have to wait for new episodes.
As a book reader I have been pissed at the show for a few weeks. After this episode I am in a better mood. I still do t like how they done my boy Solo but I like where this is going.
He needs a more sophisticated computer to crack the code. The Legacy must be an advanced computer from the time they build the silo. This season is also pretty slow. I'm starting to lose my excitement for the day a episode drops. I will still watch it but just not hoping for anything big to happen each episode.
It is actually slow once Jules got the Silo 17 in the books. If you want excitement, you have to wait until the end. I know what happens there if the series goes down the books path.
For everyone saying that this season is slow, it is following the book pretty darn close. That’s all I’m going to say because I don’t wanna spoil anything, but I think by the end of this season you will be very happy with the overall story.
I was shocked that Lukas was indoctrinated to the legacy just like that, in the books, it was a slow build up where Bernard was plumping him up in isolation in the vault as he read the legacy so that he can perform the rights to Silo 1. I'm not sure if the other remaining episodes will show that or something. And Solo here in the series is more witty than the books. In the books, he is more child- like and obeys Jules' commands.
@thinkstory You can grow low grade penicillin on spicy peppers bread mold works but can become toxic more easily. Both grow penicillium which is fermented into penicillin.
Juliette will eventually show back up to her original Silo. She will tell the people that it is not safe outside to gain the trust of Bernard, but will have other plans for the people to break out and see the truth.
The legacy is a silos that rules them all, a silos of people who know the truth I think. I think this season ends with this silos being saved, then the next two years are other silos being connected and maybe they will find a spot on earth you can rebuild?
I thought something similar, except not a Main Silo, just somewhere in the outside world that has managed to survive. I think the Legacy is a communication system; a telephone, computer, radio, something that shows them to actually speak with someone in the outside world.
@whorocksthehouse I am curious if there is a living outside world somewhere, or is the whole world dead. One would assume there were nuclear wars and the air is radiated, BUT two things point to that NOT being the case. 1. The city in the distance seems to be standing, not nuked. 2. After someone goes out they flood the room with FIRE, you don't protect yourself from radiation with fire. It seems to be a living, biological thing that killed the world and still exists..... so, can the find a cure and go out, or clean the world? Is one of Solos eyes changed because he was exposed but had a cure in time? very curious
Spoiler : There are other silos that still have people in them . Silo 1 is the one that rules all the other silos and has more knowledge and technology of the past. Juliette will become the mayor eventually. That’s all I’m going to say .
You should see the video of adam savage where he shows the models to create the silo decors. We can see what is after the right door in the room where is solo. It is a gigantic old bookshelf.
The "legacy" is the room behind the right door where stored all humanity knowledges before apocalypse-silos I got this when watching an interview with the Silo designers, it containes two faced mezzanines. Bernad wants to give Lukas some cryptography notions by letting him enter to the library-legacy in order to break the sipher code as he talking about cesar shifting. I presume that only the head of IT and his shadow permitted to enter to the Legacy, that's why he make him his shadow, but not for long for sure.
If you want interesting, you have to wait until the end. Because if you read the books, it is actually a slow burn once Jules got to Silo 17. And it got a bit more interesting once the rebellion fights started. So the series still stands true to the book but a bit more fleshed out on the plots. If you are impatient then good luck handling the story of book 2 of Wool once adapted. It's mostly backstory of Silo 1, solo's isolation and Alison's ancestors at a slow burn as well.
Well, now, I’m not sure it’s fair to call Diego a *spy*. He tried to tell his direct superior but Armondson didn’t want to listen to him. That’s the only reason he went to Sims. He needed the ear of someone who could actually act. Diego is one of the few people, ironically, thinking about the good of the whole silo. Armondson proved several times in this one episode that he doesn’t have the right stuff to be an effective leader.
While I am certainly glad the series has been given a third or fourth season to finish the story, I am concerned that we are still in book 1 midway through the second season. So that means book 1 is seasons 1 and 2, but books 2 and 3 are seasons 3 and 4? It just feels like we are burning really slow for a four-season experience
What really puzzles me is why blame things on mechanical if they are the ones who literally keeps the lights on 🤔🤔 I mean why start war with the people who basically hold the keys to the silo cass if u kill the mechanics are they basically killing the entire silo 🤔🤔
If only The Leaders didnt let people who goes out to die, maybe there would be no rebellion, The Leaders should let the people decide if they want to go out and die eventually or stay in the Silo
It is still faithful to the narrative but the plot has been changed a lot. However, it's interesting in my case. And what is nice is that some minor minor characters and new characters have their own stories fleshed out. I'd say it's more than good for an adaptation but not GoT seasons 1-3 good. I'd rate this 7.8 Jules out of 10 Silos!
I mean, look at it this way. If the rebellion succeeds that’s going to be Bernard doing the opposite path as he’s sent out the airlock with the bad tape for crimes against humanity. Desperate times, desperate measures.
I’ve been okay with Silo’s pacing so far but if this pump thing turns into yet another episode long montage of Jules fixing something, I’ll be turning the show off
I have not read the books, but I know that there are 3 books in the series with the second book titled Shift. That title and the news that Apple has renewed the series for 2 more seasons to let the story conclude properly shows that the end of Season 2 will reveal another big mystery. This reveal will align with traditional story telling where the answer to one mystery leads to another mystery, Season 2 covers the second half of the first book, titled Wool. I presume the chosen title of Shift for the second book denotes the start of the new big mystery -- a shift in how reality is perceived. A commonly used ploy in serialized storytelling is to make the audience think conquering the villain is the final task for the protagonist. When this villain is vanquished, it is revealed that he answers to a bigger villain. This bigger villain is the focus of the 3rd season and presumably the subject of Shift. The fact that there is a third book, titled Dust, implies that the season 3 will only set up the stage for the final battle with the real big boss. Therefore, the end of Season 3 would not end on a cliff hanger where reality is changed again to reveal another mystery. As such, Apple takes a risk at funding a 4th season because the final mystery has already been revealed by the end of Season 2. The audience may regard Season 4 as milking it. I suspect Juliette and company, including Bernard and Sims, will form an uncomfortable alliance to fight the big boss. As to who the big boss is, if it turns out to be an alien and the world of Silo is a space station where the humans are kept as guinea pigs in an experiment so the aliens can observe human behavior, this reveal will be a huge let down. Please don't make it aliens.
lol that's what google is for. ew reddit.. I hate it tbh ..too many trolls and freaks trying to get upvoted ..and crying when they get downvoted...I downvote all of redditt lmao
For me, it is just. In the books it is also a slow burn but slow burn in a narrative way than plot. Here, it is fleshing out the rebellion evenly. In the books, they just grab their pitch forks once Walker told them that He ( originally a guy) replaced the tapes, and marched on to level 34 despite time gaps. And there is not much on Jules side as well since it's just her trapped in another Silo. Most of the interesting story is in Silo 18.
If you are that impatient, then good luck with the second book of Wool when adapted. It is mostly backstory of Silo 1 and the creation of the Silos, Solo's Isolation and Alison's Ancestors which are also a slow burners. And the third book is the continuation of the first book which is a long long time for us to pick up soon.
I can't get into this show when it focuses on the citizens vs Bernard. But Solo and Rebecca's story keeps me coming back. But this episode sucked. No Solo? Pass
I am very disappointed about the episodes have been stalling since the ep.2. It was a good start in ep.1 that it felt like a "Alice in Wonderland" story. It was attractive only in ep.1. But since ep.2, all the stories are junks. A lot of guys doing gay stuffs, meaningless conversations and so on without any progress to the story. Alice should be exploring to other silos just like the story in Fallout; or Alice is being sexually abused by the hentai man Solo (which usually happens in the Japanese hentai animes in an environment like that)...etc. That's what we are expecting to see. The one who wrote the story after ep.1 should be fired. Watching this show is now really boring. A lot of scenes are unnecessary. We sincerely hope that the whole production team would be fired asap. What a crap they ruined the whole story.
@@nicedude2091 I undertand storytelling but that story must develop at a pace that moves it along. This second season of splitting Juliette and the original silo has been a bust. Common overacts and the dialogue goes nowhere. It's following the exact formula as the " Lost" series which took you on a wild goose chase and there was never a pay off in the end. the story went around in circles chasing its tail. good luck with the rest of it. I am really glad that something thrilling is finnally happening after all those episodes, the earlier ones were damn too boring.
And also why is this season so dark, half the time i cant see anything on screen clearly
I think Solo is protecting someone else in the vault!
😂
Solo is 34 years alone in the vault. He protects nothing
@@manga33 he is, at least in this adaptation. I know the secrets.
Must be holographic Tec maby
What do you think about sims? In the book he's just a thug.
@thinkstory You can grow low grade penicillin on spicy peppers bread mold works but can become toxic more easily. Both grow penicillium which is fermented into penicillin.
Does anyone knows in which part of the books the show is currently in?
2nd half of the first book
@@manga33thank you
Juliette will eventually show back up to her original Silo. She will tell the people that it is not safe outside to gain the trust of Bernard, but will have other plans for the people to break out and see the truth.
Where is the reddit post link on the cipher solved? I tried googling for it and cant find it...
Spoiler :
There are other silos that still have people in them .
Silo 1 is the one that rules all the other silos and has more knowledge and technology of the past.
Juliette will become the mayor eventually. That’s all I’m going to say .
u didnt link the reddit post yet
White lie to peak engagement
You should see the video of adam savage where he shows the models to create the silo decors. We can see what is after the right door in the room where is solo. It is a gigantic old bookshelf.
Juliette will make it back and be the new leader at the end.
HOT Tamales in here haha!
It sure looked like Juliette woke up inside the vault (wall of books).
True. Juliette wasn't even surprised. I mean neither her or Solo alluded to it. Very odd.
No, she was still in the apartment where she collapsed, just moved from the floor onto the bed that she found the helmet hidden under.
The "legacy" is the room behind the right door where stored all humanity knowledges before apocalypse-silos
I got this when watching an interview with the Silo designers, it containes two faced mezzanines.
I love your videos
Penicillin, was discovered on moldy bread. antibiotic aren't difficult, they are found in nature, of course ours is fancy these days
I miss From, imma go rewatch your From explanations.
This show needs to get interesting real quick cause Im bout to check out
Slow burn but I’m too invested now 😂
If you want interesting, you have to wait until the end.
@ makes sense. Thank you
I guess now after episode 6 it will get more thrilling, tho this entire season has been very boring lately
There are 48 more silos to explore. Not 50 :) great vid tho!
When the video is near its end, I always feel anxious that daddy does not love me very much anymore.
a little nit picky but actually the assistant doctor or whatever did have enough experience to help, just not any of the strong drugs.
I thought Paul was going to turn “Sarah.” If you know, you know.
The concrete would have had rebar inside it.
I think the legacy is some sort of AI machine from the times before
What really puzzles me is why blame things on mechanical if they are the ones who literally keeps the lights on 🤔🤔
I mean why start war with the people who basically hold the keys to the silo cass if u kill the mechanics are they basically killing the entire silo 🤔🤔
If only The Leaders didnt let people who goes out to die, maybe there would be no rebellion, The Leaders should let the people decide if they want to go out and die eventually or stay in the Silo
Did anyone noticed what solo said to Juliette (PEOPLE OF THIS SILO) like he is not one of them
Not following. How else could Solo have phrased it?
@ like that confirm he is not from that silo
@ like that confirm he is not from that silo
I assumed Paul getting better had something to do with environmental factors.
I' sure the why of the silos is just like fallout, but without the comical irony.
breakdown: another filler episode and episode 3 of finding a suit to wear saga
Can any book reader tell me if the show is a good adaptation?
It is still faithful to the narrative but the plot has been changed a lot. However, it's interesting in my case. And what is nice is that some minor minor characters and new characters have their own stories fleshed out. I'd say it's more than good for an adaptation but not GoT seasons 1-3 good. I'd rate this 7.8 Jules out of 10 Silos!
@@kalebgonzales4009 Thank you for your take!!!
I like the show but it's getting to "from" territory, time to read the books
It ain't anywhere near From. Silo is actually interesting and keeps you engaged
your whole comment sections is full of tons of spoilers
there are not 50 other silos we have to explore, there are 48 more
Kind of crazy to not read the books
6:32...
"Solo" Injected "Juliet" With Liquified-Moldy-Bread.😜
Ha ha at least she woke up in the same clothes. Solo must be a pretty decent fellow taking every thing into consideration.
I mean, look at it this way. If the rebellion succeeds that’s going to be Bernard doing the opposite path as he’s sent out the airlock with the bad tape for crimes against humanity. Desperate times, desperate measures.
How does that lady got 2 kids? Complaining g about starvation, I thought they can have 1 kid each couple? 😮😅
You're right. Maybe 1 kid is not her own. Maybe the other kids parents died and she took charge of them?
Pretty sure they are limited to two kids if they're "lucky enough" to win the lottery twice. Didn't Juliette herself have a brother that passed on?
@ oh yeah
whats with all the dislikes?
legacy is a book
I’ve been okay with Silo’s pacing so far but if this pump thing turns into yet another episode long montage of Jules fixing something, I’ll be turning the show off
Well coming off the books I believe its An AI person but they still won't know wth an AI person is lol
Bit of a filler this week.
like every week so far this season
@Gos1234567 Because It really is a slow burn, even in the books. you have to wait until the end, that's when the fun stuff might come.
plato
Comments from those who have read the books have to be the most annoying.
and just like the rebellion, we see how fragile your viewership base is when they dont get the promised reddit link, they thumbs down en mass
lol that's what google is for. ew reddit.. I hate it tbh ..too many trolls and freaks trying to get upvoted ..and crying when they get downvoted...I downvote all of redditt lmao
😂
Shirley is the worst character/actress ever.
Too much unnecessary side stories with a waste of time. The main story of Juliet Nichols just only less than 2 minutes at the end.
Slow episode
Slow as hell lol
This show is taking to long.
City of Ember is better and Tim Robbins was in that too.
Season 1 was way better...😢
Totally boring episode mostly about the "rebellion" (greaseballs carrying lead pipes). The only interesting bits were Bernard and the indian dude
so much filler, they give us 1 minute with the lead..
No Solo? Pass
Then you don’t like the actual show mf 😂
Yikes this was a bad episode
The problem with this episode is that nobody cares about almost all of those characters 👀 the plot that they have are a bit boring
The Legacy is all the knowledge that humanity reached before the nuclear disaster took place
book spoilers dude....
Please consider writing “spoiler warning” next time
Why bro?

Your reveiw is pure garbage
another boring ep's. I was bsin on my phone the whole time. This season is so lack luster.
yawn yawn and yawing some more.... this show has officially jumped the shark..... the pacing is slower than a snail in molasses. ..... no thank you
good things take time, this show works so well because it’s slow.
I'm out for good.
@ considering the silo is based on a series of pre exisiting books that it’s not following to a tee but it’s inspired by so it has a set story and ending which means it can hopefully avoid the problems lost had. i get where you’re coming from though it is very slow but i appreciate being immersed in the story and the lore.
Its really terrible. The writing is bad and the scenes are horribly structures
@@nicedude2091 boring boring boring
The show got renewed for the 3rd and 4th season... No ty. I'm not even gonna bother finishing this one. This was the last episode i was willing to suffer through. Both 1st and 2nd season had content for 4-5 episodes at best, but decided to stretch it to 10. Silo is bunch of nothing padded into 10 episodes, with occasional mystery to keep you watching. Its like a carrot on a stick, and I dont wanna be the donkey any more
so long, you won't be missed. Every show is not for everyone but if you don't like a show why watch recaps of it. No one put a gun to your head to make you watch it.
First of all you gotta stop complaining about this show in recap videos about the show
Go write to the writers and directors of the show, not here lmao.
Go complain to the writers of the show
I think juliet is back in silo from underground tunnels
