Hey so i have a 2012 sti, i heard that this downpipe has a high chance of boost creep? Or does that go away with a pro tune? Because i would be able to afford to buy it then do the cobb tune with the ap, or would i need to get the pro tune right away?
iMDiistressed boost creep is definitely possible in the winter months with this, but the pro tune helped quite a bit. The one way to completely get rid of boost creep is to get an external waste gate setup. I've been going on about a year and i've been fine though.

Hey man, I noticed your reverse gear makes a lot of noise when moving backwards. Mine makes the same noise but sometimes I can't shift into reverse even at a dead stop. Does yours do that also? I'm debating if I should go through the hassle of repairing it through warranty.
madgamerz104 it's honestly just the AWD system in the car, subarus are known to be noisy. If it doesn't go into reverse right away, shift it from another gear into reverse.
1st and reverse are quite often hard to shift into, because in both cases you usually aren't moving at the time, so synchros cannot help align the dogs. (And in any case, I suspect reverse doesn't even have synchros anyway). So usually the solution is as Lucas replied 4 years ago: keep jostling things around by trying different gears until reverse lines up.
Did you put the Cobb AP on it after putting the DP on? I've got a full turbo back, catless straight piped exhaust. Kind of sounds like a gymkhana car haha. I've got a video of the sound if you'd wanna check it out for yourself.
Nope, I had it tuned right a few days after the install. Just flashed the Cobb stage 2 map until I got it professionally done. No codes were thrown before then.
The tune of Lee the protune was much better and safer than the Cobb map. I would highly recommended getting a tune from an actual tuner over the Cobb OTS maps.
+El1TeGaM3r97 I'm not a huge fan of the single exit look, also it's not very loud until you get on it so I can still drive without attracting so much attention to myself haha!
hey jamie! thanks for asking. I do not recieve much drone at all if any! Its the perfect happy medium, since its loud when you get on it but you can still be quiet when just cruising at normal speeds.
my car needs to sound like this.
+SmurfinWRX that rumble..:)
oh hey whats up✋
+SmurfinWRX hey mike, check out the new video, i show launch control with the new setup.
Sounds awesome dude!
+Dustin Williams Automotive Media thanks dude!

+sickofthis368 i got a pro-tune from a local tuner!
Nice =D
why does the 2015+ wrx doesnt sound anywhere like this with the same exhaust
2015+ WRX’s have a completely different engine. They have the FA’s, the previous models such as the 2014 in the video has the EJ.
EQUAL LENGTH VS UEL
When you did the install did your car throw any codes?
Nope, I had it tuned right a few days after the install. Just flashed the Cobb stage 2 map until I got it professionally done. No codes were thrown before then.
@@lucasdrives good to know installing mine on the weekend. Do you notice a difference between cobb stage 2 and the tune?
The tune of Lee the protune was much better and safer than the Cobb map. I would highly recommended getting a tune from an actual tuner over the Cobb OTS maps.
Lucas Wetsch that means it was tuned in a dyno right?
airbox cover?
wheel setup?
what kind of exhaust hangers are you using? OEM or aftermarket?
+vietboi511 OEM!
Doesn't sound that much louder.....how is it on cold starts?
pretty loud, at WOT it's extremely louder. I'm gonna post a cold start and launch control vid soon.
+Lucas Drives why do u dont buy the n1 street? why is the q300 ur joice?
+El1TeGaM3r97 I'm not a huge fan of the single exit look, also it's not very loud until you get on it so I can still drive without attracting so much attention to myself haha!
Lucas Drives u can buy the n1 with two...;)
+El1TeGaM3r97 I know haha, you know what I mean ;) I like the look of the quad tip for these cars
do you receive any drone with the catless downpipe
hey jamie! thanks for asking. I do not recieve much drone at all if any! Its the perfect happy medium, since its loud when you get on it but you can still be quiet when just cruising at normal speeds.
Yeah awesome i guess thats why people like the q300 thanks
did you just do a cat delete after getting the q300 catback?
+Josh Herrera its got an invidia divorced catless downpipe, so yes it deleted the cat in the downpipe.
+Lucas Drives alright cus i got a q300 catback titanium tip also. did you do a res delete as well?
nope, same resonated mid pipe from the q300!
Why catless over catted?
BornWithFame Hey! My main reason was the power gains and the deeper/louder sound.
I’m thinking of using the same setup. Do the police bother you for modified exhaust?
Michael Garcia just depends on where you live ha. I’ve never had an issue where I live.
Where did you get the lower "fog lights" brake lights from?
joey j they are actually from the factory like that!
