Why the Muay Thai Front Kick (Teep) is the BEST Kick for Self-Defense

  • The front kick, or teep as it's know in Muay Thai, is in my opinion one of the best kicks in self-defense -- if not THE best kick in self-defense. It's versatile. It's powerful. It's long range. It sets everything else up. If you're worried about throwing a kick in self-defense well...maybe your kicks just suck.

I would've loved to go more in depth, but I just wanted to get something quick out for y'all. I have some really awesome videos planned for the near future!
    What's your favorite kick? Why?

The good old front kick vertical target (straight leg) is my favorite. Powerful, quick, doesn't require much flexibility, and not likely to knock you off balance.

Your the man Jordan! I learned so much during our garage training sessions! You are great at giving clear and direct instruction! I highly recommend anyone to train with you in Muay Thai and Self Defense 🤘

Nice video! I don't really have a favorite kick since I am not much of a kicker but I should definatly work on a decent teep :)

Ive been working particularly on the teep for the last couple months and it really does make a huge difference. I've found it particularly effective at the beginning of a combo or, even more fun, at the very end. Typically catches people off guard!
