Do you get to choose where you’re stationed? For example can you choose to be at San Diego or Seattle? Maybe even Japan?

So if I am going to be starting as OS in deck department and I like Working overtime which is the most profitable coast. Is the overtime readily available on east coast ships?

It's really the ships schedule over coast thar will dictate OT. However, West Coast ships seem a bit busier, IMHO. Thanks for sharing the question.

So if i am a person that likes to work a lot of overtime. Where will i make more money and if i move to a state not on either coast will that affect anything

More overtime is the game. There are advantages to coast, stares and even countries. You have to find what works for you

Depending on role aboard, tonnage, type of work, and hours worked. Lots of factors that only the coast guard can determine.... but 👍
