What do I do if my RUSH 72 I have doesn't have a spot to thread the hose for the bladder? I looked by the carry handle, those are sewn down, no velcro. Any help!
Funny thing is my rush 24 doesn't have either the hole going to the main compartment nor the top velcro thing.... so there must be multiple rush 24 bags out there. Very unhappy with 5.11 right now
Maybe a fake? My rush 24 1.0 has the holes. Best backpack i ever owened, high cost, but i love it. Too bad it is still in good shape, like to have a 2.0 version 😏
Can the RUSH 24 fit any 3l bladder ? I've been looking at the source bladders and they have the option for a wide bladder or the long one. I don't know which would fit.
I didn't get that either. Now I'm not saying you should strap on any sort of pouch as the space is limited, but I have a CAT trap on my left yoke that holds a Combat Application Tourniquet for quick access and have a second in my IFAK on the side of the pack. But you can definitely put a useful accessory on the yokes, or even a compass pouch.
I have the rush 24 and its great, but I just bought the rush 12 and it has no hole to route the bladder hose through ... that was highly disappointing.
So where did the hose come from..weird edit after he hung the bladder and the hose was connected and through the bag. Im pretty sure this 24 doesn't have those holes for the tube.
@@reallyhappenings5597 What's the thinking behind passing it through the main compartment? I must have a new version as mines does not have that. It simply passes through the top of the bladder compartment
That is a Source Gear hydration bladder. Probably this one: sourcetacticalgear.com/tactical-hydration-systems/91-wxp-3l-hydration-upgrade-kit.html I have that and I'm not very happy how it fits in this backpack (and I think it's the backpack's fault sadly).
I did buy a rush 12, but I almost didn't because of this. Why not have a dedicated hole for the hose? It would be nice to have the hydration compartment separate from the main compartment.
I have a Rush 72 and this is the thing that I like the least about it. I cover it a bit in my video here: th-cam.com/video/qJW9thdtk0k/w-d-xo.html Routing the hose through there pushes on the eye-wear pocket, exposes the inside to water and the last problem I'm having is that it takes a lot of hose. I actually have that same hydration bladder and there's no way the hose reaches that far. I have to twist my head 90 degrees to be able to drink from it. If anybody is interested I'm happy to make a video about this in particular.

Hey, I purchased the rush 24 pack a while back and I have loved it, it is as good as the day I bought it with no wear or tear after a year of daily use.. my only problem and by this I mean my ONLY bone to pick is that there is no attachment point at the hips, past the shoulder straps the rest of the bag flops around and bounces when you run and falls to the side when you lay down.. do you have a solution for the lacking hip strap? Is there an attachment or something that I have lost or can buy, I am a loyal purchaser and I will wear that pack to the grave but I would like to have some sort of hip strap for future designs or updates with this bag
My Rush series does NOT have the hole for the hose so I have to have it touching the zipper. What gives with that???? I had originally asked 5.11 where to get a bladder for their system since they don't sell then and they referred me to Camelbak. Again, don't service what you sell?
Orlando Colamatteo, Jr. which one do you have? I have both 72 and All Hazards Prime and they have one. Did you run your hand all around the interior of the bladder compartment?
And as for the bladder, no 5.11 does not sell bladders, they referred to CamelBak because that is what’s popular. I’m currently looking for one for my Rush72
Seems 5.11 doesn't have anyone that can bother to answer questions on TH-cam or Amazon. I have asked them a question on Amazon 3 times now. No replies.

you bought the new version.
Same here but going by other replies this is a good thing. People who had that hole had water leak into the bag
Was checking my bag and mine escapes up vertically, directly above the velcro for hanging the pouch.
@@shawnmuenchthanks so much for this comment. I never would have found that routing hole if it weren't for you pointing it out

when you wear the pack do you ever feel the water bladder hose on the back of your neck or is it out of the way enough that you don't feel it?
1:30. What do you mean with "wouldn't necessarily recommend putting anything on there"?

its personal choice
You can do it but it gets in the way. Multitool ok. Nalgene not so much.

Wow, awsome tip. Thank you.
when i follow these steps i cant store my sunglasses in the pouch on top due to the hose is in the way. is this a flaw in your design?
Yup... I'm having the same issue.
Store the tube behind the glasses pouch.
@@TwoPlusTwoEqualsFive32 the tube feeds through a hole IN FRONT of the sunglasses pouch
User error.. im looking at my 72 right now and itll certainly hold sunglasses while also having a hydration tube
Hello
Are the rush backpacks waterproof ?
I'm watching this looking for a place to put my water bottle lol

On rush 12 how many liters can handle?
Can the RUSH 24 accommodate a 3L Camelbak hydration bladder?
It's a bit tight but mine still fits (source 3l)
Toasty 86 Thanks I really appreciate your response. I’m thinking about getting a RUSH 24 for EDC work.
I'd say 2 max. Not specified on 511 site. Rush72 spec'd at 3 liters, rysh 12 at 1.5 so stands to reason 2 liter for 24.
Source hydration bladder👍🏻
what is the name of bladder used in this video? please help me

I agree. This is probably the worst aspect of an otherwise great backpack. I'm thinking of somehow making a hole for the hydration bladder.
@@pupeno3 they are designed like this now. I got a rush 72 and the bladder and hose design is a lot better, no going through the main compartment
agree.. mine has no hole also... kind of pissed me off. seems like a very simple thing to do.

Galahad The Green I haven’t tried yet but it looks like there are strap hook ups on the bottom of the pack for hip strap
