    I have all three sizes. The 12 is my EDC, the 24 is my driver's bag as a truck driver, and the 72 is my travel bag. Having the hip belt is essential to lift off the load from my shoulders, and this yoke harness system really does the trick. So even though the 72 is taller than my torso, it still feels easy to carry on my back even if it's heavily loaded. Thanks again George for this awesome review! I can highly recommend this backpack to anyone, who needs a solid, value for money travel bag, bugout bag or emergency bag at home or in their vehicle.

    I like these and thanks for the good review. My last 48 hour fell over all the time so I cut a piece of plywood and put in the bottom to stabalize it. I don't like it drooping either when it's half full.

    I love this bag too. The only thing i wish would change in the rush series is. 1. Change the straps to goruck style straps so it can ride higher on the back. 2. Convert the sunglasses pocket up top to a wider aquaguard zippered access for the laptop sleeve and put the felt lining on the top front pocket instead. Keep up the great reviews George. Cheers and God bless.

    Hi George, My name is Tim and it’s Very Nice to Meet You.
    GREAT JOB ON YOUR 5.11 RUSH 72 EDC/BUGOUT BACKPACK VIDEO PRESENTATION!!!!
    You Didn’t Sugarcoat or water down anything about Your Presentation with this Pack. You Shoot Straight From The Hip, and Got to the Point. I currently own two 5.11 Rush 24’s One in the U.S Coast Blue Color Pattern 2.0 and the Other is a Black older 1.0 Edition. 15:50
    😎☀️🏖🏝🍺🍹🥃💯👍🏽
    Another Point You Can in Your Video Presentation on the 5.11 Rush 72 EDC BUGOUT BACKPACK is that it is a Great Resource for Vehicular Combat/Close Quarters Battle Scenarios. I am a Formerly Trained U.S. Army Combat Military Police Officer stationed in Germany and the 5.11 Rush 72 Can Also Be Used FOR TCP TACTICAL COMMAND POST Operations in the Field for both Urban and non-Urban Environments and Climates.
    Also I like the Crye Precision OCP MULTICAM CAM pattern for the 5.11 Rush 72 EDC BAG/Bugout Backpack!!!! It Goes well with Any Other Environment and Climate.
    Otherwise Than Thats it.
    Great Job on Your Video Presentation

    11:52 - so that's another change - they removed the organization? On the older version, there's are like 3 little pockets inside at least one of the sides, I use them for lock picks and a traveler's hook. Debating buying another, but they don't make the original version, hoping they still have those!

    • @no1unorightnow
      @no1unorightnow 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can confirm that lots of organization is missing in the newer bags. That sucks. Nothing else that I'm aware of, can touch the v1 of these in terms of built-in organizational features.

    Great review, my brutha. I purchased my 72 in Double Tap. Gonna be using it for my long overseas trip, and like you, my only gripe is the not so easy access to my Apple Laptop/iPad Pro. Perhaps I could fit either/or inside the CCW pocket seeings how I currently do not own a CCW. The main compartment is very spacious for packing cubes, and kicks. I simply cannot wait to put this bad boy to good use. Again, thanks for the great review.
    BTW, did wifey ever let you go on that fishing trip? 🤣

    Great review, George. Definitely a bag for long trips, camping, or in your case fishing. I bought the LAPG Atlas 24 awhile back after your review of it, & this Rush bag definitely reminds me of that bag. The only real differences I see are the beaver-tail/shove-it pouch, placement of the CCW pocket, the size of the water bottle pockets (the ones on the Rush 72 are larger), & the hip belt (the Atlas 24 has a removable waist strap, not hip belt). That said, the Atlas 24 seems to do a solid chunk of what the Rush 72 does for half the price & comes in at about 1.3 lbs lighter as well.

They have about 30 different models like Raid Pack, Modular Trooper Pack, Mil Ops, Mission Pack... They all have 700 den Cordura and are made for military and emergency forces. I think you would like them.

    Great video. I bought the 180-dollar version. What would you use to waterproof this pack? Any suggestions like a wax or spray? or is the bag by itself waterproof? I'm outside with my job and spend hours in the elements...I know the best solution would be a big enough dry bag to put the pack in, I could store it in the beaver tail pocket. The problem is then I would have to carry a heavy dry bag in the hurricane. Subscribed

    • @jesperkjaer8268
      @jesperkjaer8268 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For me personally that would depend on the season and the terrain. But generally I would not use the GR2 on a trip longer than 2 days. On another note - the Rush 72 is much more comfortable on a longer hike. My back and shoulders just couldn't agree with GR2. It might be different for other people. Also consider that the amount of stuff you can put in a Rush 72 is significant.

    Hello from Canada and thank you for the video. It was very helpful. I have a few questions. Can that pack handle a 15-inch wide item in circumference comfortably in the main compartment?
    What is the difference between 1000D Cordora and the 1050 Nylon for this pack? Also, I live in a wet environment. Which material would be best suited? I know the pack is not waterproof but whatever water resistance I can get would be good or at least some info. Lastly which material is best puncture resistant? I will be using the pack mostly for gold panning so the environment will be kinda wet but lots of sharp rocks and tools plus the pan.

    Sorry to point something out, been trying to find a good review that actually talks about all the changes, and nobody is talking about the loss of the modularity on the inside pockets from the original model. It’s not a huge issue, but it is kind of a shame to lose that functionality. Love your video though, might have to watch more of your content. I will say that you hit on something I never realized, which is the multicast is 1kD and the other bags are not. I thought it was just a if you want to look cool thing you have to pay for it lol. I kinda have to get the multi cam.

    Great pack but to me it's sadly let down by the back panel as it literally melts on your back when getting mobile fast, they should of put a breathable back panel in or take a leaf out of Blackhawks older packs such as their Raptor X3, 3 day assault pack and cyclone and add a memory foam style breathable back panel as they work.
