Epic ACW Iron Brigade. Box to base.

In this video I show how I go about making the Iron Brigade from ‪@warlordgames‬. Using 2 of the boxes to make 4 regiments. I run through all the colours I use and get them from raw metal to painted and based.

I’m pretty certain that one Regiment in the Iron Brigade (Michigan?) wore kepis not Hardee hats. It might mean you can finish the Brigade with what you have. Great job on these.

@@leont66wargaming31 Iron Brigade was 2nd, 6th, 7th Wisconsin, 19th Indiana and 24th Michigan so you’re fine so far. 😁

Well, after a quick bit of research I’m confused. I’ve found photographs of the 19th Indiana in kepis and Don Troiani pictures of them in Hardees. Same for the 24th Michigan. I suspect (seem to remember reading) that the Hardees were replaced later in the war. It’s nearly 15 years since I painted my ACW collection so memory is perhaps fickle and I’m away from home so can’t check the books I used. Perhaps artistic licence should be used and just go with the Hardees?

At least they are metal to have flash on not Warlord resin with flash!!! And no Austrian's yet again.
