It took me a little to figure out what was happening with this machine. At first I thought the v-8 on the front was for something running the two big diesels. No, the alky v-8 output is connect straight to the driveline and has it's own throttle lever. It looks as though he uses the big diesels torque to get the sled moving then when he sees he is pulling straight. Then cracks the v-8 throttle for extra tire speed.
its genious because the deisel and methanol egines have very duffeent torque curves so basically the two diesels get it going and as the max out on rpms by then the gas engine can easily double the rpm and tirespeed without much effort. thats why it wakes gets violently fast at the part of the track where most run out of momentum.

just for clarification. the V8 is not fuel pump, starter or anything else, it is geared into the drive shaft of the 2x V12, so it aids in pulling. you can hear it start about 15-30 yards down the range, that's to not just spin the wheels, they use the 2x diesels to start, and then adds the power from the V8 on top. I have seen this monster myself several times, and while the power from it, might not compete with 5x V8's the combination is really unique, no one can argue about that :)

Take two identical vehicles but one has a 400hp/380lb tq gas engine and one has a 400hp/900lb tq diesel in it. Otherwise identical except for the proper gearing for each engines powerband. How do you tie t all together ,to make it work togather ,sycronizing intakes would keep you busy.
That SOB is a Beast
This machine kicks ass, no doubt.
Absolutely 100% BADASS!!!!!
Does everyone pack up when he backs out of the trailer?
What type of a transmission do they use to handle the torque? Is it helical or planetary?
think the HP numbers are a bit off lol stock the V12 make 700hp. Betting that tractor is putting out north of 6000hp
nice! good footage of this rig is hard to find if you only know how to search in English haha. thanks so much for sharing!

I may be the only one to ask this question, But how much weight can it pull and make a FP? It's pretty obvious that every pull is a FP but I just got to know how much weight is on the sled.
25 tonnes on the hook (sledge).
This is the only time I've seen the guy operating the sled wearing a helmet is with this tractor
If a boiler can run on pulverized coal. Its posible to ignite the black fumes of the exhaust?
A Spark plug or some post combustion system on the edge of the exhaust pipe.
it would be great to see a big flames instead of rolling coal.
That's carbon soot, light it off and you'll create CO2, carbon dioxide, greenhouse gas to the hippies.
Crazy and unique engine setup
Gotta be a trip riding on the sled when the ponies are let loose!
holy shit. it looks like he's using a blown alcohol Hemi as a pony motor to get those monster diesels fired off. thats some next level shit right there...OMG !!!
Whispering Giant has 8000hp, can this really be consideredthe most powerful at 4000?
Most powerful in Denmark maybe
Where are the Greenies ????
hmmm hvor er det lige en traktor kommer ind i billedet i den kategori/Klasse?? pga baghjulene.. (ville godt se den trække en F.eks Plov, høbinder eller ja)
Do I understand correctly that Hemi is not auxilary engine of sorts but also sends power to the wheels?
correct
What a sick design :)))
What is the logic of having a blown v8 when you already have two turbo v12s? Instant torque?
The sound bro
Why do these tractors look like a combine harvester with the driver seat turned around..
