I tried X4 on the Legion Go with a capped 36fps. Fps gets boosted to exactly 144fps. Extremely smooth like butter (smoother than X2 at 72fps). Works pretty well, but it does have slightly more warping around the screen sometimes, but it is game/scene-dependent. On the most part, it still works beautifully. Thanks for the video!
I could cap the FPS to 36 to match the screen refresh rate of 144Hz with X4 at 144FPS, but doing so introduces a lot of ghosting and artifacts, making it unplayable. This is because X4 requires a base of 60FPS to work properly.
I dont know what im doing wrong, for me when i activate it the performsnce drops dramatically, im playing at 1200p 60fps and when active it gows down to 14fps. I activated the same options as you, tried x2 and x4 and nothing, im playing days gone on fullscreen windowed
Here some tips as a new user. (on PC) What helped me was capping my monitors HZ from 144 to 120hz and also capping my frames 1-2 below 120fps. Test this for each game and see what helps you. RivaTuner also caused problems for one game, disabling the program fixed the performance problems. I would also start LS as Admin and put it in the windows settings on High Performance. Don't give up on the program if it doesn't perform right away.
With further optimization this tech mostly increases the ability to run stuff you are not supposed to be able to run or to run it at higher graphical settings than you should probably be allowed to get away with or to lower power consumption to stupid levels to extend battery life, but truthfully these things rarely apply to a Legion go. The difference between 3x & 4x likely doesn’t apply much to this device.
idk what happen to my legion go. but everytime Im turning on the scale , it just appear with black screen only with the fps frame on the left side. sometimes it doesn't let me go to the game until i turn off the scale. :'( I can see everyone use it without trouble.
This happens when your game is in full screen or exclusive full screen mode. Try setting the game to windowed or borderless mode, then click scaling and minimize the app; don’t let it count down to zero! Additionally, you can go to Lossless Scaling and set a hotkey, such as ‘F1.’ This way, when you’re in-game, you can simply press F1, and it will scale automatically. You need to map the back buttons in legion space to “F1” also.
@@T-PEN I tried to open the game on the windows mode. but it said the scale only works when it's on full screen mode. can I change that in the settings ?
Hello, you can try turning on GPU Scaling in AMD Software Adrenalin. In the game settings, try switching between Borderless and Full Screen modes. One of these options will make the texts look sharper than the other, it will also make the game looks sharper. Playing at 800P on an 8.8” screen feels like playing at 1080P on a 27” screen to me.
I think I managed to fix it. Set resolution in legion space to 1200p. Run the game at 800p. Scale in lossless. Now I have Diablo 4 running like mad man on ultra settings without raytracing. Locked at 36 fps X2 frame gen

This is because X4 requires a base of 60FPS to work properly. I don’t enable V-Sync in-game since it adds more input lag, and in-game V-Sync can only sync the base FPS, not frame generation. The only way to lock frame generation is to cap the FPS.
why use LS if it's 60 fps? I use EGPU and I have 60 fps natively in every game at 1600p and 45 fps is completely enough on such a screen :). I don't understand the LS phenomenon - I bought EGPU and real FPS is completely different. and many games have the dlss mod - e.g. The Witcher 3 and it works much better than LS.
@@T-PEN I don't get it Are you talking about the built in fsr in the game or from lossless scaling If the built in fsr turns off then you could use fsr or ls1 scaling from lossless scaling though

Yeah, I also rate it 9/10 for smoothness. If only the input lag and artifacts were as good as those of the X2, it would be perfect.
144 on 800p?do this eat a lot of battery life while gaming?
You can absolutely use x4 to do 30 to 120, on a lot of 30 FPS games it looks really great.

Can you use a higher display rather the the 800p? Or does it only work with that resolution??
How did you add the FPS received while Lsfg was active to the indicator? By the way, a fixed 60FPS is recommended for X4 even when Lsfg is active.

I would say DON’T limit the frames with RivaTuner. Leave it unlimited. & turn on latency x5 ,allow for screen tearing & see what happens tho 😉
Bro, can you make a tutorial on how to show the fps in large and the watts of the gpu as you have them on the screen
test the first descendant plz thx
You my good sir deserve more subs!! I'm been watching your video lately but im currently waiting for LeGo 1.5 or 2
Thank you, really appreciated your kind words.

Now there's really no reason to upgrade with the Lenovo Legion Go.
Legion Go 2 needs a 240Hz refresh rate screen now. 😅

How do you manage to play with such low res? My eyes can't accept when I play on my Legion Go. Maybe there is a trick I miss somewhere?

Could you please tell me about the case you are using now?
Hello, I just use a normal Legion Go TPU Case, I found it at my local store.
Whats the max fps do u set it to? Do you also enable vsync in-game?
I don’t set a maximum or capped FPS. Can someone please tell me what kind of overlay they are using?
Since the overlay from AMD itself is just rubbish because you can't rotate it!
Hello, I’m using MSI Afterburner + HWiNFO plug in, you can check out my old video, I already made a tutorial about this.
Thanks for the help.
👌🏾
Does this also work for afmf?
5x 6x 10x!
I used to be excited about high FPS, but now I just stick with X2 since it has become better and better compared to X3 or X4.

Hello there. Do you use scaling for 800p? And if so, which?
Hello, all four of these games I tested were at 800P resolution using Lossless Scaling.
Why not using upslaing i mean you're running the game at 800p
Why not upscale it to like 1080p
That would be a great combination, but unfortunately, AMD RSR automatically disables itself when Lossless Scaling is active.

I’m confused with RSR. In this video, I want to focus on LSFG 2.3. In the next video, I will use the FSR scaling type in Lossless Scaling.
@@T-PEN great
Does running lossless and rsr cause issues?
RSR will automatically disabled when lossless scaling is active.
How does one update lossless scaling?
Hello, you can go to Steam > Lossless Scaling > Settings > Properties > Betas > Beta participation and choose ‘beta-beta’.
@T-PEN interesting. So thats how u update it?
Bro pls test no rest the wicked game. This game a have not good optimize and test with lossles scaling.
do any one know where to download lossless scaling 2.11 , I didn't find it anywhere
isnt loseless scaling is on steam?
Hello, you can go to Steam > Lossless Scaling > Settings > Properties > Betas > Beta participation and choose ‘beta-beta’.
Please test with dragon dogma 2
Please Please can you try it with external monitor
Yes, I will. :)
Time to buy 240hz screen for you 😅
I just bought a 180Hz monitor, thinking it would be enough for testing with the Legion Go, but now I regret not getting a 240Hz one. 🤧
why u use 4gb ram?
Some games, like Horizon Forbidden West, require auto or 4GB of VRAM to run. Having 6GB or 8GB of VRAM can cause crashes.
fortnite make fps video😊❤
