great video, just tried the update and there is significant less flickering now on most games. The witcher 3 use to have flickering on geralts head and its gone. Very good update.
@@T-PEN Only thing you are doing wrong is thinking that resolution scale being equal to in game resolution. That resolution is optical flow resolution, you can use lower values without worrying about image quality. I use 70 for my 1080p monitor at all times and seeing almost no difference, for hendheld you can try even lower like 60 to gain a bit more perf.
Thanks mate, I finally can play hogwarts. I tried some configurations, there was a lot of ghosting and low frame rate even with all settled low. Also the pixels were so visible with my setting....bleach. Now everything looks smooth, sharp and fine. I also tested it with medium sky and grass. It still maintain the 80 fps.❤
ALSO I find 36 fps is more than acceptable and scales very very well at 2x and 4x frame gen for either 72 or exactly 144 hz respectively (some games are better than others it seems like)
Hi T-PEN, Can you try handheld companion and tell us what you think about it ? Seems to have really nice options like auto TDP, possibility to fix CPU and GPU clock... It fully supports the Legion GO.
It's nice to have from time to time but I really don't need much more than 40 fps on these handhelds and the visual artifacts and added latency is kind of a turn off to me. It really depends on the game I'm playing though. I'd use it in something requiring less precision inputs and twitch movement scenarios.
hi sir, thanks for reading my comment,I would like to ask you kindly if the latency of lsfg 3.0 now is close or similar to afmf 2. like 80% good as afmf 2?❤❤thanks
@T-PEN oh okayyyy , query did you use anything like bloatynosy to remove bloatware aswell have you done anything to prevent windows autoupdating your video drivers other than just completely.blocking updates
There are many third-party alternatives for capping FPS. I highly recommend using RivaTuner for lossless scaling and avoiding Radeon Chill, as it is specifically designed for AFMF2.
Dont need to install another program just set tdp to 20w it will auto restrict the dps as the game usually requires turbo. 15w should be sufficient to hit 30+ fps
This is a key note for lossless scaling regarding resolution scaling: ‘For higher resolutions used at higher than recommended framerates, or use the ‘Resolution Scale’ option to downscale input to 1080p: For 1440p, set it to 75%. For 4K, set it to 50%.’ They recommend setting resolution scaling to 75% for 1440p to downscale render at 1080p, and 50% for 4K to downscale render at 1080p. Since the Lenovo Legion Go has resolution options for 800p, 1000p, and 1200p, I want to keep the game at 1000p and downscale the render at 800p. I set the resolution scale to 80% (you can simply ask ChatGPT to convert 1000p to 800p resolution percentage, and it will calculate for you). For 1200p, I set the resolution scale to 65%, as there is no option for 66%, only 65% to 70%.
For demanding games with a base FPS around 30, AFMF 2 is better since it produces no artifacts. For less demanding games that can maintain 50 FPS, Lossless Scaling Frame Generation feels more fluid, with ghosting and artifacts being less noticeable. In summary, both have their pros and cons. If you are sensitive to artifacts and find them distracting, AFMF 2 is the better option. However, if you prioritize the smoothest gameplay and don’t mind a bit of artificial floating, Lossless Scaling is the way to go.

Why do you use lossless scalling in witcher 3? This game has a dlss mod - which works perfectly without any image issues
Legion Go is AMD igpu
LLS3 (Losslesss scaling 3) making DLSS 4 obsolete before it even comes out for $7 lol
I don't have legion go but kind of enjoy your videos 😅
Thank you.

Every time i use it on a game it just freezes the screen of the game until I unscale
40 or 60 FPS is going to lead to uneven frame pacing and micro-stutters @ 144hz. You want 36 or 48 at 144hz. 30 is fine if you're running at 60hz.
how about 75hz, so cap native at like 35?
I absolutely love Lossless Scaling on my laptop. I really wish I could use it on my OLED Deck!
Thanks for the video
really very useful application
Hi T-PEN,
Can you try handheld companion and tell us what you think about it ?
Seems to have really nice options like auto TDP, possibility to fix CPU and GPU clock...
It fully supports the Legion GO.
Thanks t-pen! So… do you prefer LS over afmf2 now?
I prefer AFMF 2 for demanding games and Lossless Scaling for less demanding games.
@@T-PENi see, how about the scaling type? On your previous vids about LS you use SGSR does fsr performs better now?
FSR performs better now with minimal loss in performance, and the sharpness makes the game look incredibly natural.
@@T-PEN when you add fsr to game with native resolution, you just add an unnecessary cost to frame gen fps.
I use also afmf2 on Kingdome Come Deliverance with Super Resolution but from time to time I gett stuttering issues...@@T-PEN
Hi is it also possible to lock fps through Quick settings legion go bar?
great!
Thank you.
Api is best wgc with w1 24h4, and the other hand when video to put losseles scaling fos big?
how do i update my lossless scaling. mine still shows 2.13.2
Which frame monitor are you using? Thank you!
I used MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, and HWiNFO. You can check out the link in the description for a setup guide.

How would this work when hooking the legion go up to a monitor?
Can you make a tutorial for MSI overlay
You can check the link in the description; I’ve included a video tutorial link there.
afmf 2 does not give me any gain, why?

Is LLS better them AfMF2?
No
Id like to see you try this with ARK Ascended
T-Pen what are your amd settings during this test
I performed a factory reset and kept all settings at default.

Could i just cap the fps by using amd chill? Or do you suggest using rivatuner
