@@zebedeereichert7204 well your narration is everybit as understandable and clean as Ryans. It makes the game very easy to follow. Keep up the great work!
Love the new editor’s flair and the new commentator! I was apprehensive around narration at first as Ryan left big shoes to fill but I’m really excited with the new direction!
Crisp narration, generally speaking, but I understand it's not to everyone's taste. As for the gameplay, a little more sloppy than I'm used to for PWP. Still a good game, and glad to see content from the channel.
Not that matters, but runic armasaur was casted using sol ring, swamp and command tower instead of the mox diamond in place of the swamp. This may just not have been mentioned in narration but there were triggers from the talions that could've been missed.
there was a yavimaya, cradle of growth on the field, so the swamp was tapped for green mana. Yavimaya was the Roxanne player's first land of the game, I believe
I like how humble you guys are, both makers and viewers. We understand the work behind and we love your content! I had one small question about the choice Alana did when she pitched her best spell in the deck towards these decks on her Chrome Mox at turn 2. Seeing that the turn cycle after that fills the board even more with creatures. This is not a turbo Naus game, so that board wipe could have put her in a great spot.
It's almost like AI was trained on real people doing this stuff. I'd be insulted if someone said this about something I did. This is way better than anything AI could ever do
I miss Ryan's voice, but this narration is also very clean! Quite a few missed triggers in this game, but it happens in games. Maybe have more consistent stack visuals for missed triggers in the future?
good work and great job, no matter what ill watch the videos as i like just seeing cedh played quickly, i do miss the OG voice of playing with power. this guy did do a good job not discrediting!
Was excited to see a Roxanne list, especially cedh. I’ve seen a lot of of cool decks, and it was surprising, cause I didn’t expect it to be that good. Kinda got stepped on unfortunately
@@V2ULTRAKill unfortunately I’m not super up on who’s winning what. Most of my cedh comes from this channel. I don’t have a big group to play with. But that’s awesome
Id like to preface this by saying i have no qualms with the different narrator: The guy sounds like hes trying to “find out next time on dragon ball z” but enunciates clearly and keeps a good tempo. Good stuff, i just thought it was a little funny
Theres kind of a series of that in progress on the channel already! Their “mystical teachings” series of shorts is all about trying to level up your cedh game, but its more focused on concrete things like nice card interactions and even more niche rulings than abstract things like table politics. Though it may not be what youre looking for exactly, i still highly recommend checking it out if you havent yet. Zeb also narrates those videos as well.
It's classic on this channel when someone whips out a new Commander for CEDH that he gets absolutedly dumpstered and does nothing for whole ass game. I was just thinking of building Roxanne so I am quite sad this is how it went again.
Possibly dumb question, but can't Chatterfang be activated with X = 0, only paying the black mana, just for the sake of targeting the Phantasmal Talion?
I consider withbloom a very weak combo, but is inpressive the nunber of players getting some win with that ..as one of my friends always says "commander is not the best who wins, but the last standing man"
Good job narrating this episode! If I could offer some other feedback: The card animations are phenomenal, but I think the card's are slightly too big right now which makes for the stacking effects and tracking triggers a little tricky (especially if the stack gets larger). maybe there's a happy medium between the old card sizes and the current one? Great job on the episode either way!
Then I saw it's a zero squirrel/aristocratic deck; and I didn't understand, If you don't use its abilities why not play Nath or Dina or Gyome or Glissa ? The only reason to favour Chatty is because he can squirrel loop.
Diabolical of ashani to point it out right before he was trying to do something worth interacting with knowing she was the only blue player at the table and had some open mana. Im not saying it was a crappy move on his part or anything, it was actually really smart if he was biding his time waiting for it.
Chatterfand can win earlier if the player try to play Pitiless Plunderer + Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthrout combo, I don't know why play the chain of smog combo that take to long to built
Unfortunately it got missed in the narration, but one squirrel token was sacked to target Ashanis Phimage Talion, and the second squirrel token was sacked to kill Alanas since it already had 3 damage marked on it from combat. Chatterfang killed them both.
Slaughter Pact is it against the rules to place a token/dice on top of library so you don't forget. Could the other players say you not pay for it you lose the game or are you required to pay for it if possible so if you forget have to undo your turn up to that point ?
With detrimental missed triggers like Pacts I believe they get placed upon the stack once someone realizes if it's been too long to rewind. If the owner of the trigger can't pay they lose the game then.
There was a rule against it, but it was removed when the pacts were printed, and is now allowed (I think it's section 3.8 of Tournament rules). As for missing the trigger, it depends on the group you're playing with. I've been on the end of both scenarios.
At competitive tournaments you used to lose immediately if you forgot to pay, but now they let you pay later as long as you can. Very shitty rule change imo. The card says do X or lose the game so you would think you lose the game immediately.
How was that sneaking in a win? He had the biggest board presence and dealing with threats left and right. Surely the other two weren't oblivious to his card draw and seeing what got discarded off of professor Onyx indicating he had a bigger threat in his hand. Agreed about Phillip though, man they got hosed and mainly just acted a beatstick for Ashani most of the game.
9:24 , Alanna shouldn't have to pay for the slaughter pact trigger because the entire table missed it during her upkeep. She does not need to pay for it during Ashani's turn because she forgot to on her upkeep
They handled it as correctly as they could have. Alana missed a detrimental trigger, Ashani pointed it out when it would've been more convenient. It's not the table's responsibility to remember your trigger
Very clean Narration. I miss Ryans voice for this but whoever is doing it now is doing a great job!
