    What I do is paddle at 25 kmh at busy roads. Cops look but let me ride as I keep to the speed limit. Also the reason I dont wear a helmet is to make them think its locked at that speed. I saw this yesterday. Love Dual batteries, Dual suspension, Dual headlights, Mags, Battery Blender and 750W motor! Down side: no rack and short frame. 1000W peak/54Vmax =18.5A controller... Good for range but a lil low on pwr...
    I wonder if a $330 20AH triangle battery would fit in there? 33AH is better than 26AH, and would look less like a motorcycle.

      I think if I bought this bike first would be change back motor to 1000wat get a more amp controller and up grade battery then you have a good bike. Just got mine in the other day, so far I absolutely love it. I was a little worried that you had gotten an "Influencer" version and I was going to get the "Sucker" version with missing parts and half-functional components, but nope, pretty much on a par with what you received. I still haven't put the headlights on yet as I don't really do any night driving (and it's still too cold even if I did), so I focused on the important stuff like a phone holder and a bluetooth speaker for music :). Took it out on it's maiden voyage yesterday and had a blast. I'm 60 years old and not interested in setting speed records, so this thing is more than fast enough for me. I have hills all over the place where I live, and while it doesn't chew up hills like my Nanrobot scooter does, it does just fine when I engage the 2nd motor (my legs lol). The only drawback is the 2nd batteries were out of stock when it shipped, so I'll have to wait before taking it on any safari's but I understand it's shipped so should be fully gassed up soon.
    I honestly can't say whether I like it better than the scooter at this point. It's a completely different experience, and they both have their strong points. The M20 is definitely a smoother ride, and probably has slightly more range with both batteries (probably a lot more if I pedal). The scooter has much more raw power, and I can ride sitting or standing.
    Anyway thanks for the reviews on this. I'm definitely happy with the purchase and can't wait to take it on some longer rides!
    btw, you should reach out to Nanrobot and see if they'll send you a review unit (Maybe the D4+ 4.0, I have the 3.0). I think they're an undervalued brand and definitely could use the pub.

    • @e-VRC
      @e-VRC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the tip re: Nanrobot, I've seen their scooters and they look great. I'll reach out. Trust me I've received review units with quite a few problems. There were a few issues with the Engine Pro but luckily easily sorted. I thionk generally shipping from so far from manufacturers that make so many units there are bound to be the occasional duff ones and it's how they sort out the problems that matters. I think sometimes I get sent used/refurbed stuff (which is fine, I can't complain) but huge youtubers may get units that have been quadruple checked. Glad you love the bike anyway. Ride safe 🤘

    Hi, just got myself one of these, love it, looks great. BUT. The top of the chain is touching the tyre when in gear 1, is this normal. The website shows a EU certificate. But will you be able to actually register this as a speed pedelec in EU? Does it have a EU vin engraved in the bike (vehicle identification number)?
    I loved my engine pro, but had to sell it because I could not get it registered at all, the certificate it came with was not valid.

    • @e-VRC
      @e-VRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not clued up on the laws regarding registering pedelecs unfortunately.

    • @GarrattHamster
      @GarrattHamster ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm. I wouldn’t really bother. There is only a handful of bikes that come with the vin numbers. And they mostly sell in the USA. And not only that you have to have the license plate. Insurance, bike license or the cbt test. Really if your going that route you may as well buy electric motor bike or just ebiking.

    • @kevincoach5153
      @kevincoach5153 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GarrattHamster Well, if want to commute, I'd like to go 45kmh. A license plate costs only about 35 EUR in Belgium, insurance is either not much or included in insurance I already have. A speed pedelec you buy in EU costs upwards of 5000 EUR. Which defeats the point imo. At a price point of 1000-2000 EUR it would be a real option. I'm afraid though that the provided certification will not be valid (again) in EU to register it as a speed pedelec.
      I really think there is a big market in EU for cheaper certified speed pedelecs. Wish Engwe would target that.

    I'm trying to chose between M20 and the Engine Pro Upgraded with an extra battery as I need something with a bit more range. The Engine Pro would have slightly more range at the inconvenience of having to carry the extra battery in a bag or something. What's the speed like between the bikes? Are they similar enough to be a non-issue?

    • @e-VRC
      @e-VRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. Speed wise the engine is about 4-5 mph faster. If you're ok with the battery in the bag then the engine is the better spec apart from standard range. If I had to give a bike away I'd give away the engine. Not because it's worse though, just because I love the style of the m20.

    2 batteries as opposed to just the one, I assume increases range and speed, right?
    Please forgive my ignorance but I’m completely new to e-bikes. 🙏🏼

    • @e-VRC
      @e-VRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats ok.... just increased range. There's 2 ways to set up batteries. In series means voltage doubles and so does power = more speed! Or in parallel so voltage remains the same but capacity doubles = more range!

    Must be illegal powering past 15mph, this would be confiscated, right? Looks so much fun though.

    We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

    Anyone here that bought a ENGWE M20 have problems with the Display.
    I programed everything except the Power-On password. Rode the bike around town and it was fine. I wanted a password on it to keep the wife off of it. Scene P8 is for the password setting. Now the P8 screen won't take my PW. When you power up the displays lights up then switches to the P8 screen and won't take my PW. So in short the bike is dead.
    I tried to set back to factory settings (Holed Power and + buttons at the same time), nothing just P8 screen. I even unplug the control box hoping to reboot it, nothing just a P8 screen.
    Called the company and they said, "Send order number , where you bought and a video of the problem". Is there anyone who has the same problem. Thanks

      Any luck with this? I thought I'd replied but maybe you wrote on a different M20 video too?

      @@e-VRC I'm in contact with ENGWE, which they are rather sloooow to respond to anything. They had me send a video of the display while I ran the Power-On pass word P8 screen. They then screen shot me the page out of the M20 manual (par 4-8 Power-On password setting) and said to try this and send another video with the results..... Nothing change still back to P8.
      That was a waste of time so far. Very nice bike very disappointing service AFTER THE SALE SERVICE so far............ Took them for days (over the weekend )to send a screen shot of the Power-on password instructions that got me here in the first place......
      Thanks for asking e-VRC

    If these were UK road legal it would be great even if you had to buy a cheap insurance policy. I have a Brompton that I would like an e-bike conversion for. How come you can buy a whole bike like this for around £ 1200.00 and you have loads of chancers selling just a wheel and a battery for around the same price, and they are made in China as well. What a great piece of kit.

      Yeah it would be a good idea. I've seen some kits for a few hundred. You'd only need a small one for a Brompton.

    Well, this looks decent, but I will be going with Lectric XPedition Cargo eBike as I think it's more useful.

      Engwe now have a cargo bike called the L20. I'll be releasing a video in a few days. Might be worth checkng out. Bet it's cheaper.

      @@e-VRC I'll check it out. I like the mag wheels as you don't have to deal with spokes.
