The scenes detailing Ken and Dierdre's Council/Recorder antics should be shown to people with chronic insomnia. The sheer dullness of it all would have them snoring in seconds.
I was so happy when the new guy ran off, thought BogFace Barlow wd finally get knocked off his high horse for a bit. He shd b a working w Percy as a lolipop man hah
Get rid percent n Ken n deirdre r needing outing tho they carries on into nineties with even more ridiculous crap oh but then they made tracey n Peter vice characters so the reason we watch these is we 4 got n we were teens wen we were happy n working wen j coyld get mortgages n have baby's without life now these episodes are a late night sorta calming
Thanks for all of these replays. I discovered Coronation Street a year ago and fell in love. I can't understand everything they say but "get it" somehow.😊 Watching from Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Vera is sure overbearing loud mouth excellent actress ( nowdays the soap is in need of actors n actress ) keep the oldies coming I rewatch all these gems 💎 thank you for your time ❤😅
Bloody hell, sick and tired and bored to death with everything about that damn little newspaper and Ken acting like it's a national newspaper when it's only a free give-away rag. IT'S FLIPPING BORING !!!
The character of Sally grinds on, I've never forgiven her for calling Hilda's house a "dump" to her face. She has one of the most irritating voices I've ever heard on this show, she's flighty, and is definitely thick as two short planks.
I’m glad 😀 ivy is happy 😃 with don and she as found happiness…Vera makes me giggle 🤭 “hey Percy go on give her a kiss” i love ❤️ the old ones of Corrie thank you 🙏 for sharing
Anyone else think the council have used Percy? If he’s too old to be the community centre caretaker ( with a home provided) how can they want him as a lollipop man ( who has to look for his own home)?
I was wondering from where I knew him. That was a great series! I saw the stage production in Blackpool a few years ago, it earned a standing ovation. Fabulous.
@@normasouthwood3182 aw did you see it? Quality. I've been hunting for the dvd they put out after but can't get it for love nor money now and it's not on yt or dailymotion etc. To the Regiment...
@@MarcoNegrisEye Yes I saw the stage production a few years ago. I recently watched the 2 series on DVD, Iborrowed from a friend. I think that she got them from Amazon. Good luck!! Amazing writing and acting.
@@MarcoNegrisEye oh sorry! I just realised that you're looking for the DVD of the stage show. Good luck with your search. I hope you find it, it was amazing to see how they managed to get those 2 obnoxious coppers boozing whilst on duty into the stage play!! (That cop with the high pitched titter always got me really angry!)
Was it some theory that trying to save an animal might cause a human death. It's a reflex action to avoid killing an innocent animal while driving, poor pets. But in this case, Jack was the cat Vera was distracted by 😮
How does breaking your nose stop you from working as a cellarman in a local pub? I broke two fingers and was in a stookie but still went to work on the building site the next day. Fair enough I was bloody useless but I still went 😂
Can't believe someone like the character Bet Lynch who has been around would be taken in by the wife beater. The actor playing Malcolm played Joe, the killer of Elsie Tanner's American husband Steve Tanner in the late 60s. They do a lot of recycling their actors in Corrie.
This American guy were in it in the 70s as a an soldier living with mini Caldwell he admitted to killing Elsie’s husband Steve tanner then he was seeing Erma Ogden then he shot himself so why have they got him back he played JOE DONNELY
The actor playing Malcolm from Canada also played the American soldier killing Elsie Tanner's American husband, pushing him down the stairs. Eco-friendly actors resource reuse, recycle, repurpose :D
They're bringing in Sandra to people liking her and saying so. Then they play the sympathy card with an abusive husband, this might allow us to accept her filling Hilda's cleaning roll. Huge shoes to fill.
Awww. Poor old Percy. He should call up one of his mates and go for a point, if he's feeling lonely. Oh, that's right. Percy has no mates. Can't imagine why.

No wonder Bob was a sleeping partner 😴
Agreed. I'd trade all the booze I've ever drunk to fart in Ken's smug lefty boat

I always loved that Gilroy character; he was always so wry.
Always in a world of his own making.
Thanks so very much for this!
Many Thanks as always.

I dislike Don intensely, hes sly.
Yes you get the feeling he's hiding something
Tad creepy too!
Constantly cheating on ivy & shes oblivous
Thank you so much!!!
Can't Vera turn the volume down EVER
Jason was a good lad. With a father like him though, it's no wonder he went a bit off the rails. Glad Sandra didn't go back to him
Love watching these classic corries love vera and jack
Jack is always in the dog house lol 😂

Do u know how much they paid for Hilda's house, I didn't catch the #
Sally is great, lovely character.
Dallys voice is like nsils on a chalk board whine whine typical karen , Gail is anither whinner and annoying 😮 not actors 😊
Here here. Sally's baby voice is extremely annoying especially wearing headphones and its 1000x worst when her and kevin start yelling at one another.
@@mattburke3457 was it 13 thousand?
I like how it is Vera's fault but she shouts at the top of her lungs (by god can she shout) at Jack. She just loves to shout full stop.
Vera reminds me of Zippy off Rainbow!
How can Jack stand that voice?
Vera will never call responsibility for anything, even making the girls miss a day of work for Ivy’s Rovers hen party.

Why Vera gets so much love I'll never know
I so love watching the classic corries i find vera and jack so funny 😂
Vera should get together with Sandra's bloke. They are both abusive, she is the female thug and he the male thug. A match made in hell :)
Why did Bet start dresing so dowdily?

Vera should be arrested for husband battering . And the other husband who is beating up his wife .
Who's the other one?
@@eivissalyn655 Ronnie Stubbs.
Both Jack n Vera need a Good battering. Thick as pig shit.
Its a right trek from Manchester to Great Yarmouth but you get to go through the gorgeous Peak district en route!
By heck, lucky you don't live here in Australia 😊✌️😄
Thank you!
Love Phylis - such a funny character and iconic woman!
The rovers is a lot happier without Alec
Anyone else think the council have used Percy? If he’s too old to be the community centre caretaker ( with a home provided) how can they want him as a lollipop man ( who has to look for his own home)?
And how come they allowed Ena Sharples & Albert Tatlock to be joint caretakers when they were in their 80s lol!
Percy has lied about his age and these days, health and safety, is ruling the world.
Its because Percy is a nosy parker!
Yes I didn't understand that either.
Mavis grinds my gears lol
She's right though how life never runs smoothly!
Love Mavis but yes she is annoying
Never remember seeing Bet with the Ellie May Clampet look back in 1988. Cute! That girl had some unique images!
Keith Braithwaite.
Tick Tock

The theme tune on the television in Jack and Vera's living room at 47.29 - What is it? It's driving me mad!
Don't know? But sounds like a load of shite!😅😅😅😅😅😅

48:35 So touching to see Alan Bradley's concern for a battered wife...
Excellent portrail of charming man syndrome. Charming men who control and manipulate purely for their gain.

I liked Sally better as a "badass chick" when she first came on, rather than dutiful housewife. (ha ha)
If she was found to have more than two brain cells, I'd faint from shock.
