Ken is such a Ponce . He always claims such moral high ground in every situation but has no qualms about jeopardizing Deirdre’s council position for the sake of his backstreet rag of a newspaper.
I loved Tina the Rovers barmaid played by Michelle Holmes She always cheered me up & seemed to express genuine humour & her smile was a winner I think she was in Goodnight Sweetheart as Gary Sparrows 1st version of his wife She was much better than the other actress who played Mrs Sparrow who was snooty & cold. I missed Tina when she left Corrie but she played many other roles in British tv & film. I also liked dippy Raquel who fell for Curly, finding him exotic because of his brains & education Lol, Regards 🇬🇧👧
Im still trying to figure out the attraction to Ken is for these women to chase him he has nothing to offer as far as I can see ( he 's a very angry abusive controlling person)
She was a good looking woman but is now looking a bit frail after losing her husband, Mark Eden (who played Alan Bradley) on Jan 1st 2021. That hit her hard. As everyone knows by now she is daughter of a life peer, Lord Hamer-Nicholls, and she is entitled to be addressed as The Honourable Susan Nicholls.....
Audrey, after putting them together, was extremely jealous of Alma and Mike. She lacked excitement in her own marriage and craved going out and partying. Of course, later on in life Audrey became Alma's closest confidente and protector when Alma became ill.
Here we go with the awful Wendy Crozier saga...Ken was an a-hole for what he put Deirdre through. Tbh, both Crozier and Ken were well matched with their moral high ground and seedy journalistic attitudes.

Agreed. One of the greatest moments in Corrie history was in 1990, when Mike Baldwin knocked seven shades of shit out of Ken in the Rovers
Alf was killing it on the dance floor:) that was adorable
When he twisted his way to the floor, I thought he wouldn't get back up.
What a mover
That's scene was hilarious 😂
He deserved to let his hair down. He spent the last fifteen years of his life having the p*ss taken out of him by Audrey
So cringy
Thankyou SO much for these episodes xx

The saga of Tina and that construction worker and his kid was the most tedious one.
She was In Bradford 80s Film Rita Sue Bob Too
Great UK Actress🍺🥃

In soaps, women love fat, miserable men. Just to remind us that it's only fantasy.
2:13:06 Alf Roberts dancing!! 😂.. what a mover!
Hahaha I really like that they matched him up w Audrey they really make me laugh a lot.. one extreme matched with the other
No wonder all the women loved Mike, he's pretty hot here.
I forgot how conniving Alma was.
Audrey doesn’t look that different considering it’s over 30 years ago and a number of the actors here have since passed.
So true! Audrey still looks great now(2022).. and she’s still feisty as ever x
Still looks like a old hag of a horse

Does anyone else just fast forward through all the garage scenes with Kevin and the new lad ‘wannabe Kevin’ Mark 🙄🤣
Yep, the banger racing storyline coming up next month is literally “I’d prefer to watch paint dry” dull 😆
And Kev always shouting goes right through me 😖
The 19 year old who looks
About 30
Ken suits the hat. I don’t know if it’s trilby. A Homburg would look good. I don’t know why hats went out fashion for men. They’re fabulous.
Audrey, after putting them together, was extremely jealous of Alma and Mike. She lacked excitement in her own marriage and craved going out and partying.
Of course, later on in life Audrey became Alma's closest confidente and protector when Alma became ill.
Audrey just mooched off alfie, she was horrible gold digger poor alfie was almost penniless when he died😢

theres nothing I love more then Bet & Alec ❤ that was a marriage made in heaven
Alec was punching
Nice to see Alma back as a regular. Her and Mike Baldwin make a lovely couple. Unlike the awful Susan Barlow who wasn't right for him at all.
Kevin needs to get rid of that tash
.. enter Stephanie Barnes! ;-)
I think Megan, the Welsh gal, was quite a fun character/ actress, shame she didn't get a longer spot on the show.
So true .. even though she was after ‘Bet’s’ position in the Rovers! x
Liked her Welsh Accent 🏴
that accent lol the only time i ever heard that accent was when i watched little Britain...i couldnt take anything she said seriously lol
Alf still dresses like it's 1965 in 1989 with the old style hat he wears Luv this era of Corrie so gritty with the two up two down houses.
men dressed a lot better in those days
Less than 10 years prior to this (when he was still married to Renee Bradshaw) he regularly wore a bowler hat, arguably even more old fashioned
@@alfredsedgewick2184 yep I think he suits the trilby

2:30:35 Joe Jackson- Stepping Out.....one of my life themes.
The Barlows are soooo boring! Alec and Bet are the best. I love Percy too!
Ken can't act doesn't help
The dog racing storyline was ridiculous
I had to skip through all of it.
Creepy ken
"When a building's falling down, that's when you do most decorating" 😂😂
Jack could be quite the sly snake at times.
Mike and Alma 🥰😱😭!! x

Times change chuck
And fresh fruit out in the sunshine although that wasn't too often to worry about.
Ken Barlow was so smug at this time, and wasn't this the beginning of his affair with the awful snotty Wendy?
Deidre shdve gone and slept w Baldwin just for spite after that bullshit ken pulled... I hope she at least feeds him a bunch of rubbish from now on... Let him sink himself
Yes, she was the secretary who was leaking Ken the details.
Deirdre's hair is beginning to look like a helmet at this point, it never was the same since, once you perm, prepare to squirm.
Not too sure how anything thought that was attractive even back then.
The Big Glasses are EPIC
Alf's walking like Daffy 🦆
Duck After His Disco Dancing
Dreary's hair is horrible
My mums first hair perm turned out like Deirdres and we all laughed and said she looked like one of the queens guards.
Never failed to amaze me how Ken and Deirdre had adult conversations with Tracey re Council business, the Recorder etc... ridiculous.
Plenty of children are highly capable, given the chance.
1:52:33 - Tracy Barlow back to being right-handed: the long-haired 1986-87 Tracy was left-handed.
Ah you must mean Holly Chamarette, she played the role of Tracy from 1985-88.
As if Ken wouldn’t just tell Deidre who the leak is, he doesn’t exactly work in Fleet Street! 😠
Check out Alf throwing shapes!😂
funny at 1:2640 when vera moves alma back into position
Mike deserves a decent love interest.
Bet could move into the Graffiti Club building.
All Deirdre had to do was, tell someone right from the start, that there was a mole at the council and it is nothing to do with her.
seems like the youngsters were ruling the street! must admit the older ones with elsie ena minnie etc were my fave
Mavis and Dereck do my head in
Mavis saying yes derek no derek & derek controlling her, he's an oddball
Ken is such an asshole … not giving a damn about his wife’s job and reputation just for a “story “ dreadful acting too
Kylie Minogue Stock Akin And Waterman classic blasting out on the Radio📻 at the cafe 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Alma was pretty hard faced when she first came on. She was St. Alma when she left Corrie.
No wonder Audrey and Alma would become best friends they both are terrible people
@@maine752002 I agree but Audrey was more entertaining than Alma.
Alma was very small minded
Bet had short hair then in morning, had long hair 😂
Short hair is a wig.
Bette invented hair extensions
No matter what the Duckegg's house was valued at, they could only have a small fraction of the value, in equity.
Love Phyllis haha and Percy is so rude to her!
Ah yes, I remember those days when people dressed smartly to fly.
I remember those days very well...
Tracylove gets on my wick...like Ken does.
What a wonderful character Percy was
Do you think the fight/confrontation with Ivy and Alma was to make her Audeys friend
Percy Sugden is a regular customer in Jims Cafe
He’s nowt better to do lol
He's a right missarble Sod But I like his character 👍🥃
Poor Phyllis 💔

Young Tracey seems a clever girl. Did she amount to anything?
😂😂 Yeah a murderer.
Aye but don't get your hopes up, neither of her victims were Ken or Deidre.
A murderer is all
Her grammar became better as she grew up, thank god.
Having a kid with Steve
I think the lovely Michelle Holmes ( Tina ) would have made an excellent, permanent character….🤔🤷🏼♂️👍
Ugh, Deirdre should have let Mike sue Ken. He is just...ugh...one rule for you amd another for me cos im special Ken
Deidre as a Council member is such a horrible bore
Alma , always full of it !! Overconfident….in real life too …,seen her interviewed …no self deprecating with Amanda Barrie 🤷🏼♂️🤔😳
''Supping a jug of sangria under a thatched umberella'' :)
Drearys pom pom perm is horrible .
Likely all the range back then though
I want to have the same length of hair as bet lynch
I never liked Alma all that much - a shallow calculating flipitygibit - She does have amazing eyes though
Is Tracy old enough for Mike Baldwin yet.
I didn't like Derek 😕 mavis was ok
Yep a very annoying character, supposedly to provide comic relief.. but a bit like Percy, was more irritating than funny!
@@EveHenleySpread the love triangle with Victor was iconic, though 😂

The club scene so cringy
